My entire Inside Sales organization uses Outreach as a prospecting tool. It allows us to increase the quality and quantity of our prospecting touches in less overall time.
  • Outreach Voice - I've never had any technical issues with the phone quality or service. Local area codes increases pickup rates too.
  • Sequences - we run our entire business off of these and the flexibility and options here are awesome.
  • Reporting - I gain insights that allow me to strategically direct my team going forward to continuously improve productivity.
  • I'd like to see even more advanced reporting.
Very well-suited for reps who prospect and for high volume. It is less valuable if your reps only handle a handful of opportunities at any given time or if they don't do any prospecting.

We use Outreach for our BD, AE, and Success teams.

Primarily, we are using it for cold outreach sequences, and it's made a huge impact on our pipeline creation. We've easily tripled pipeline since implementing 4 months ago, and no other sales engagement platform comes close to the phenomenal visibility and control Outreach offers. Best in class Salesforce integrations, smart OOO auto-detection, and dynamic fields will revolutionize your inside sales game.

As a bonus, onboarding new hires is a cinch because the playbooks are ready to go. My newest hire booked a cold meeting on her first day.
  • Sequences - Organize all the steps you want to take and deploy from one workflow. LinkedIn, Calls, Texts, Emails, and Voicemails all from one platform.
  • Triggers - Automate the ridiculous busy work clogging up your salespeople's lives - I have a trigger that "reads" titles and puts them in the appropriate persona-based sequence. Magic.
  • SFDC bi-directional sync. Seriously better than anything I've seen. So good.
  • Still working out the kinks with LinkedIn Sales Navigator activities.
  • Triggers and Rulesets - powerful but tricky to master. Not for the faint of heart - you'll need someone who wants to embrace Outreach to harness its power.
I ran a team on SalesLoft - it was always crashing and basically the bane of my existence. No control or visibility into what was going on, inconsistent SFDC sync, and abysmal support.

I've used Yesware, ToutApp, InsideSales.com, Contactually... nothing comes close to Outreach.

I think I now bleed purple.

Outreach is used by our 2 AEs and 1 SDR. Outreach enables our reps to collaborate on templates for personas, set cadences, and improve our overall outbound process.
  • Outbound Email Sequences. Can create private or shared outbound sequences.
  • Tracking inbound and outbound emails in SFDC. This is a big one for us, I wanted a tool to autolog all emails between a rep and prospect without the rep having to do it manually.
  • Built in reporting
  • There is definitely some up front work with onboarding and implementation. Fortunately Outreach has a great online resource library to address any issues.
Outreach is great for any team that has their ideal target profile figured out. This should be used to send relevant, targeted messages to prospects.

Don't use this tool as a way to just email blast your entire lead database.

Outreach is used by the Sales Team (Account Executives, Sales Development Reps, and Product specialists) in both a pre and post sales capacity. It allows users to save time from a communication standpoint.
  • Multi-touch sequencing of sales activity
  • Integration with Salesforce
  • Nice dashboards and reporitng
  • Impressive release schedule
  • Inability to change the order of steps in a sequence if the sequence is active is difficult
Best suited for SDRs that are prospecting new business. Also good for AEs that are working opportunities in their funnel. Beneficial for post-sales engagement with customers. Could be better at tracking social activity and reporting within the tool. Currently, use mainly tasks to track social activity (LinkedIn connection requests).

Outreach is used primarily by our inbound and outbound business development reps. We use it on the outbound side to cold prospect into our targeted companies and on the inbound side to follow up on our marketing leads. Outreach allows us to manage a large volume of prospects and for both teams, while also allowing us access to great reporting functionality. With the tool, we can see exactly how our reps are performing at a very granular level.
  • Outreach integrates well with Domo, which allows us to put together comprehensive reports pulling data from both Salesforce and Outreach.
  • Outreach does a great job of supporting you, by offering a responsive CSM and support team to troubleshoot issues.
  • It doesn't take too much time to onboard new users in the basic functionality of the tool.
  • I would like to see better customization between global rules and team rules. When you manage more than one team in the tool, it can be hard to fine tune the permissions for each team. There are some global settings that I would like to move to the team settings instead to help with this.
  • I would like to see more customization options when it comes to building rulesets and triggers. The addition of time-based triggers would help us out a lot by moving prospects to a certain stage after a certain amount of inactivity.
Outreach works well for any prospecting sales organization. The ability to quickly put together and execute on specific sequences allows your reps to put out a high volume of targeted emails.

