Pantheon is excellent for medium-large websites that require high availability and a managed workflow. It would be inappropriate for small websites because of the cost or for situations where more control of the environment is appropriate. We find it useful because we rarely do anything outside of the Drupal application.

It work well if you want to forget about the hosting and the infrastructure and simply focus in producing content in your wordpress/drupal site. If you want to have more control in the files, webserver, etc it will not work for you. It is a great option if you are currently using hostings such as acquia or wpengine and are looking for alternatives.

Well-suited: Below are the criteria that you should consider if you want to check whether you should jump into Pantheon. if you're firm whose primary focus is not web development you're most business is centered around SEO, where implementation of idea take precedence. if you want to focus on content of website or posts of your blog you dont want to manage the tideos task of DevOps engineer to deploy and maintain your website. Less Appropriate: below if you're primarily a development firm need custom solution with extra control on resources.

Pantheon is a suitable option for agencies and starts when developing a website/PWA.
You can designate different levels of access via the pantheon system, and it has automated backups which are beneficial.

If you are creating revisions of a staging site and have team members who need to carry out different tasks (design, development, testing etc), they can operate independently and be on the same page (figuratively speaking), which is a time saver.

I suggested when you do have a final live site and it's bringing in traffic, do not use Pantheon shared hosting, it's weak and expensive relative to other providers. Either move to a dedicated plan or a different platform.

Speed, security, and ease of use are the biggest reasons. I never have to worry about regular updates causing site issues. I apply updates in the Dev environment, test them with the latest database in the Test environment, and then deploy them to the Live environment. Daily automated backups of all three environments are easily restored.

Pantheon is great for websites and Lando automation will make websites development easy for you through the automation of projects. As I've said before, it is very suitable for generating user reports in simple PDF reports and XML for the financial reports. It's also flexible with Dev compliance and runs cloud-scheduled updates seamlessly.

Pantheon is great if you are a small or midsize website (in terms of web traffic), especially if you are in a niche area subject to a great deal of hacking as their security is quite strong, and cannot afford any downtime. They also provide great customer service, so if you are just getting started, they will be great at walking you through what is what, why it's important, and get you on a path to success.
