  • Running payroll end to end is pretty easy with some guidance, UX is clear in guiding you through next steps.
  • Ad hoc correction/amendment requests, e.g. lost check research, 941 amendments, etc., with live account manager support and guidance.
  • Embedded AI that helps during configuration across all modules. E.g., we lost all the employees who were involved in the onboarding and implementation of Paylocity, when we had to add a new vacation code, we did not flag it as a 401K eligible earning code. Embedded AI would have flagged this to the editor as a reminder knowing that all vacation earning codes are flagged for 401k eligibility.
  • Garnishment set up and calculation.
  • Seeing Paylocity's growth since 2020, I'd like to seem an expansion of its Time & Labor features that contemplates remote employees or mobile employees (advance geo fencing).

  • Customer support is exceptional when adding new modules and features. We are paired with a specialist who is very responsive by email, phone or zoom.
  • The website and app are extremely reliable with no downtime in the last 2 years of usage. the interface has increased in ease of use and finding information.
  • the knowledge base is a great resource for articles and videos to help find quick solutions.
  • Payroll was more complicated than necessary but I see that this feature was just updated.
  • The benefit costs are complex to change/update for employees and especially the employer.
  • It would be nice to have a live chat feature for administrators within the app instead of having to send an email separately.

  • In my experience, time off accruals are complicated and cannot be managed by the company, Paylocity has to build and edit
  • In my experience, lots of similar reports conflict with one another, the data is not consistent
  • In my experience, timekeeping is glitchy and certain actions like entering overnight shifts consistently result in missed punches and errors
  • In my experience, customer service is not helpful, they give different answers depending on which rep you get
  • In my experience, our account manager ignores my emails or takes 3-4 weeks to solve a request for me
  • In my experience, they are unwilling to rebuild our setup after many months of telling them it is not working

  • It would be nice to have employees information in one place instead of going to HR and Payroll file
  • It would be nice for Time and Labor and HR and Payroll to "talk " to each other sometimes. Like when we upload Job numbers we have to upload them in HR and Payroll then go to time and labor to upload them again as well as the state tax