I've used the tool as well as a CSM at my last company. While there were features that were useful to me, like the Google Calendar integration, I didn't get the same utility as I would cold or warm prospecting leads as a BDS rep.

From day one, Outreach has been an integral tool that helps me manage my workflow on a day-to-day basis. It structures my tasks and helps to avoid starting friction involved with prospecting as I reach out to potential clients throughout my region. It provides a great way to track details of individual points of communication and any other information found on accounts/prospects.
  • Calls - VOIP works well and reduces the amount of time I spend on tracking calls and moving on to the next call.
  • Ease of use - everything is pretty intuitive. The information is there at your fingertips and if you can't figure something out, there are tutorials to walk you to where you need to go.
  • My daily sales stack requires the structure Outreach provides. Couldn't be as effective without it!
  • I'd like to see data better organized from an account level. When I'm speaking to an individual, I find it useful to see what kind of activity has been completed on a higher, account level, so that I can reference that in the conversation.
I think Outreach is great for every situation where someone is trying to prospect clients. It allows for a large net to be thrown over a large area, but also gives you the ability to customize in a way that feels genuine. When you're trying to get in front of people, no matter how many touches you're shooting for, Outreach can manage your workflow.

Outreach is an easy to use tool that allows account execs to touch multiple accounts quickly and actually tracks activity on sales campaigns.
  • High email volume deliverability
  • Easy targeted campaigns and templates
  • Prospecting made simple
  • Creating bulk sequences, prospects, and tags
  • Sharing prospect information company wide or between account managers
I use Outreach daily in order to keep my pipeline clean and ensure that there is always activity going out to my prospects. In addition, there are helpful notifications for where I should focus my time (tasks, scheduling events, calls, etc). The most time consuming part is actually importing the contact/prospect information that you need, but once that is completed the process is very easy. I also love the email integration to use for quick templates, sequences, and snippets.

Outreach started in our Business Development Team, then the Sales Team and has now also rolled out to our Customer Success Team. It helps us manage our accounts and develop a strategic plan for prospecting. It is also great to have a more user-friendly place to take notes than Salesforce.
  • Organize daily tasks, calls and email
  • Prioritize your day around responsive prospects
  • Ability to create tasks from outbox
  • Color coded activities
  • Ability to designate and track top 10 accounts
It is great for teams that need a centralized way to organize prospecting.

We use Outreach as the main platform for our Sales Development Reps. At least 90% of the company is exclusively in Outreach and the only ones that remain in Salesforce are those that are full cycle sales execs or there are client requirements. It solves a lot of business issues, among them are the issues with reps wasting time sending emails, researching, planning out their day, losing prospects to the funnel due to poor follow up, email tracking, A/B testing etc. The list goes on and on.
  • Automating emails and using mail merge field to make custom emails
  • A/B Testing
  • Saving time by providing all the necessary data in one spot
  • Process Automation
  • Integration with Salesforce on the Account level could use some refinement
  • The Dialer is not the best but it isn't required.
Outreach is amazing for the SDR role in my experience and it needs an additional CRM at the moment if you work as an Account Exec handling the prospect to the close. It should not be used as a marketing automation alternative.

Outreach is being used primarily by sales development and account executives. Giving the ability to assign tasks and store templates, the tool alleviates the need for constantly referring back to other shared storage spaces which saves many clicks.
  • Ease of use
  • Can be easily integrated across platforms
  • Streamlines the process of prospecting
  • Issues with opting prospects out of emails even if being imported for the first time
  • Sequence/template clean-up could be simpler
  • Issues with VOIP are more frequent than desired
Outreach is well suited for lead-gen teams and sales development teams that are sending a lot of template emails. The functionality will give you the opportunity to stay on track and not let a lead "slip through the cracks".

