Outlaw has become an indispensable tool for streamlining the review and execution of contracts with medical facilities, saving users a significant amount of time. It is particularly useful in sales and legal departments, where it allows for end-to-end operations of contracts. Users can create templates for standard agreements and customize fields based on the client they are sending the contract to. This flexibility extends to various purposes, including employment contracts, business contracting, and credit applications. With multiple users utilizing Outlaw on a daily basis, it serves as a central platform for both internal and external contracts and letters. Its collaborative features simplify the process of collaborating on contracts and sharing them with clients. One standout feature is its automatic generation of variables, ensuring that sales and customer success representatives stay on track without the need for manual adjustments in word documents. Additionally, Outlaw captures redlines efficiently, speeding up the process of redlining contracts with clients and ultimately leading to faster deal closures. It has been especially valuable in digitizing the contract process for MacBook users who lack access to Microsoft Word. Outlaw also allows organizations to create standardized contract templates across departments, ensuring consistency across different projects. Furthermore, it offers easy editing capabilities for clients through shared links, particularly beneficial for template documents. While there have been some issues with exporting finalized documents, customers have reported positive experiences with responsive and helpful customer support. The onboarding training provided by Outlaw has proven beneficial for users as well. We are using the product across our whole staffing business - both for internal contracts and letters (offer letters, employment contracts, NDAs etc.); but more importantly for our customers and consultants where we issue terms and conditions of business and consultancy contracts. Outlaw enabled us to reduce spend on DocuSign and have more control over contracts than using MS Word.
  • Legal document creation.
  • Templating.
  • Signing.
  • International features - date and currency formatting is US centric.
Well suited to template led document creation - where multiple non legal users can create contracts that are locked down and secure from error.

Because it is a niche platform it can be tough to persuade users outside our business to use collaboration features. Often we have to export and revert to using MS word for red-lining/track changes.

We use Outlaw on a daily basis and multiple users across departments can access and use it. As Contracts Manager I often logged in and used it for most of my working day.
  • Ease of use.
  • Audit tracking on changes made within contracts.
  • Template system to streamline contract creation.
  • Searching for specific keywords when on the Contracts page (not while in the contract itself).
Outlaw is excellent if you deal with a high volume of contracts with multiple clients and suppliers. Especially if, for example, one client could have several contracts with your company (i.e. perfect for recruitment business).

Used to streamline our contracting. Really great for template documents because you can just send out links and it is easily edited by your clients. The only problem has been exporting the finalized document, however, whenever we have issues customer support makes themselves available. Onboarding training was really helpful.
  • Makes sharing contracts easy.
  • Allows clients to send the contract to the right person.
  • Export function to be more easily used.
  • Ability to access fully executed documents more easily (the different version histories results in the wrong version being downloaded a lot).
  • Notifications for when a contract is fully executed if you aren't the signee but do need to be notified.
If you have a lot of standard contracts this works really well and will make your sales teams jobs much easier!

It is being used across the whole organization but mainly through the sales and legal departments. We use it for all our agreements from sales, to referrals, to mutual NDAs. It allows us to create templates to use for our standard agreements within our company which is nice. It also allows the fields to be edited to make sure its custom to the client we are sending it to.
  • Templates. This allows us to create one document and just edit the contact details.
  • Simplicity. It's easy to use.
  • Tracking. We can see who did what when and who has viewed it.
  • Address book. This is a top priority for us. The fact that when we send our agreements, we have to have multiple screens open to copy and paste contact information is cumbersome.
  • Reminders. If I have sent a contact, I would love to receive an auto email telling me the client has viewed it, hasn't viewed it, etc.
  • PDF upload for signature. It should be easier. Upload PDF, select signature spot, and send.
Functionality is better than not having it. I can create our 4 documents, within a half hour, by simply using templates. If I had the address book function, it would be even shorter, I say 5-10 mins. That is time that I would love to have back, especially if I'm sending 5 sets out a day. That's an hour I get back to do other things.

