Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

I think Oracle Integration Cloud should be used for more often when considering integration services. As someone who now works in the RPA space, where often bots call, translate and send API requests with extremely high licensing costs - Oracle Integration Cloud would be a better fit. Environments where prebuilt connectors or where there's no API, webhook or other tool to call, OIC is not the correct tool to use.

Oracle Integration (OIC) is well suited where you have multiple inbound and outbound interfaces connecting to various systems. No coding is needed and it's very user intuitive. Oracle Integration (OIC) is less appropriate if it doesn't have the adapter for a particular system you are planning to integrate with. EDI integration is not supported. It is also not suited if all your applications are maintained in single system, as there won't be a need for integration.

Good product. Needs practice and expertise to use it efficiently. The logging feature is detailed and provides better insights into the processed transactions to help troubleshoot if any issues. It features Out of box adapters that make it easy to integrate a wide variety of third party systems to the subject system. There is also a feature of writing custom adaptors that are built using the REST technology.

OIC is very well suited for large scale companies or business where there are a plethora of integrations between different Oracle applications. Enable users to digitize and modernize their end-to-end processes and integration using a single, seamless platform.

  • Oracle Integration (OIC)(include Oracle Integration Cloud Service) has plentiful adapters to enable cloud-based integrations - excellent coverage Oracle SaaS services even support event-driven integration. The pricing model is very competitive and gets billed for hourly consumption.
  • It is well suited if you have multiple systems that need to be automatically integrated.
  • Less suited, when you have one system where all the applications are maintained.

Well suited: Oracle Integration Cloud is used for integrating with different systems together.
Less Appropriate: When there is not much integration involved with two different systems.

We have one of our internal tools which we wanted to integrate with the Our Peoplesoft Application, where we have to sync the buyer workflow in both applications using the OIC as a middleware. We don't want to give direct access to PeopleSoft from other applications.

It's a robust integration platform with great ease of use. I would highly recommend it. We are using it at various places within our Finance, Grants, and HR space to perform third-party integrations using SOAP, REST and Flat file connections. Its notification feature is great, and it allows us to not import the incorrect data into our core applications.
Since it's an integration platform, we can't necessarily use it to perform heavy data processing.

OIC is well suited for integrations that can be re-used and have web APIs or service call capabilities. Flat File-based integrations are possible but perhaps not the best use case.

In order to achieve a scalable business solution. This is well suited for big companies with big teams who have a need to harness data. I don't think a company just starting out should use this - it's too expensive and you may not have enough data to input.

  • Training is becoming so easy for the end users, technical users, functional users and architects
  • Documenting step by step for training, development is an easy task for all kind of users in a real time manner Saves lots of time and money

As a cloud-first organization, we contract with numerous providers that require we ingest data feeds 24x7. OIC allows us to quickly develop new feeds quickly and efficiently. We make extensive use of CSV and SFTP data feeds to load data from cloud-based call centers and on-premise applications into our data warehouse in order to provide up to date data-driven decision making.

It is well suited for orchestration of data and providing a platform that is easy to use and maintain internally by an organization. It may still be used for exposing data to customers and end users but if a lot of UI work is needed it is not going to help you present the data.

For all type of integration except those with a huge volume. It can deal with 20MB of transactions and processing of 1GB file when a file is being read using file or FTP adapters. It cannot be used for EDI as this support is not there. OICS is a perfect fit for other integration and is best when a customer has Oracle applications in the landscape. It is even greater if you have a requirement to create a custom form and make use of Process Cloud. All of these work very well together seamlessly. API needs can be handled by APIary.

As middleware implementation provider, we have recommended the Oracle SOA suite for migrating Oracle acquired products like (SeeBeyond, ICAN, Java CAPS 5, Java CAPS 6). Its B2B supports an EDIFICES tool to customize messages and prepare custom messages to support COBOL in copybook format.

SOA suite is well suited for any company running multiple components from the following list: Weblogic, JDeveloper, Oracle Service Bus, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and JavaDB. It allows seamless development utilizing one or any combination of these components to create powerful services. It is not well suited for companies [only] utilizing a single one of these technologies.