Outreach is being used by our organization in prospecting for new business as well as to work with current customers and get them to events or do more regular follow ups that would be very hard to find time for without this great tool for customized automation. It enables me to put together as many different types of templated conversations, set someone in them and forget, until the next follow up is due for them. So they never actually get forgotten, but my mind is free to get out and do a whole lot more good.
  • Easy to import into Outreach
  • Easy to build out sequences to use for repeated outreach
  • Easy to set tasks with individuals, very customized
  • When you import new contacts into Outreach, it would be nice if it allowed you to easily upload these into Salesforce, which it says it can do, but I've never found it to work right
  • Would be nice if you could modify the tasks orders in a sequence even after you've put contacts into it
Awesome for reaching out to 100's of people across dozens of companies all at once. Awesome for making sure that all of the warm pipeline you have that needs next steps tasks, can all be easily set and called on all within this one platform. GREAT if you are using Salesforce.

I found that outreach was a terrific tool to automate the sales process of reaching out and increase the production of the members of the sales team. With the sequences within outreach, you are able to completely streamline activities so nothing goes by the wayside. I recommend for anybody interested in trying to increase the efficiency of the business and sales team.
  • Creating an automated outreach path
  • Create different personas
  • Lets you automatically send emails
  • House templates
  • Google Chrome extension needs significant improvement
  • Can't always see when someone see's your email
  • Take back some restrictions within sequences
Outreach is suited for someone that works in an organization where the marketing team does not contribute much to your lead generation efforts. Outreach gives you the ability to add prospects that you have found and push out dozens of materials. A sales person that isn't doing a lot of outreach would not need the tool.

Outreach is being used by the customer success department at Asana for all customer email outreach whether scheduled or manual.
  • Support is great.
  • Blockers put in place to reduce customer frustration with emails such as - unsubscribed, recent touchpoints or repeated touchpoints.
  • UI is a little confusing, I definitely struggled with on-boarding.
  • Sharing and collaborating with your team feels like it should be easier.
  • I feel like there are hidden features that I wish were better explained in the product - ex: snippets.
  • Having to log everyone as prospects first and then sending emails feels tedious - why can't I send an email to a list of email addresses?
Well suited: Scheduling multiple follow up emails, scheduling emails in the future, bulk emails, templates
Not suited: Our use case is pretty straightforward, I don't think we are pushing the limits of the tool in a way that it isn't suited for

Outreach is used by multiple departments at this organization, everyone takes part in sales someway or another so having a tool that can manage communication with clients and prospects is essential. Outreach allows multiple departments to manage their communication efforts to clients and prospective clients.
  • Outreach is excellent at organizing my pipeline communication, in a few clicks I can see a simple overview of my call/email campaign with specific prospects.
  • Outreach does a great job of managing the communication with my prospects, it gives me great insight into how my emails are received on the other end, as well as the ability to add notes onto a call. Takes away the pain of having to review for 10 minutes before every call, review time can be cut down to 30 seconds.
  • From an engineering standpoint, Outreach seems to be easily customized to my team's certain campaign desires. The A/B test feature is also awesome, allows for a quick glance at the success of specific campaigns against each other!
  • The learning curve to Outreach can be difficult unless a team has an Outreach guru some features often go unnoticed.
  • Occasionally calls will drop and recordings are not found, but this happens few times day to day.
  • When campaigns are heavily customized some of the more simple features of Outreach tend to experience issues, for instance when a prospect was marked finished in a sequence, the next day they still received another email or I was tasked to call them once more.
For the number of prospects, I am required to target to increase my success rate, Outreach is an awesome tool that allows me to easily manage a pipeline of 250 targeted touches a week. While email campaigns are extremely customizable, true organic email communication is still best in a separate email client where you have full control over the message.

