We have been using Paycor for over 5 years. The customer service has gone from great too horrible in that time frame. Paycor has went from a great product to a product that breaks all the time. Paycor does not notify their customers when problems occur. When you notify them, it is apology after apology with no communication from them after the initial call.

Mainly use it as payroll tool/time tracking and recruiting. Want to do more with it but takes time to get things set up and you don’t provide the same type of support that you give when we first onboarded with the Paycor product, so it is hard to find the time to weed through and find all of the how-to’s to set things up - like onboarding new employees, after 2 years, I’m still hiring people manually.
  • Ease of use
  • Constantly trying to update the product
  • HR support module is very nice.
  • Trying to find how-to’s within its resource area is not intuitive at all. If you type “how to set up….. anything”, I never get the right answer the first time I go looking for the answer. 9.9% of the time I end up calling the help desk. There should be a simple “how-to’s” section that I can drill into, to find my answer.
  • Report building is still cumbersome. Running a simple report like list all my full time, part time employees by their title and then by salary, so I can verify that all my people are in the correct pay band, is still not easy to run. If it is available, then, I haven’t learned how to get that out of the system. Sometimes the simplest ask is the hardest to find the answer to.
  • I wish how they charged us was different. Just seems like we are being “nickeled and dimed” for every little thing. There are some functionalities that I would like but because 3/4 of the staff have to do things one way, it’s not cost effective for the other 1/4 to be able to use a section, like performance management, when we are going to be charged by the total number of active employees - rather than total number of active employees in this department…. Therefore we are not using some of your products that would be very helpful and needed by 1/4th of our organization.
It is very easy to use Paycor’s time and attendance product. Doing payroll went from an all day task (reviewing and manually tabulating time cards and then entering the information into a system) to a task that takes an hour, if that. All of the previous questions that I would have to go back and ask managers are flagged to the managers and addressed by them before the file ever gets to me. So, there is no more waiting on a manager to get back to me and thus holding up the whole payroll from being submitted.

The system is easy to use and understand. I would appreciate more “how to” type documents to drill into rather than having to call the help desk. However, I have nothing but good things to say about the help desk - they are very knowledgeable and if they don’t know the answer, they escalate it to someone who can.

Mostly used for Payroll and PTO tracking. I am the only administrator, and I find it easy to use. I especially like the PTO tracking so that the employees can both request time off and see their current balances.

We use Paycor for all HR and Payroll needs. With 900 plus employees we rely in the system to accurately record and pay those employees. It houses all of our employees information and allows us to see any information with just a few clicks. Also allows our company to utilize workflows and other products to help our managers with their jobs

We have a fairly basic pay structure as most of our employees are a salary type position. The payroll allows us to still manage who and what is being paid and allows us to be hands on with any changes we need to make. If employers have a more complexed pay structure it might be more complicated in the set up process or the pay to make sure everything is done correctly.

We use Paycor for scheduling and Payroll services. We are a medium sized veterinary practice with multiple departments, so scheduling can be diffiult. Paycor allows us to schedule by department as well as by the entire organization. Utilizing Paycor allowed for much more organization on scheduling for both management and employees. Employees can request and view their time off, their schedule, and their hours clearly as well as view their team's schedule as needed. Management can easily access and manage all time off and scheduling.

Having scheduling and Payroll rolled into one system has made both things much more efficient. Time sheets are easily managed and matched to the employee's schedule to ensure eveyrthing is accurate. Both scheduling and Payroll are much easier and efficient.
  • Scheduling for management is well organized and easily visualized to ensure proper coverage while avoiding overtime or being over staffed.
  • Scheduling for the employees is user friendly. Employees can easily request and view their time off. They can also view their schedule along with their team's at any time.
  • Payroll is very streamlined. With scheduling and Payroll in the same system, everything can be quickly verified for accuracy. All time sheets are kept within the system and then easily processed for Payroll.
  • Some of the reporting can be difficult to navigate.
  • Time off remaining for employees can be a bit confusing in the beginning. The way Paycor calculates time off remaining, it deducts any approved upcoming time off, which can be misleading for employees trying to determine how much time they truly have remaining in the moment.
Paycor is well suited for a business that it looking for one program that can handle scheduling and Payroll all in one. It does have capability to monitor employee progress, reviews, tasks, etc. We have not been able to get this functionality implemented will at our business as of yet. It would be well suited for a medium to large size organization. Depending on the structure of the organization, it may be more than what a smaller business with only a few employees would need.

We used Paycor for our HR and Payroll module. Our goal was to go paperless as much as possible. It did allow us to move to a more paperless system. From my experience, the main problems were the inability for the system to communicate effectively from module to the other.In my opinion,the system was also very slow on payroll weeks which was troublesome.

Paycor needs to evaluate its system and because it purchased systems from other entities, it needs someone to evaluate how they connect and communicate with one another. There is an obvious disconnect and it causes the system to run extremely slow. The reports are also not accurate either and this module needs rebuilt.

