At ExamSoft our entire Sales team uses Outreach. Our Inside Sales team uses Outreach on a daily basis, while the Outside team uses it less frequently, but both teams have seen the value. The Inside Team sends over 1,000 emails per week through the platform. The Inside Team uses Outreach to send out their weekly campaigns. For instance, we ask that they touch a target vertical that week and they'll use Outreach to create their template and mass email contacts or set up a sequence to email a contact over a few weeks. As we're a small team, Outreach helps us expand our reach easily and efficiently. The platform is extremely user-friendly and gives data and analytics so we can continue to work smarter as a team.
  • Analytics - Outreach keeps track of everything, which we love. I'm able to see how many emails my team is sending out, how their templates and sequences are working as far as open rates, click rates, and reply rates. This helps us make decisions for email campaigns in the future.
  • Customer Service - Outreach has the best customer service out there, hands down! We've had similar tools in the past and one selling point for us was the dedicated account manager and training we received with Outreach. Support is always quick to answer questions and help us solve problems we're facing, while our Account Manager keeps us up-to-date with product updates and overall tips we can use to increase our performance.
  • Sequences - We love using sequences at ExamSoft. Outreach gives users the flexibility to set up sequences by an exact date/time or by the length between activity. These have made the Inside Sales teams' life much easier!
  • The Outlook Web Browser Plug-In - Outlook is a tough platform for companies to integrate with and Outreach has made tons of improvements here over the last year, but I would like to see continued improved with features and functionality. Specifically, a send later function.
  • SalesForce Integration - We've had some issues this year with their SalesForce syncing and have had to make changes to the backend so these would work. Hopefully we've got them all fixed, but I would like to see an easier answer to these integration issues, and hopefully never have to deal with them!
The majority of our use in Outreach is to send mass emails to prospects with the Inside Sales Team. We like the ability to create and share templates and sequences within the team, as well as dive into the data and analytics following campaigns.

We use Outreach a lot as a sales team. It is our main tool of communication and lead cadencing. We use salesforce alongside it and the two seem to pair up well. There can be some communication issues between the two but nothing you can't work through. Overall it's a great system that is visually pleasing and somewhat simple to operate.
  • Organization
  • Tracking opened emails and bounces
  • Simplifying your work day
  • Better communication with other tools like SalesForce
  • Tasks could be a little more organized
When you want to continuously touch a lead and not put much mind into it the system is very useful. The system also does a very good job of pulling other completing companies in the area so you have an idea of who you are actually speaking with. It could work for most businesses I feel.

It is being used by our marketing and sales departments. It streamlines our prospecting and account development.
  • Automates email prospecting to save time and resources
  • Provides useful analytics that help determine effectiveness of messaging
  • The dialer really helps making calls quicker and freeing up more time for other prospecting
  • Greater ability to modify scheduled date of sequences
  • Greater overview of notes from Salesforce.(I still have to go back and forth between the two more than I would like)
  • The dialer can be slow at times.
Outreach is well suited for me as an account development manager. My job is to contact and get a hold of as many people as possible in order to schedule demonstrations of our product for our sales team. Outreach helps me maximize my time and results.

Our sales team uses Outreach but they do not really prospect so it becomes more of a tool to just send emails.

Outreach is used by our SDRs and AEs on the corporate and mid-market side. We use Outreach to automate our sales process and improve the efficiency of our prospect engagement. It helps us see what messaging is resonating the most, which is helpful for our start-up. Outreach reminds us to touch the prospects we've sequenced resulting in better, smarter activity.
  • Outreach does a good job of allowing users to use pre-written emails, snippets or templates for better time management
  • Outreach is great at organizing with the Smart Views and Sort and Filter options
  • 360 view gives users a great picture of the day/week they have ahead of them, so they're able to properly prepare
  • My emails were delayed in sending, a technical problem on Outreach's end
  • Reports are difficult to read/interpret
  • Outreach is having trouble syncing calls to Salesforce
Outreach is great for following up with warm leads after a conference, or other MQLs. However, when further personalization is required, the tool is less appropriate.