Only in the sales organization, and helps out sales staff track and engage clients. It helps our sales staff keep track of the client sales process and creates a unified way to approach our sales strategy.
  • Email tracking
  • Creating a uniform process to the sales process
  • Gives measurable statistics for the individual user all the way up to the C-Level Suite.
  • Sequences can be tedious and easy to mess up if adjustments aren't thought through.
  • I wish there was a pipeline integration to outreach
  • At times Outreach can have latency issues
In sales, its a must have tool. Without it, you cannot track email opens, potential client engagement, and strategically approach the sales process. Sequencing a CEO or VP allows you to tailor your email follow up as they open and view each email. Catching someone while they are on their computer is very important.

Outreach is currently used by every member of our global sales organization. From BDRs to Sales execs. It allows us to be a lot more productive as every day when we come in it tells us what tasks we have to achieve.
  • Organise prospects in tiered levels (CEO down to marketing exec)
  • Organises your day efficiently
  • Allows you to plan for the week ahead
  • It is quite slow at times.
  • It sends out emails in different fonts.
Appropriate: when you have a ton of outbound to do it allows you to be super productive
Not appropriate: When you are speaking to prospects once they have engaged in conversation

- For e-mail prospecting
- Helps to organize our daily outreaches to prospects
  • Create different sequences, Use of snippets + share best practices between colleagues based on what others use and what is successful
  • Analytics (views + clicks)
  • E-mail integration (gmail)
  • Calendar integration (possibility for tasks to pop up in google calendar)
  • Flexibility in the workflow (more manageable overview of tasks,)
  • Auto-populate when capturing profile from Linkedin (lose so much time with manually typing in info)
  • More variation on manual task (choose specific categories: LI e-mail // LI- FUP // webinar invite // phone call // ...)
Great for tracking the behavior of prospects, crucial to our success as DRs. Flexibility & efficiency thanks to gmail integration. Scale best practices (sequences, snippets, templates,..).

Outreach is a great asset for our SDR team but not really that useful for the Accounts team because it keeps assigning emails to the wrong deals. The logic for assigning communications to deals is the same as what you get with bcc to Salesforce so there's not much value there.
  • Lining up a cadence of emails
  • Organizing call behavior in support of emails
  • Improving logic for assigning sent emails to deals
  • Better ability to work with LinkedIn
Great for managing SDRs and outbound prospecting. Not really as good as Yesware for day-to-day selling to accounts where you are engaged in a sales cycle.

Outreach is being used by our sales development team and sales team to do outreach on a larger scale and to align and track analytics for our managers to see and evaluate activities.
  • Email tracking
  • Organising the pipeline, see where your prospects are in the stage
  • Mass outreach, but with possibilities to personalize the messages
  • Email finder functionality, automatically find email adresses to the prospect
  • Automatically give alerts when person has visited our website to looked up information....similar to the Engagio tool
If you have a large CRM list that you would reach out to with a similar message you can easily create sequences to send them multiple messages in a specific time frame. Additionally, you can track replies, openings and much more. It is a huge time saver in your day to day work.

I'm not 100% sure if it's used by other departments, but I'm pretty sure Outreach is only used by our sales team. It allows us to keep track of our leads and prospects by creating tasks to follow up, sequence templates to assign, and overall reports/stats on our messages. On a high level, it saves us a lot of time in regards to organizing and keeping accountable with our prospects - instead of manually doing everything, Outreach helps us to track and follow up. We also use Outreach via mobile to call others, so instead of having a separate phone, we can use ours with a different number.
  • Following up tasks - instead of manually tracking everything, we can create follow up sequences and make sure we're consistently checking in our leads.
  • Sequence templates - useful to create more personalized sequence messages that can be used for multiple prospects directly.
  • Syncing with Salesforce - automatically updating lead statuses & info so we don't have to do them manually & separately each time.
  • So slow - Outreach (especially as of late) has been extremely slow and laggy. Takes forever to put leads into sequences or update.
  • Calling - been multiple glitches when I try to call someone, and OR hangs up the phone by itself.
  • Salesforce sync - glad it does that, but there's a lot of times when I still have to manually input things, even after change it on Outreach.
Outreach has definitely been helpful in terms of saving time and reducing manual work. However, I'm in the middle because I'm wondering if there are other sales platforms that allow for better outreach that are less laggy and buggy. I would let my colleague know that while Outreach has been useful for following up/creating templates/sequencing leads, they might want to search to see if there's another platform that could do the same without the lags/bugs.

