I use paycor for reviews, recognitions and timesheets. In my opinion, I do not find the reviews portion to be user friendly. Offers too much a delivers nothing.
  • Not fixing issues
  • Taking the hire date and automatically linking it to recurring quarterly and annual reviews
  • Making the review section more user friendly. If it’s a review leave that separate from a 1on1.
  • Timesheets is CONSTANTLY timing out on our employees making it look like they haven’t clocked time.

We use Paycor as our complete HRIS in addition to payroll, employee surveys, and recruiting.
  • It provides a one stop shop for the employee experience from application to hire.
  • Paycor seems to be a bit behind in terms of technical aptitude. Their performance management section is very clunky.
In my experience, there are often crashes of the platform which cause inconvenience for me as a team of one. When it’s working, it houses many of our needs in one place and manages our benefits portal.

We were looking for an all inclusive platform that can house all of our employee data sources, from onboarding to off boarding.

We use modules including performance reviews, time, payroll, benefits, ACA, FMLA, recruitment, talent and development. As we transition from another HRIS, there were significant improvements in items like ACA, FMLA, Payroll, Recruitment, and performance reviews. Time cards have some positives and some negatives that we hope to see improved. There is also a bit more of a lag time in reporting than expected. That is also in the process of being upgraded and the new Report Builder option looks promising.

I would like to see improvement in the dashboard as well to have more "shortcuts" available linking the modules to the first page.

  • ACA - the ACA support was phenomenal. It was SO easy.
  • Payroll - Easy to use and easy to edit.
  • Performance Reviews - Customizable and has some AI features incorporated
  • Benefits - User Friendly with so many options for administrative reports.
  • Recruiting - intuitive design, easy to read and get a snapshot of information. Can add non-manager to review applications which is very helpful when team interviewing.
  • Reporting - The reporting is slow and cumbersome. There have been improvements in their new reporting platform and it looks promising. We are patiently waiting for the new platform to be out of Beta testing because it seems to work much better.
  • Timesheet - there is lag time from clock in widget on the homepage to timesheets. Our employees log into their computer to clock in. The clocking in/out works, but the lag time for the timesheet to update does not inspire confidence in our employees.
  • The homepage needs more shortcuts to the different modules. There should be a shortcut to the benefits page and talent and development page. It would be valuable to allow admins to customize the homepage as well.
Implementation was above average but not spectacular, we felt well informed but at times modules of implementation overlapped and that caused frustration. Due to open enrollment, benefit implementation was behind our company's schedule.

Any HRIS implementation is hard, but we felt supported throughout the process. My recommendation rating would be higher if reporting was improved and timesheet improvements were made.

We use Paycor from recruiting to termination including: Recruiting, Payroll, Benefit Administration, and Performance. We have had issues with support and communication but are currently implementing their advanced support features in the next month and this will help to mitigate many of the issues we are currently facing with support.

The only feature that our company does not use from Paycor is their scheduling feature, because we do not require it for our business model. We have implemented a paperless onboarding process and a paperless benefit enrollment in the last year utilizing Paycor. Many of our new team members are happy with the ease of the onboarding process with Paycor.

We are a non-profit, highly regulated organization that utilizes detailed reports to get reimbursement from various funders. We are able to track time and obtain labor allocation reports that allows us to get full reimbursement. We are highly regulated and the onboarding tool and certification tracking has allowed us to maintain compliance. The applicant tracking system has helped us reach out to great candidates and easily track the pre-employment process for new hires.

  • We are highly regulated and need performance review templates for each position at our organization. While we were able to make this happen, the process was a bit cumbersome.
Our old company was going out of the payroll business so we only had 2 months to move to a new system. Paycor made sure we were able to make that happen. The implementation team was incredible and we were able to build a customized system that met our needs. The ATS has brought in a higher level of candidates and has made the pre-employment process tracking much easier. We are able to build reports and track time to meet the requirements of our different funders. Employees are very happy with how user friendly Paycor is as well as the management team. Paycor has helped us communicate more timely and effectively with staff.

Paycor is mostly easily used for the employee and admin. However I think reporting function is lacking and it is very difficult to narrow down to specific information. In addition we recently added Expense Management but the installation was awful! We still have problems and cannot use it and from my experience I do not get response from the installer

I was a company administrator and user of Paycor, all products at this time other than new Sourcing and their performance management. They have a very streamlined and user friendly platform. Customer service has gotten better and they are quick to help out when needed. I love their support system. The LMS system, well, not so much, but I might need to be able to utilize as it was purposed. Just can't find anyone that has been able to help me out yet. Implementation was super easy breezy and the sales team was amazing. Other than LMS, Paycor has really helped streamline many of our processes, they are administrator and user friendly and I would highly recommend them!

We needed an all-in one system that could handle employee engagement as well as other traditional HR functions (payroll, ben admin, scheduling, etc.). We were previously using a payroll vendor that did not offer ben admin, time keeping, performance, engagement, etc. so everything was done in separate systems and spreadsheets. Getting Paycor allowed our team to have a 1 stop shop for all things people related. It has helped our employees stay engaged with their performance and their peers through the Perform feature and has allowed our HR team to save time because we don't have to switch between systems and doing manual calculations.