Outreach is used by the sales organization to better streamline communication to our customers and help automate some of the tasks that often slip through the cracks. It's helping us convert leads at a higher rate, and uncover messaging that works well so that future communication can be more effective.
  • Automation - Outreach enables some automation of certain tasks. This makes it easy to set/forget items that can easily be forgotten otherwise.
  • Scheduling of emails - there are times that I'm thinking of an email I need to send, but I don't want to send it right away. Outreach enables me to schedule the delivery for later. The interface and functionality are very easy to use.
  • Bulk composing emails - the ability to pull automated fields to fill into emails when you need to send a similar email to multiple people. Makes it very easy to communicate to people, making it personalized and much more effective than a mass email.
  • Mobile - I'm not aware of any functionality on mobile. Would love a mobile app to review my outbox, see what emails have been viewed, etc.
  • Static window - with their new window mode, I'd love to be able to lock that window on the outbox to see in real-time what emails are being opened and what attachments and links are being clicked on.
Great for bulk emails on product updates that need to be personalized. Great for starting an email chain to a net new prospect.

Not great in automating (with flexibility) communication in scenarios of account management over the lifecycle of the customer.

Outreach is predominantly used by our sales department to manage prospect clients through the sales cycle. It ensures we make regular contact while working a prospect and also allows us to automate emails saving a ton of time.
  • Automation of reoccurring emails
  • Tracking of prospects right through the sales process
  • Ease of use and navigation
  • Reporting
  • Sometimes it drops calls
  • Great for using in a sales enviroment

We're using Outreach primarily for sales process automation. We make the most use out of the sequencing capability, but also use the platform for dialing out of Salesforce, sales ops, and from what I understand we use it for some marketing automation-type features as well. The primary problem we're addressing is how pipeline management and automating sales activity.
  • Sequence/Cadence construction involving a multi-touch approach
  • Prospect engagement
  • Salesforce integration
  • The Outreach University has great info on the technical aspects of the platform, but it'd be great to see more content around how they/others are using the platform successfully with examples!
Outreach is perfect if you belong to a team that has made sales enablement investments and has a strong product marketing culture for copy and targeting. At that point, it becomes a game-changer in delivering a high-quality, high-value sales platform experience that increases activity and exposure. However, in the wrong hands, the tool can be used to propagate more brand-harming SDR activity. In the words of Uncle Ben from Spiderman - "with great power comes great responsibility".

Used to just be an SDR tool, was distributed across the entire sales org recently. Is a great tool for keeping emails and followups on track, personalizing outreach at scale. It's my main source of meetings and is a part of my every-morning routine. I like being able to keep track of how engaged my prospects are as well.
  • Automated outreach -- takes care of the entire job of outreach for you as a sales rep. No more Yesware or Boomerang.
  • Awesome scheduling and gmail integration -- I work out of gmail primarily and it's nice to be able to access scheduling and prospect engagement through that.
  • Keeps track of engagement so I can prioritize which prospects to add to further touches or call.
  • Some issues with the outreach everywhere extension -- accessing the sidebar panel makes my browser window behave weirdly.
  • The workflow for being able to access account information and sequence info from the prospect level could use some work-- some of it doesn't make any sense.
  • Salesforce integration is a little clunky -- doesn't sync information over consistently.
[It's] Great for personalized email outreach at scale that includes various channels, multiple touches, high customization and engagement tracking. Also great for working with prospect engagement real time within Gmail and Salesforce.

We are utilizing your services for more of our sales team.
  • open feed to let me know when people are opening up emails
  • sequences and auto drips to make emailing a lot easier
  • being able to better understand my daily metrics and contrast them to monthly
  • the integration between Salesforce and outreach lags.
  • cannot add in prospects that may have a duplicate email address, even after you delete the contact on SFDC
Outreach works well in its true form, it's a great way to better leverage your contacts and start-up sequences to mass email prospects in your book of business. The only caveat is the way in which Salesforce integrates with outreach. Sometimes the information can be false or we can have issues on the feed itself, where it's way held back in time to open.

