The software's ability to mine, extract & convert data into a readable actionable format works very well for organizations like ours & minimizes the risk of human error. It helps in automating daily tasks & saves a lot of time which in turn can be better utilized to analyze that data. Pentaho also helps in creating models out of said data which can be directly used to get to pain points.

Pentaho has high reusability because of its UI structure. Also very high user friendly in nature which is very good for users. In terms of performance, it is very fast. Also, a regular update is available for the enhanced features. Cost is cheaper compared to current market standards which means very competitive in the market.

Even if Pentaho requires less technical skills to develop a pipeline or ETL project, its learning curve can be a bit slow since there are many ways to do the same thing as in any other platform. However, in Pentaho, some things can be confusing some moments for non-technical teams.

The Pentaho tools are designed so you can start playing around on your own. Of course, you will need guidance at some point, but the training teams are good at guiding new users, and the online documentation is usually pretty up-to-date.

Some of the tools, such as the Pentaho Data Integration tool and the Pentaho Server, are pretty self-explanatory. The other tools maybe are not so quickly and obvious to use, but again, with some documentation and some customer support, you can find your way around them.

Pentaho in terms of simplicity and extensive features, along with being user-friendly, one of the most successful options in business intelligence has been very successful. All industries and organizations are connected to various databases and information, and data import from all sources is possible via this platform. Diverse and accurate reports are possible at the user's discretion through the dashboard.

I would have liked some hands on help in trying to match what Customers were already used to. Plus having a team of Java/BI folks was difficult to assemble since what required to be done in an object oriented fashion could have easily been done via a SQL construct. This hash of technologies was difficult to manage.