We use it for all our contracts with medical facilities. It is used across all departments for the review of contracts and executing contracts. Outlaw has changed our system from paper to digital and has streamlined the whole process and has saved us a massive amount of time. Outlaw has made it incredibly easier for end-to-end operations of contacts.
  • Contract templates - With the templates I can edit contracts very easily and on the fly. With it being digital it updates in real time for everyone to review instantly.
  • No need for paper - With the digital contracts we can create, execute, and store all in one place for us and are customers to access easily.
  • Checkpoints - Checkpoints have streamlined our verification process through out our company. When a contract is done, we send checkpoints to other users to verify and we don't have to run people down for verification.
  • Creating templates does have a learning curve to get the contract exactly how you want it. If it was set up more like Microsoft Word or Google Docs. It would be easier to navigate.
  • Checkpoints are great except there is no way to send a reminder to the people in the checkpoint process. The only way we can get a reminder to them is to cancel the whole checkpoint and redo it and have the people that all ready verified the checkpoint to verify it again.
  • The dashboard need to have more options of what stage, when the contract was updated, and who has viewed it. I think the dashboard need an overhaul as it is kind of clunky.
Outlaw is great for companies that use contracts on a regular basis. Outlaw keeps all of your contracts in one place and is fairly user-friendly. If you do not use the contract on a regular basis I would not see a use for the software. Overall it is a great program once you learn how to use it internally. End-to-end I have not seen much better.

Outlaw is used to create standardized contract templates for our staff and consultants. We are working on creating more templates for vendors and grantees of different types. Only a select few use Outlaw. There are specific people in each department that have access. I work on the programs team, creating contracts for the individual consultants we hire on our projects, but the HR department, for example, uses Outlaw to hire people on standard full-time employee contracts. This has helped maintain consistency between our contracts no matter what the project is.
  • Easy to use from the contracting side.
  • Ability to create a template that fits are needs exactly how we want.
  • Easy to connect the consultant with the contract via link or email.
  • I'd like to be able to have a list of consultants/vendors we've used before, like a contact list. Then if we have a contract with someone we've worked with before (which is often the case), it pulls all their information automatically. We don't have to add all their personal information, banking, etc. again.
  • Checkpoint reminders or checkpoint 'read receipts.'
Outlaw is well suited for the situations I describe below with staff and consultants. However, we work with a lot of consultants abroad who don't have easy access to internet, email addresses, etc. In those cases, we need to create the contract in Outlaw, download the PDF, send it to our field team, have them get the consultant to sign it, send it back, re-upload it into Outlaw, and then manually add a slot for our Vice President to sign. He then has to save a final copy. Because we have to use the same process to remain compliant, it becomes a little bit round-a-bout. I'm not sure if it's possible to fix that.

We use Outlaw on both the sales and customer success teams.

Outlaw makes it very easy to collaborate on contracts and share them with our clients.

The automatically generated variables make it very easy to keep our sales and customer success reps on track. We no longer waste time adjusting variables in word documents. It also captures redlines.
  • Collaborative contract building.
  • Automated variable logic.
  • Ease of reading w/overview page.
  • Share-to-customer workflow.
  • Editing redlines.
  • Permissions allowances.
Great for fast-paced teams that need an agile solution. The overview page makes it easy for the customer to digest. The logic behind variables is robust. So easy any sales rep can use it. Redlines and editing them is overly governed. Sharing with prospects is unintuitive and could be done better.

We used Outlaw for various purposes, from employment contracts, to business contracting. We even implemented some of their features for normal operations in regards to T&C's/Applications for credit.
  • Simple, easy to learn user interface.
  • Support team set the standard for digital contracting services.
  • Personalized on-boarding experience.
  • End user interface (signing) easy to navigate.
  • API/Integrations.
  • Ability to embed Outlaw services into custom software (headless).
Depending on company size, Outlaw is a perfect fit. Small to med sized businesses who utilize this service would excel, given that the amount of contracts being sent to different recipients on a manual basis was not high.

Outlaw for the win!

As a seasonal business we use Outlaw to send employment contracts to our team every year. It solves the issues of individually creating contracts each season and organizes our archived files.
  • Flexibility in system to manipulate individual aspects of a contract.
  • Customer service - Outstanding attention to any issues we have encountered.
  • Ease of use for anyone, even if not 'tech savvy.'
  • Contracts sometimes go to junk or spam folders for employees.
  • Limited ability to individualize emails that are sent to staff, I would like to personalize these much more.
  • Sender address has to come from Outlaw. Many of our younger staff see this an assume its not a real email so delete it. I would like the ability to control the sender email address.
I like the software and it comes at a great price point compared to many others. It is great for any company who wants more flexibility. As it is less established than other companies it does still have teething problems that you have to deal with.

Our sales team uses it and has sped up our entire process to redline contracts with clients and ultimately, close deals! It's so nice to be able to do it digitally, especially since we use MacBook computers, that don't have Microsoft Word, so bringing this process to an online platform has saved countless hours.
  • Negotiate terms of contract.
  • eSignature.
  • Track progress.
  • Easily change signatory details.
  • Setup time.
  • Learning curve for sales team.
Great for going back and forth with Redlines and an electronic signature option. Tracking of progress is great! Only issue is if client is old school, and has a difficult time with technology.