We use Paycor to manager our HR needs. Paycor helps with onboarding, time management and payroll. The combination of time keeping linked with payroll saves us a tremendous amount of time.
  • Use of the timekeeping module allows for accurate accounting of hours

  • Having all the HR in one database is helpful for managing our employees
  • Still getting used to the system but I would like to see more customization in the report building module.

Paycor is alleviating many of the time-consuming tasks that we have with both the onboarding process as well as payroll. The ability of employees to access information through the mobile app has cut down on the number of questions directed at HR.

A lot of times I have to go through loops and bounds and LONG hold times before my issue is addressed. As HR my time is "money" and I do not have the bandwidth to be on with Paycor for 30 mins to an hour to get something resolved

We use Paycor as our sole HRIS for payroll, schedules, performance reviews, training and recruitment. We recently upgraded to the better versions of these programs, which includes seamless full cycle recruitment and onbaording new employees. The scheduling program has been great for tracking attendance and has helped with correcting missed punches.

I'm the corporate recruiter for all positions within the company. I have used most sections of Paycor, and use Paycor Recruiting everyday. Paycor is our HRIS and payroll. We are doing our best to make it a complete solution for our business. Although I feel there could be some improvement in cross section or overall integration.

We utilize onboarding, open enrollment of benefits, virtual punching, time off requests, reporting & payroll/taxes W-2s, 1099's, uploading employee documents, certifications, licenses, labor allocations, and wage garnishment service. Pay independent contractors in a separate pay run. Set up reminders and notifications for employees and managers. And Paycor is user-friendly has a mobile app employees like & will use. Lastly, I can post company news and updates.

I use Paycor for all three organizations and run Time & Attendance and Payroll. The program is user friendly and I am enjoying all the updated features on a monthly basis. This is making it easier instead of calling Customer service directly.

We use Paycor on a daily basis for HR, Onboarding, Scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll. Paycor continues to hear our requests and develop new improvements to continue to improve with the client and its users. Paycor has so many functions that work together to bring all needs into one platform. Their customer support is amazing they have live chat via phone, live text, and a ticketing system at your service.

Paycor is our HRIS system. If you are referring to ways that Paycor tools have helped our organization, I can say that tools that I am excited about will be your AI assistance with job descriptions and the availability of using AI to help bring forward solid candidates.

The main focus was to schedule the campaign agents into their work times. There was also a payment-related use, but that's not in my scope of knowledge. However, I was told that it worked great for the payroll staff. As for my daily use, Paycor has been a wonder in managing my workforce.

In my own experience, the specific data that you see in the software is a great aid in managing your workforce and evaluating performance. It is straightforward to understand how to use it; I'm sure that after 2 to 3 weeks, most people won't have any trouble using it, but I don't want to sound biased since my knowledge only takes me so far into some of it the software capabilities. The user interface can be dull at times, but it's a minor, aesthetic issue, in my opinion.

We utilize Paycor for centralized payroll, time off requests, benefits administration and recruiting. Paycor has provided a streamlined approach to many HR process to increase efficiency and accuracy of the department.

Paycor has provided one platform to house time off, payroll, performance management and more. The platform is easy for new users to navigate and for administrators to utilize. Overall, the system has increased our efficiency and accuracy in HR.

Paycor is our primary HRIS and payroll
software. We use most of the modules except for Performance management, scheduling and Learning Management System. Used for applicant tracking system: give Paycor high marks for this. I have used the Paycor onboarding in the past at previous companies, main issue is that if an employee is hired in error there is no way to delete that new hire. Have to term them which skews reporting data. Have used performance management at prior companies and had no issues.

I like the Paycor software. Customer service needs work. There is high turnover and frequently I will get a “no we can’t do that” “or I’ll research and get back to you” and then no one gets back to me. That is extremely frustrating. Luckily, I have worked with Paycor for years and have some connections with staff who have been there a long time that I can call upon them for support if needed.

We use Paycors recruiting platform at Insco to recruit then seamlessly move candidates to onboarding. The recruiting platform also allows us to communicate with candidates and hiring managers. Allows us to send links to start background checks and schedule drug screens and physicals. We process Payroll and manage time and attendance. We monitor Benefits and PTO. Reporting is essential as we monitor several aspects of HR audits and processes.

The system is easy to navigate if you have no experience with Paycor but experience with any HRIS.
Calls into the customer service number is not easy or at times may take up to 45 minutes to get through.

  • Easy to navigate, we came from Paycom and Paycor’s ease of use is superior to Paycom
  • 1:1 templates and overall employee performance management makes my life easier
  • HR loves this tool where as we heard constant complaints before
  • In the recruiting module I feel the layout could improve, time sink that you have to click around so much to get from one document to the next
  • Recruiting area is cumbersome and requires a lot of time for the user where other areas do not in my opinion
Paycor is a vast tool that does a lot. I feel we have been slow adopters but each time a new feature rolls out it helps our management and leaders be more effective and efficient.