Paycor is very easy to use and functional. I was not expecting it to be so robust based on the reasonable pricing in comparison to other HRISs. Our employees also enjoy using it. Paycor has made it very easy for payroll to be processed quickly. It functions well with the time tracking/scheduling system and syncs automatically. They are continuing to add new features (such as expense management) that have continued to save our team time when processing payroll. The only issue we have every come across is with the schedule API. We have set up an API for our schedule through Paycor and our phone system for our sales team to be "available" to take calls based on when they are scheduled through Paycor. This has had syncing issues a few times but Paycor is quick to resolve the issue, just frustrating when the integration breaks and we have to do the process manual until the fix is implemented. Paycor was not really purchased to address that specific need though so it was not a deal breaker for us that the integration might not be the perfect solution.

We use Paycor to ensure accurate time punches and scheduling for all of our employees. Paycor has helped us simplify and streamline our payroll process. The user interface is easy to use and understand for all our employees, making errors fewer and further in between. It also makes it easier for management to identify and address any attendance issues.

Paycor is an amazing tool for keeping track of attendance, it has helped us gain more accuracy on time punches and address issues as they occur. We have seen a dramatic decrease in time punch errors and because they are stored it makes it easier for management to keep an accurate record for possible disciplinary action.

We use Paycor for our US payroll, Benefits Advisor, Paycor Recruiting, Talent Management, and most recently Compensation Planning Tool. The Comp planning tool helped us eliminate manual spreadsheets and duplicate input; also allows for manager input. Paycor Recruiting allows us to feed applicant information directly to payroll upon hire eliminating duplication. The Benefit Advisory module interacts with our benefit carrier and eases the open enrollment process. Talent Management keeps all 1:1, career planning, and disciplinary actions captured in the system in one place.

We utilize Paycor as a full HRIS suite for onboarding, time and attendance, payroll, employee management, benefits administration, and reporting. I use Paycor daily in my role where I develop and maintain our Admin P&P and training as well as manage and train our office managers at our locations. Paycor payroll is pretty good. But, in my opinion, many of the products cannot be customized to our needs (such as being able to make some fields required as part of onboarding). From this experience, we also feel like we are having a lot of headaches as some settings have to be changed per client ID/entity. This means if we decide to update a setting (or if Paycor adds a new setting that has to be configured in order for the platform to work correctly), we have to dedicate a resource to make this change in 20+ client IDs. In our experience, we have also had a terrible time with our onboarding with Paycor and many of our original setup was done incorrectly. We have requested many times for Paycor to do an audit of all of our settings to make sure they are the same across all client IDs and they have not been able to dedicate this resource for us.

In my opinion, support at Paycor is embarrassingly bad. Several times in my experience, I have called support and been passed back and forth between payroll and time and attendance support while they try to decide which department can help. In my opinion, tickets feel like they are regularly open for several months with very little movement or communication. In our experience, we have to have weekly calls with our CSM to get updates on tickets and push tickets to completion. I believe in situations like this, the client has to drive all communication with support. I believe most support staff just direct you back to the support center even if you have already reviewed it instead of assisting with the issue. I believe it is also very difficult to customize user access. After spending a lot of time customizing our access, we, now, in our experience, have support sometimes update the user access without the approval of an admin. When we push Paycor on this issue, I believe they said it was a one-off issue with a support agent who no longer works there. However, this has occurred 3 times in less than a year during our experience with them.

We LOVE Paycor at CSP! It is extremely organized on the home dashboard. You can see exactly where candidates are in the process and the email function embedded within the platform is out of this world helpful! Paycor is so organized and is extremely pleasing to the eye. As someone who likes a quick snapshot of all our open positions, Paycor follows through with exactly where we are at.

Paycor is awesome for higher education. You can set up different hiring processes for different employee types (faculty vs staff vs athletic employees). It is so helpful to personalize those hiring processes in addition to personalizing applications for different employee types.

We use Paycor for all HRIS-related functions, including payroll, benefits administration, onboarding, performance reviews, reporting, analytics, etc. Time and attendance represent our heaviest use of the product.
  • Paycor has a great feedback forum in which you can see what other users are requesting and complaining about. You can also view the status of those complaints, such as "working on it," "planned," "being considered," etc.
  • Paycor is a one-stop solution for most of what HR practitioners need to do.
  • Paycor's customer support is very impersonal, and it's often hard to find an actual person to take ownership of your problem. Until recently, we had a dedicated account rep whose feet we could hold to the fire when problem resolution was stalled, but even that has been eliminated in favor of a "Shared Success Team."
  • The navigation is cumbersome. Accessing specific areas of an employee's profile now requires multiple clicks, each of which requires a screen reload. This doesn't sound like a major problem, but when you're working through dozens of employees to make changes, it can really slow down your day.
  • Paycor assured us at time of purchase that their product was cohesive throughout all its components: payroll, benefits, recruiting, etc. Our experience has been to the contrary. There are many areas in the product where the seams show through and the interface style changes as third-party software takes over. Benefits enrollments don't always communicate cleanly to payroll, for example, and it's not uncommon for us to find enrolled employees with no payroll deductions for their insurance.
Paycor is probably pretty good for small businesses, but the larger you grow, the more difficult it is to use. Their analytics tool provides inconsistent data as compared to our payroll journals, probably as a result of the multiple payrolls we have to maintain as a larger organization. The system doesn't properly allow for the use of "contingent" labor as a separate population of non-employees, meaning you have to make up phony social security numbers and other details in order to get them into the system for time card tracking. In our case, Paycor has set up different "payrolls" for each staffing agency that we use, and we have to maintain separate cost centers for them in every part the business where they work. This is resulting in a very cluttered system, and accurate reporting is difficult.