I believe nearly everyone from BDRs to AEs uses Outreach. It provides a much faster, more efficient, better interface to contact prospects and customers and record that information. We use outreach to contact all prospects through email and phone. It also allows us to easily see the communication history of a prospect and account. It allows for very smooth and effective transitioning of communication between BDRs and AEs.
  • Great interface for communication. Gives one easy platform to call and email prospect. Also gives you a place to add URL of website and LInkedin profile.
  • Provides a great way to see communication history. Makes it easy to see which emails have been opened and responded to, also which calls have connected. Proved a recording of the phone call.
  • Provides options for sequences and super-sequence to automate tasks.
  • It would be great to be able to merge accounts/prospects. As it stands I do not believe that is a function.
  • It would be nice to be able to see an overall view of all communication from an account, to see who has engaged the most.
  • It would be great to have a video recording interface!
I really can't speak for many other industries than my current one. I think anytime/position where you need to communicate with a large volume of people and follow up with them, this is a great tool! Outreach is a huge improvement on Salesforce in terms of giving a better UI to communicate with prospects, record information, and follow up.

I myself have challenges using Outreach to remind me to do specific things. I still rely on my calendar to remind me about specific, important tasks.

Just by the sales department and it addresses our prospecting problems (cadences emails, keeps track of prospective clients and provides tasks to SDRs). Typically it is used only by sales but I think our marketing department has used it a couple times to develop template email responses to our current and new members.
  • Accessibility
  • Color scheme and user-friendly
  • Ability to send a large amount of emails at once
  • Scheduling emails appropriately and the difference between sending and scheduling
  • Calls drop all the time
  • The app is tough to work with chrome (crashes a lot)
Well suited: large email campaigns, the need for fast, easy to access template email responses and for creating detailed sequences for a limited number of tasks.

Less suited: high call volume (call drops all the time), advanced sequence creation and full customizing of sequence steps for specific sales prospecting.

[It's] Being used primarily by sales. Within sales, it is used by sales associates to automate emails, track email opens and forwards, and make calls. It aims to address the business problem of efficiency. Salespeople already have a lot on their plates. Outreach helps automate as much as possible so that the salesperson doesn't have to remember quite as much and can reach prospects easier.
  • Automated Emails
  • Email open and forward tracking
  • Manual call and email tasks
  • Syncing with Gmail
  • Overlay screen can take up a lot of loading time
  • Uploading contacts from Salesforce to Outreach could be easier
  • To my understanding, there is no way of uploading contacts via a spreadsheet
Well Suited: Tasks and calls are much more manageable
Automated Sequences are great.

Less appropriate for calling someone you already know because local presence seems sketchy.

Across sales. The SDR team uses it for a ton of campaigns and much more mass outreach initiatives. I use it differently because I am typically focusing on an individual at a company. For me, it makes it easier to track emails in Salesforce, schedule emails and mask phone numbers. Saves me time and brings efficiency.
  • Schedule emails
  • Hide phone numbers
  • Link to Salesforce
  • The feed of who opens emails and tracking should be improved
  • Support in terms of training
  • Alternating call numbers and more global access
Outreach is great for a sales team that is looking to create structure, operate more efficiently and better quantify performance. Unfortunately, I am not that focused on all the functionality of Outreach and I typically only use the features I am comfortable with and know. More training could be helpful to improve my work.

It's my understanding that our entire sales org is onboard with Outreach. I know others use other forms of messengers that better fit what they are looking for. Our team specifically uses Outreach in tandem with Salesforce to help automate our messaging and assist us in keeping our pipeline organized and on target.
  • The simple layout
  • Ability to customize to individuals preferences
  • Intelligence available to me in preparation to a phone call
  • Your support team has always been quick to respond and very helpful
  • The new update (Outreach Everywhere) is a pain point for me and I am not a fan. I would appreciate the ability to switch back to how it once was.
  • Throughout my day, I have to keep refreshing outreach so the error "VOIP Device not connected" stops coming up.
  • I'll make a call and it says I'm live but I hear nothing. I'll hang up and refresh outreach and it will start working again. This is randomized and quite frustrating as prospects call me back and say "did you call?"
  • Seeing that I have to use Outreach everywhere. Every time I open it it will shrink my page to a small box. When I exit Outreach everywhere it will perform the same function. I work on three screens and I don't know what the trigger is but at times my screens will slide different directions. If this is a bug please fix it. If i'm doing something wrong, please help me.
Outreach makes sense to use when you're first reaching out to a contact and you want to start a sequence. When reaching out to old contacts you will find that setting follow-up tasks to re-engage the conversation keeps things organized quite well. I rely so heavily on Outreach that I don't know where I would dial back on using it to keep me organized?

