Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

This is a professional marketer who had to study the system deeply and learn how it works. It can take months to learn it. We used a Pardot implementor to do this process along with someone who helped us throughout

I wasn't here when we implemented but it seems in terms of regular maintenance there is very little required, it's pretty straightforward to use and the support team is great if you have questions or run into any roadblocks. We use it for in-app messaging so I assume that when we first set it up we needed someone with technical knowledge to set up the integration. I did set it up for our marketing site when we used that, and it was really easy - probably only took about 3 minutes total.

Pardot - It works!

Supporting Pardot requires a mix of marketing and technical skills. Support needs to have a thorough understanding of online marketing - HTML coding experience is an asset. Support should know Salesforce.com (creating fields, formulas, workflows + process builder, understanding profiles and data access) and how the connector works if Pardot is connected to Salesforce. Support should also have a solid grasp of how Pardot works. I would highly recommend the advanced Pardot certification.

Sales support is responsible for making sure LinkedIn social connectors are working and in place for each of our account executives. They are also responsible for creating automation rules and monitoring lead queues. The marketing manager is responsible for creating email templates and deploying various email marketing campaigns. The third party vendor social media expert is responsible for adding various social campaigns to the marketing calendar and launching any press releases via email.

We have two part-time people supporting the product. The marketing team has a go-to person on how to set up forms and generate emails and I support the product in terms of its interface with SalesForce and in generating lists. The person who works the interface with your CRM needs a strong background in both Pardot and your CRM to insure your fields remain in synch.. The marketing person along with their marketing skills needs to have astrong grasp of Pardot itself

It is probably myself (mainly) + between 1 or 2 people (collectively) that help other less advanced users in the broader team, which is why I answered 2 people. The main skill is enthusiasm :) for software platforms, and, of course, to be 'converted' on the subject of marketing automation. Generally technical savvy people, although, the system is user friendly and less technical people get their way around easily, I hear.

One IT for the beacon, and primarily one person, a customer service person, that has become the product knowledge point for segmenting and user messaging. She's not a technical person, but she's very good at web related use and picked up the adoption of Evergage rather quickly.

Knowledge of ExactTarget by the marketing group is necessary for use of the tool. IT assistance, specifically web developers, as also used as support for the tool for HTML coding logic. Graphic designers create our email heading images that are visually appealing, with text behind the images, should the recipient only have text based email or their company's spam filter block images.

Administration of Pardot really only requires one individual although our team has split the load into two sections. One individual is in charge of the sales applications of the product while the other oversees the marketing processes.