We use Outreach predominantly to make phone calls for the sales department. We make calls to 100+ countries and it allows us to use local numbers to make calls without being seen as a predatory sales call. It allows us to streamline our sales pipeline and us to effectively carry out through our daily tasks. It has a great system for organizing lead and contact information which makes the salesperson's job easy to manage. We use Outreach with around 60 people within our organization and Outreach's template and sequence functions allow the well-performing sequences to circulate around the organization for everyone to benefit from. When I first began at the company, I didn't have a much prior experience in the sector, therefore reading others' templates allowed me to significantly improve my fundamental knowledge in sales. Outreach is a great tool for managing your sales and customer relations, I would recommend it to all my colleagues across different sectors.
  • Sequences and templates, it has various variables that can be used to insert customer info inside of a message template
  • Dialing with local country codes, it allows a salesperson to appear like a local folk to the customer
  • Task generation, it always keeps you on par by informing to contact a lead at the right time.
  • Interface is too colorful and difficult to navigate
  • Allowing to create graphs using custom metrics would be nice
  • Ability to integrate with tools from the outside would be highly useful
Outreach is great to call leads but not necessarily to manage day to day interactions with customers. I would prefer to use a different tool simply because the dashboards to view the leads are not simple to manage and I believe that if there was the ability to move leads around efficiently it would be helpful.

The sales and market development teams use Outreach. It allows these teams to be more strategic with their prospecting and operational workflows. It holds AEs and MDRs accountable for the strategic approach implemented by our institution.
  • A/B Testing. Our previous tool didn't allow for that.
  • Managing handoffs from Market Dev to sales. Outreach allows for a smooth handoff.
  • Clean UI, other tools we used in the past had similar features but were not designed in a usable fashion. It is clear Outreach cares about UX.
  • Reporting is the biggest need for improvement. Data is power and I would like to have more insight into how each campaign is going. More data on teams, tags, etc.
  • Sometimes Outreach gets unsynced from Gmail. It seems to happen less now but for a while there it was a friction point for our Org.
  • Have a more seemless way of adding content assets. Sometimes snippets are hard to use. It turns collateral to attachments frequently rather than embedding it in an email.
It is well suited for any market development rep or account executive who needs to build their book of business. It is less suited for sales reps who don't prospect. For them, I would recommend more of an asset management/suggestion tool.

We use Outreach to make calls and sequence prospects. It is also used by our marketing research team to gather prospects. I also use it to keep track of tasks and queues. I like the fact that it can make calls to almost every country and the fact that you can use local numbers.
  • Local numbers for international calling
  • Robust reporting and analytics
  • Simple interface
  • Sequences and sequence steps need to be more flexible
  • Call quality is not the best
  • Too much purple visually
You need to call say an Australian number. If you call using a local (your) number chances are they won't pick up but Outreach gives you the ability to generate a random Australian number making it easier to get through to prospects. However, calls tend to disconnect frequently and this should be fixed.

Outreach is being used by our entire sales operation. It helps my team with email and task automation so we can get more done in less time. I also helps with collaboration between users for different sequences that might be working better then others. Additionally, we are using the calendar tool and it has been very helpful.
  • Automation
  • Personalization
  • Flexibility
  • Time Management
  • Opts people out of email automatically if a duplicate email is input
  • Reports aren't overly user-friendly
  • There could be more things that are customizable
If you're going for scale with personalization, Outreach is the tool for you. If all you're going for is scale, you could use any tool for this. I love the custom fields that you can change for each prospect you're reaching out to. It allows us to be more customer centric with our emails.
