We use Ebiz along with our PeopleSoft CRM. I have not worked directly on it but I have used the functionality. Both products are from Oracle. Ebiz is used by our HR department mostly.

The other systems seem more user friendly and engaging- they look fresh and not boring. They seem to have better mobile capabilities and ability to have better reporting. We selected Peoplesoft because we have had it a long time, but we definitely want to get to the cloud

I’ve used similar products such as Lawson HCM, Dayforce HCM, and Kronos Workforce Management. All products function similarly, but I have not utilized nearly as many out of the box services they offer as I have with PeopleSoft. Lawson and Dayforce have proven to be much more mobile compatible and have a “newer” user interface that feels like you’re in the 21st century – as opposed to PeopleSoft. I would argue that both Dayforce and Kronos are better off as ready to use, out of the box, systems. However, this will prevent the means to customize and upgrade to fit business needs as PeopleSoft does living under Oracle.

Oracle Peoplsoft HCM was selected as it has quite a user-friendly feel and experience. The major end users would be HR and each employee in the organization. So it was one of the best tool available on the market which needs minimal training and can be deployed organization-wide. This is also scalable in nature as the organization grows, this product is mature enough to handle the HCM processes.

We reviewed a number of comparable software solutions and ended up choosing Peoplesoft HCM due to its features, solid platform, and the backing of Oracle. The product outshined others with its integrated portal, flexibility with user group access, and the ability to use the product for different purposes. The product also offered better scalability to meet the increased demands of large employee pools down the road.

I have only encountered the old Oracle HCM and a Financials systems that added on HCM functionality as an after-thought. PeopleSoft HCM is NOT an after-thought. It is designed well and has very deep and powerful functionality across the HR modules.

They are different applications as the FSCM application is for the Finance side of things. I haven't reviewed FSCM but it is a great application and interfaces with PeopleSoft FSCM. Journal lines are generated in HCM to go into the general ledger in FSCM and this interface works beautifully. I fully recommend both applications.

SAP, ADP, Dynamics GP. The only software or service that is comparable is SAP, but Oracle PeopleSoft HCM is far easier to implement in my opinion. Dynamics GP is less expensive, but a lot more limited in its ability. To get the same features in Dynamics GP you will need many third party add-ons, which means a more complex and less stable system.

I've used Oracle E-Business Suite. PeopleSoft is years ahead of EBS in both the User Interface, Mobile, Architecture and the product strategy/direction going forward. They are also ahead in the flexibility of the functionality as well.

I've also used Workday and Workday was ahead of 9.1's user interface and there is benefits to the SaaS model if you can give up flexibility and control. With PeopleSoft 9.2, that changes. The user interface has come a long way and competes directly. With PeopleTools 8.54 (9.2 toolset) you have out of the box native Responsive User Interface that requires no additional hardward or infrastructure for mobile enablement of your workforce using PeopleSoft. Also with the new PeopleSoft Selective Adoption delivery model with release 9.2 going forward, the benefits of frequent releases of new functionality that you get with SaaS can be realized with on-premise PeopleSoft, while still giving customers the control on the timing and amount of changes and new functionality they want to pull in. Compared to Workday, PeopleSoft has always been much more full featured by a fairly large margin. Functionality-wise PeopleSoft is a very mature product offering.

Oracle PeopleSoft was much easier to learn than AccountEdge. The way that information is laid out in PeopleSoft makes navigation more intuitive. The only advantage that I felt AccountEdge had over PeopleSoft was in its user-interface. AccountEdge is more visually appealing, where PeopleSoft sometimes feels outdated. In every other way, I preferred PeopleSoft over AccountEdge software.