I use Paycor to view my paystubs and update my benefit elections. This enables each employee at my firm to track their paystubs easily, and eliminate the burden of emailing out each individual paystub to every employee every single month. A ton of time is saved as a firm using Paycor, and is much simpler to track paystubs as an employee.

Paycor is used to run payroll and automate HR operations. Employee information is stored here, and payroll is processed. It is also utilized for recruiting, using the applicant tracking system. Paycor is used to simplify many steps in these processes, making it easier to recruit, onboard new hires, run payroll, and keep track of employee equipment and certifications, birthdays, performance reviews, and more.

Paycor is a very effective software for a small businesses. It makes a lot of basic HR processes much simpler and easier. However, I am unsure how well it would fit a larger organization. I think it suits a small business very well and makes things easier, but may not be as effective in a larger situation. the applicant tracking system is less effective for hiring remote jobs. Because the jobs are posted on online job boards like Indeed, there is an overload of applications, many coming from unqualified candidates, making it difficult to weed out good candidates and wasting time reading through candidates without relevant experience.

Our business uses Paycor on a daily ongoing basis from employees clocking in and out via the app and the web portal. We also utilize the Time Accrual system for PTO procesing, Benefits Administration platform as well as the Scheduling platform. Our business is in Higher Education, so we also employee approximatley 500 students, Paycor allows the timekeeping process to be as smooth and minimal as possibly. Prior to Paycor, we use to process over 600 paper timesheets manually. Our business also struggled with our Open Enrollment process and administrating our benefits. The Benefits platform has really advanced that process and has taken it to a whole new level.
  • Paycor listens to their customers needs very well and addresses concerns immediately.
  • Paycor is continuously looking for Innovative ways to improve their platforms. For example the new tracking system for Paycor Support.
  • Paycor communicates and updates customers on upcoming updates often.
  • The Time Accrual platform has lots of room for improvement. Employees should be able to accurately track their time off and it should not be confusing as to how their time is calculated. The submitted upcoming Time Off Requests should also be allowed to edit and make changes. They should not have to delete their requests and start over.
  • The "NEW" timecard view does not function appropriately with some errors. In particular with "punch out of bounds" errors. The managers cannot view these errors to correct them, they have to toggle back to the old view in order to acknowledge them.
  • The Benefit's platform could use some improvement with different fiscal years and calendar years. When our employees make an election for a retirement contribution the system cannot decipher between our fiscal year (July 1) and the calendar year calculations.
Paycor has greatly increased the productivity of our HR staff, taking us from processing paper timesheets to having employees clocking their hours on the mobile app which then automatically import into the Paygrid portion of Paycor. Paycor has also reduced and aleviated the burden of our Open Enrollment process, advancing us decades ahead of how we were processing Open Enrollment. This has truly been a great experience. All programs are going to have features that may not be the best or may have glitches and hiccups along the way, but really matters is how the company handles those issues and Paycor is top notch to jump in and fix anything as it comes along.

I use Paycor for all 4 of our companies. The scheduling tool is the most helpful as we have different positions and departments. It makes clocking in easier to track for managers. The ATS system is very user friendly and displays across other hiring channels.

It is well suited for salaried employees, everything is automated. It is more of a struggle if someone works multiple positions. Along with pay increases reflects for the whole pay period when processing payroll so you have to adjust manually even though you entered an effective date under the pay rates. I like the ATS most because it shows activity from other managers and is easy to navigate.

Payroll, Onboarding, Benefits, Recruiting, LMS. We are actively using these main components in increasingly more comprehensive ways as we learn more about them all while using them. The LMS has been good for different training and we are still learning new ways to utilize it. Benefits has been a total game changer. We used to manually input every single person's choices into each system. The EDI fields are fantastic! Our most recent section is Recruiting and I am personally in charge of learning and implementing it. We opened that last week. TBD on how that goes, but so far it's been incredible even just having all the ready made templates, systems, and approval processes. I cannot wait to see what else we can do.

Easily the best online customer service I've ever experienced. Not just the people, though they're great, but the system set up clearly lets me know where my issue sits under the Paycor umbrella, sends me to the right people, or gets me to someone who can help me identify who I should be speaking with about it.
