We are using it across the whole organization. Every interviewee takes one to help us in the interview process. It helps us hire right the first time. We can hire for fit of department, and communication skills. We use it posted at employees desks as a communication helper. In employee development and reviews we use it as a tool to help develop and goal set for employees. Currently it helps the specific problems of fit in regards to our close knit teams.
  • Communication Styles
  • Work styles
  • Ease of understanding
  • Interaction styles
  • Great support & community
  • Accuracy
  • In Depth Training
  • Costly
  • It takes a bit of training fully understand
  • No webinars
  • Intensive training sessions
It is helpful when you are having a difficult time placing candidates, or you're having a management issue. Sometimes it's just communication styles are conflicting and they are just needing help with communicating to each other. And you have to be willing to put the money to get the results. Less appropriate in places where things are going smoothly and there are no issues (where is this magical place though?). In final- I think PI could be used in any place, I think we all can keep on learning and changing.

We are finishing our roll out to the entire company, explaining to them how it works and how to read it. We are using it to view succession planning as well as develop development guides. The biggest way we use PI currently is hiring.
  • Accurate
  • Simple to understand
  • Continuously improving
  • Excellent customer service when issues come up
  • Awesome training program
  • I would like more personalized text on their behavioral report
  • I would like to be able to jump between companies and people easier on their admin login
  • I would like to be able to have a download all option for all download content from PI completion
Very well suited for development and succession planning. We currently have managers to hang their hats on this as their decision maker for hiring.

We use predictive index across the organization not only for hiring, but also for team development. It helps in hiring the right people for the right job and for providing an understanding and increased acceptance among team members.
  • Increases communication among the team.
  • Provides an understanding around how people accomplish things differently.
  • Aids in organizational development and improvement.
  • I think PI is an incredible tool. it would be interesting to see a version geared toward a younger demographic.
PI helps leaders in recognizing their peoples' contribution. Creating an environment where employees can thrive based on their natural behaviors increases productivity and retention.

We are using PI Behavioral Assessment when we hire and promote individuals into sales roles or management roles. Our franchise is using this tool for all 3 of our clinics. Utilizing PI Behavioral Assessment allows us to be able to put the right individuals into the roles that are best suited for them.
  • Getting to the core of what makes us happy in our day to day compared to the tasks of a job
  • The ability to show how we like to interact with others
  • There is nothing I would change
PI Behavioral Assessment is great for any company that is looking for a better hiring and promoting tool to make sure they are getting the right candidates. With PI Behavioral Assessment, we feel confident that the right people are in the right positions.

PIs Rock!

PI Behavioral Assessment is currently being used in a variety of areas. I have used PI in other organizations and have just implemented it with my current employer. PI is used as a tool to assist in the recruitment process for staff positions. We are able to create a profile for the vacant position and generate some interview questions based on the candidates' profiles. This assists us in asking pertinent questions to ensure both the candidate and the company have explored if the position is really a good fit.

We also use PI as a tool to assist in managing current employees by understanding their preferences and what type of management style will set them up for success and in turn company success. It is also very informative for employees as they sometimes have an aha moment when we review their profile. They better understand why certain jobs or tasks were a struggle and others were easier.
Another area that we have utilized PI is in succession planning. Creating a profile for the position and identifying potential successors, we can compare profiles and, like in recruitment, ask the right questions to ensure this is something that would be of interest/fit.
  • Great Support and Training
  • Easy to administer
  • People are always surprised at how accurate it is
  • The custom reports are easy to generate
  • It is a bit costly.
  • It takes a bit of practice/training to fully interpret the profile
  • There are a lot of applications and tools to sift through...can be time consuming
PI Assessment is well suited as a tool in the recruitment and succession planning areas. However, I always stress that it is a tool and should not be used as the only indicator when recruiting an employee. I have also used it when an employee was struggling during a time of fast paced transition to explain why this was challenging and how we could address the short term concerns.

I have implemented the PI Assessment across the whole organization to increase team cohesiveness and communications along with implementing the PI in the recruiting process. Our first introduction with PI was during the hiring process when we needed to have a pre-employment screening tool to give us data on cultural fit.
  • The assessment is easy to administer and easy to debrief. The strength-based debriefing allows the person to absorb the information easier.
  • Th PI company has an outstanding platform, constantly offering me as a PI administrator to keep learning about the tool and sharing it with my company.
  • The accuracy of the PI tool is very spot on. So far all the employees who have taken the PI have commented on the accuracy of the report.
  • The word choice has been commented on by some (20%). The comments are related to some employees not understanding the words to choose correctly.
PI Behavioral can be used in pre-employment and helping teams understand the differences/strengths each person brings to a team.