Our sales department uses Outreach for lead generation. It has been extremely useful in helping bulk email my large account base. I use it for on-going account management and to help break into new organizations.
  • Breaking into new companies. I can customize my messages but also send a generic message to multiple users.
  • Account Management. I use Outreach to help manage my life cycle of my current accounts.
  • I would like to see Outreach create an email finder for organizations I am breaking into.

Outreach is used by our entire sales team to help streamline our outbound efforts to new prospects. The tool is extremely effective in enabling our team to work faster and smarter. We can have a much more targeting approach to our prospects and it helps us drive revenue. It has been a fantastic and very valuable tool for us.
  • Campaigns - you can create sequences with your own detailed messaging and set up exactly how often you want to reach out to someone.
  • Integrations with Salesforce - very simple to have both systems working in tandem. Makes it easy to import and export contacts and accounts.
  • Task Setting - one click of a button and you can set a task trigger for another time in the future. It allows you to populate the task with notes so that way people don't slip through the cracks.
  • Mass emails - if you send too many emails the system sometimes can't handle it.
  • Sometimes it can be a cumbersome process to bring in new accounts or get rid of old prospects/accounts. Doesn't let you do so on a mass level.
If you have a sales team that needs to put out a high volume of calls and emails on a daily basis you need to have Outreach. It allows people to stay organized and on top of their book of business. Less appropriate if your company is not focused on outbound sales.

We use Outreach specifically in our business development organization. Outreach has helped us organize our communication flow, evaluate content and make informed decisions about what we say and when. We are no longer guessing about what works and what doesn't. It has also helped us dramatically reduce our BDR onboarding time.
  • Outreach is great for building sequences, which allows us to standardize on a best practice for communicating various messages.
  • It is so helpful in providing insight into what is working and what isn't.
  • It's tremendously reassuring to me as a manager to know that all my reps are sending the right messaging and following through consistently.
  • I think the manager-level reporting could be a little more intuitive. As it is, the reporting seems to be done primarily at a user level.
  • Would love to see a simple way to sift through the sequences when looking to add someone to a sequence.
Any sales organization that needs to outbound in any volume should be using this.

Our organization uses Outreach for our account based outbound sales outreach. With Outreach.io we are able to create 'sequences' which are a series of outreach touch points primarily consisting of emails, calls, and activity on LinkedIn. The semi-automated, semi-manual sequences allow us to drop a prospect into a pre-planned sequence and their interface facilitates us doing daily 'tasks' which are the touch points I mentioned. It helps our sales team move a lot faster and with more consistency.
  • Outreach sequences with a good cadence and a variety of different touches are great.
  • Identifying successful outreach techniques within the team is easy and then duplicating them for other team members is easy.
  • Integration with LinkedIn was helpful but needed improvement . I wish they had improved it instead of deprecating it.
  • Outreach still has some bugs eg sometimes clicking send on an email doesn't work but they don't have error messages.
Great for account based outbound sales and automating outreach. Allows me to move a lot faster. Helps the team identify great techniques e.g. good email copy, great subject lines, number of phone calls to get a prospect on the phone. Also helps me blend in different touches like LinkedIn messages, connections etc.

