What is Picatic?

Picatic gives users the tools to promote, manage and sell event tickets online. Users can publish branded listings, send invites and create custom promotional codes to increase the number of registrants for an event. The vendor says payment is fast and simple with their single-page checkout system.

Once a listing has been created, users are sent a unique link to their event on Picatic which can be shared or spread across various social media platforms. Event listings and checkout pages can be customized to match the branding of the event with images, a logo and custom text. Listings may be viewed on the web via computers, tablets and smartphones.

All events can be added to Google Calendar, iCal, Outlook Calendar, or Yahoo! Calendar. Tickets are easy to invoice and payments are accepted using Stripe or Picatic Payments. Picatic offers a queueing system designed to handle heavy ticket sale traffic by placing buyers into a virtual lineup, facilitating the checkout process.

Once a ticket has been sold, buyers are instantly mailed an e-ticket with a scan code that can be scanned using Picatic’s mobile gateway check-in app. Users can access their backend account to see how many tickets have been sold, manage ticket numbers, view sales graphs and use additional management and marketing tools. With Picatic Pro, detailed ticket sales tracking and marketing evaluations are possible through Google Analytics integration.

I own a cafe in Madison, WI and we use Picatic to advertise our events and for registration. We chose Picatic because it allowed us to do everything we were looking to do with event management. We were able to set-up our event in Picatic and use the url to place in our Facebook Event ad for registration and ticket sales. Picatic works well with Stripe (our web based merchant processor). Another thing we liked about Picatic is that we can communicate with those registered through their platform. They also have a function were you can print out your attendee list for event check-in. I cannot say enough good about Picatic and we plan on continuing to use this platform for future cafe events.

Picatic is well suited for online sales of tickets for events. I haven't used it for anything else, so I cannot comment on where it would be less appropriate.
  • I don't think we would have the same number of signups if people weren't able to purchase tickets in advance.
  • Less inexpensive than Eventbrite.
Picatic has a freemium account and free trial as opposed to Eventbrite. It also provides so many other different features that Eventbrite doesn't offer like: analytics, ticket management, sales reporting, mobile integration, etc. Picatic is also very simple to use as opposed to Eventbrite that is difficult to navigate.

I use it to handle event registrations for both paid and complimentary events. I also use it to send event reminders and as a secondary CRM for the company. I liked it because it made reimbursement easy for paid events and I did not have to handle taking payments at the door which made registration at the event a great deal easier.
  • I loved the overall registration and attendee list that was made available. It easily smoothed out the process for getting people through the door and sitting down.
  • It was very easy to export the event database into our larger CRM tool so that we can follow-up easily and effectively with those that attended and those that missed.
  • The ease of setup for each event allowed us to get an entire event setup and running in just a few hours. It was made even faster for our repetitive events because we could just use the page from the previous one.
  • The landing pages although decent could be better improved so that they convert better when people get hit with them.
  • I think the analytics tool could also be improved so that a person could track where leads come from easier.
  • I think they could also make it easier to see who is paying the processing fee easier to find. There were a few times that it took a little bit of time to get the overall pricing set-up just the way that I wanted it.
I have recommended the software to several clients that are interested in running events. Overall if you are needing to run an event, be it paid or otherwise, this tool does enable you to keep track of all that is happening and to send event reminders. The fees charged are also very reasonable and those can be passed on to the attendees if needed.
  • It had a positive impact when charging for events because the money showed up before the event which helped with cash flow for food and beverages and rental space.
  • Time to set up and launch a landing page for creating events reduced from 8 hours to 3 hours once I made the switch. It was also a time saver to have the reminder emails function directly on the page as well.
Picatic was the switch I made from using both Constant Contact and Eventbrite because it was a faster and easier platform to handle. It also did not come with a high monthly cost and out more information above the registration link. Overall the landing pages are much better on Picatic than they were on any other site.

We hold free bi-monthly events for our partners with 2000+ attendees at a time. Picatic is a super easy to manage and a great way for our guest to RSVP. It's nice to be able to post the event for free because our events are free as well.

We've done some research on other ticketing sites and Picatic has been by far the best for our needs.

We also have had a couple of questions for the customer service team and they have always been quick to respond and resolve our questions efficiently.
  • I love the look and ease of putting the event together.
  • Its nice to be able to download a copy of all attendees for easy check-in at the door. They also have an application for smart phones that lets you scan the tickets as they come in and checks them off the list instantly.
  • The customer service team is always quick to respond and has help answer any questions that arise.
  • We post a survey contest every event with the dropdown option when our guest RSVP. It would be great to have the option for more than the max 40 in the dropdown list. (We could use 100!)
Other than the very small issue with the max number of dropdown options for the surveys, our experience has been great. As mentioned before, the site makes it super easy to customize your event as you'd like, the customer service/technical department is always very knowledgeable and quick to respond, and is FREE!
  • Since we have free events, the site is no charge for us to use.
  • Its easy to navigate both on the internal and consumer side.
  • So far, we've had nothing but success with Picatic. No negatives on our side.
Picatics site is clean, modern, and easy to navigate. There are many features and many ways to customize your event to make sure that it is exactly what we want.
If your having any issues the technical teams is always ready and available to help with any questions.

We use Picatic to promote most of our firm's promotional and client events. Our marketing department uses it exclusively in this manner and as such, most of our advisor network has embraced the Picatic technology. The platform does a great job of both promoting the event and tracking the targeted guest list which previously was done manually by our staff.
  • Intuitive layout of the site. They have done a nice job of making the platform easy to navigate for any user using their services.
  • Very responsive online service support. Whenever we have had questions in the past, some from the Picatic team was responded immediately, and were personable and professional.
  • The site is versatile in that you can embed not only images but video as well which can really make a dynamic presentation for the viewer or intended audience.
  • Not a con but a request would be the ability to have a way to be able to have 2 separate events pulled up simultaneously.
This is perfectly suited for any events you wish to promote and where you wish to track specifically who has RSVP'd for the event and perhaps who hasn't.
  • We introduced this technology to our firm approximately 1 year ago when we were preparing for our firm's annual client appreciation event. Until that point the largest crowd we had drawn for such an event was a little over 115. However with the help of Picactic, we secured 400 attendees which led specifically to new business with existing clients and prospective clients.
Have haven't used any other platforms.