We are utilizing the PI Behavioral Assessment when hiring key personnel. It is being used across the whole organization. This helps us to make sure only the people who are the best fit for our company and the job make it to the final hiring stages. This saves us time and money. It also helps to give us greater confidence in our hiring decisions.
  • Gets to the point
  • Encourages consensus between managers
  • Saves time
  • Training required

Our company has been using the PI Behavioral Assessments for the past 3 years, having moved from another behavior assessment we were using. We have found a great deal of value with the information the PI assessments provide. The assessments allow us to more easily screen candidates to match to open positions within our organization. We use the PI to profile open positions within our company that we then match candidates to. Not only do we use the PI to match applicants to job openings we use the information from the assessments of current employees for team building and to improve employee/management communication as well as employee development.
  • Very easy to administer
  • Information is provided in a positive manner
  • Reports are clear and easy to understand
  • The PI training is thorough and allows you to gain a much better understanding of the assessment results
  • A refresher training course would be helpful from time to time.
The PI assessment can be very useful in situations where you have a current employee who doesn't seem quite matched to their position. The information in their assessment would be valuable when considering a re-assignment to a new position. After all, the goal is for each employee to succeed and the chances of someone being successful are much greater when they are in a position that is matched to their motivating needs.

We began using the Predictive Index in human resources. However, it didn't take long before the assessment was adopted by other departments. Today we are using the PI Behavioral Assessment across our organization and we have seen organizational improvements. This assessment really does what it claims to do, it decodes humans. The PI has helped managers to improve working relationships with their employees and it has also been a very valuable tool in our organization's selection process.
  • Easy and simple to use!
  • Generates concise and very accurate results.
  • Great tech support is provided if you ever run into issues using the software.
  • Job applicants have asked questions regarding the general questions asked on the link before the PI Assessment begins.
  • I would recommend creating an option for applications to bypass the general questions before the assessment.
The PI Behavioral Assessment is well suited for improving your organization's hiring and selection process. The ability to create your own behavioral benchmark for specific positions adds a whole new dimension to your recruitment process. The assessment is also a great coaching tool for employee development and engagement. I highly recommend trying it out!

We have implemented the Predictive Index (PI) assessment into our new hire process by having all candidates complete the assessment during the interview process. We have created job patterns for the positions we are hiring for using information provided by employees successfully serving in these roles and their managers input. We are able to compare the results of the candidates with the job patterns that have been generated to ensure we are making a good decision. When a candidate does not match on a factor, we can ask exploratory questions generated by the report to see if the discrepancy is situational or standard per their personality and motivating factors. If the candidate matches on a factor, we can dig deeper with confirmatory questions to see if this is stable or generated by a socially desirable response.

We also use the software to develop coaching strategies for existing employees who may be struggling. This tool has helped us address the issue of turnover and poor hiring decisions.
  • Create development and coaching strategies for existing employees.
  • Create job patterns for your existing positions.
  • Create interview guides for candidates.
  • More online training resources for in-depth training.
  • Webinars to review ways to maximize the tools available to us.
PIs are well suited for assisting existing employees. I would suggest using them in the new hire selection process only if you use it as a tool to help inform your decision instead a knockout tool, which would serve to eliminate a candidate form consideration if they did not align with all factors in the PRO report.

PI is the best behavioral assessment on the market. It's very simple to administer, interpret, and take an assessment. Features like job matching, suggested interview questions, and graphs make it very easy to view how a candidate will fit into an organization at a glance. Highly recommended.
  • Interview guides based on strengths and shortcomings compared to a job's requirements.
  • The assessment itself takes between 5 and 10 minutes to take.
  • First class customer service.
  • High price.
  • Training is extensive and time-consuming.
  • A full interpretation of results is difficult without studying the process.
Great for high-level positions where personality fit is very important. Administering assessments for lower-level positions with naturally high turnover may be seen as overkill depending on what industry you're in.

PI is used within various departments at our company, but primarily begins with the Human Resources department. It's a tool we use for hiring, team communication, and employee relations issues. For many of our positions, we have a PRO profile, meaning that we have an ideal PI profile for someone to be successful in their position. It is not a requirement for someone to have this profile to have success, but it is useful in identifying areas that may be not so natural for someone in their role based on their own PI profile. It is only one piece of the puzzle for an employee, not the end all be all.
  • Comparison of PI Pro profiles to potential applicants.
  • Useful training and accessibility of the site.
  • Application of the drives and motivations.
  • Explanation of M Factor scores.
  • Ease of use for new individuals searching the access PI site.
  • Community usage should be made available to all trained PI personnel.
  • Ideally would like to see potential "conflict points" when comparing two individual profiles together.
PI is fantastic when trying to understand the behaviors, motivations, internal drives, etc. of your workforce population. The PI profile allows people to have insight into why individuals perceive situations and scenarios the way that they do. It tells you if recognition is important to them, or if it is something that may produce anxiety. Overall, I think PI is essential for communication amongst teams.