My company utilizes Outreach by contacting potential clients in hopes of curating business relationships to work together. What's great about Outreach is that it does the thinking for the user and makes the receiver feel a human interaction, but in reality, it's an automated response. It's a great product for those who have a lot of connections, want to stay organized, and track/analyze their connections via email.
  • Easy to navigate through their website
  • The variety of different features they provide
  • Level of control
  • When sequencing or logging onto Outreach, the entire screen will pop up in this bright purple color and it kind of hurts my eyes
  • When sequencing, giving us the option to switch someone over to a different sequence easily
  • Allowing us to incorporate our own personalized signatures that include photos
I've only been using Outreach for a few months now due to my current position and it has definitely come in handy!
I never have to worry about forgetting to follow up with someone, finding emails, and tracking my emails. I especially like how we're able to see whether the recipient opened the email or not and how Outreach records that data.

My team uses Outreach for automated emails, mainly sales emails for follow ups and to peak interest from our prospects. I like many of the features as it allows our recipients to get emails from us and it looks like it is a natural email rather than a sequence or planned email.

Outreach is being used by our sales development teams across the globe. A few account executives have opted to use Outreach as well, instead of Yesware.

Outreach enables our sales development team to create tailored contact strategies to follow-up with outbound or inbound leads. The level of control and granularity in the options allows for a great way of configuring the solution. However, the many options can also hamper people that are just starting in the role or overwhelm people who are not that tech-savvy.
  • Great level of control to create your perfect touch campaign
  • Bi-directional sync with Salesforce.com to sync accounts/contacts/leads => saves SDRs a TON of time!
  • Very responsive support team
  • Too many options/menus/settings can confuse less experienced users.
  • Lots of issues if not set up properly.
  • Needs some setup time to get the sync with Salesforce.com off the ground.
Outreach is great for hardcore outbound teams. Analytics are very granular and you can measure anything! [It's] Less suited for account executives and customer success teams that want a more easy-to-use product.

The Publisher Sales team at my company is currently using Outreach. We use Outreach daily for not only client outreach but for organization of how we manage our contacts. Outreach has been a great product to use as you can easily manage contacts through Saleforce and create various templates for emails.
  • Detailed metrics for tracking individual success and team success
  • Catches duplicates and can link with certain CRMs
  • Great UI and easy to manage
  • Email alerts for certain tasks could be improved. The current setup sends one email bundled with all recent activity but it would be nice to change these settings for more detailed alerts.
  • Pausing sequences can get complicated for holidays or specific time frames. There can be errors where I cannot restart a paused sequence.
Outreach is great for lead reach out, sales teams, creating email templates for clients. Has great metrics to capture a team or individual's success with business development. I have seen various softwares but Outreach has created more success for us and we will continue to use them. To increase your pipeline of contacts and clients I would recommend Outreach.

Outreach is being used by the entire sales department and a few members of the marketing team. Outreach has been a great tool for keeping our email, phone calls, and customer profiles organized in a easy to use platform. I personally use it everyday to manage my daily tasks. This can range from email reminders to updating customer profiles for the team to view. The sequences are very helpful in volume follow-ups like conferences or webinars.
  • Task management
  • Sequences
  • SFDC connection
  • An easier way to add prospects to another step in a sequence
  • Removing a prospect from a sequence then adding them to another sequence without having to wait for 24 hrs
  • Recording calls
Outreach is very helpful in organizing my day when reaching out to prospects. With the task management, I can easily go through my leads that need to be followed up from a sequence whether that be through phone calls and/or emails. My emails are easily tracked and notify me if the prospect opened or clicked on the email. The ability to open just the taskbar while in SFDC makes multitasking a breeze.

Outreach is being leveraged by our SDR/BDR Team as well as being used across the Account Executive Team.
Outreach allows us to manage our email sends and gauge the effectiveness of our content by providing insight into the recipients interaction.
  • Outreach is great for email scheduling whether it's creating a cadence over a couple days or just setting a one off email to send at the most opportune time.
  • Outreach provides great analytics on the open rates and interaction of the recipient and our content.
  • Outreach tells you when to follow up by prioritizing the individuals with the most activity.
  • The platform can be a bit slow to react.
  • The UI is busy and takes a bit to become familiar with but its usability is worth the effort.
Outreach is an A+ Tool for a sales team who wants an easy to use and understand way to send emails in bulk and gain insights into how people are reacting to your content.
