Track expenditure on all marketing campaigns and programs. Our issue was we could not get solid reports from our finance department with up to date spend for all of marketing.
  • Tracks Expenses
  • ROI on Campaigns
  • Reporting
  • Graphs
  • More automated input when creating campaigns for expenses that cross over quarters or year
Easy to use, it looks cumbersome at first due to how much Planful can do, but once you start it's simple. Love using Planful for simple expense tracking against budget and campaign spend tracking and efficacy.
  • Clear ROI figures on your spend verses opportunities and closes

We use the platform to report marketing spend by campaign by integrating into SAP. Converting Financial data into marketing data that is useful for live tracking of spend. This addressed transparency within our organisation where in today's world there is an expectation to have information available in a self serve manor
  • Manage campaign spend
  • Provide transactional details
  • Allow you to move spend around
  • Planful does not hold the budget therefore making it very difficult to compare when budgets are moved around
  • Integration of data is not solid and fails
  • The UI still is fiddly, example filter wont work, or when you switch screen views you need to refresh the URL again for it to work
It is suited for larger organisations that have complicated marketing spend calculations. Where marketing spend is simple from a reporting perspective i assume this will be less useful.
  • At this stage none, we are hoping less resources allocated to managing Planful
