We use Procore for project management. It is great to keep our teams on the same page and provide access to all project information in one place. It has streamlined our processes and reduced risks.
  • Contracting.
  • Keeping directory of subcontractors.
  • Streamlining communications.
  • Implementation in general, can take a long time for features to roll out.
  • Pricing model could be improved.
Great as an overall project management platform, very user friendly in terms of layout and their support services.

Our Bleuwave Team uses Procore for all our production and field needs. We've currently been using Procore for nearly 2 years and have found it a useful tool in our day-to-day operations. From bidding to managing construction operations, as well as financial obligations, Procore is in use every day at Bleuwave. We are a commercial general contractor specializing in charter schools as well as large retail projects. When a new project comes along, we begin with bidding in Procore and move through to contracting and submittals as well as RFIs and scheduling. Daily Logs help us track our field operations. The financial tools (PCCO's/change events/CCO's/budgets) keep us on track and in line with our accounting obligations. The Company Directory and Project Directories assist with managing our team of subcontractors as well as key stakeholders in all our projects.
  • Bidding is easy with Procore. We can set up a bid and get it out to bidders within an hour or so. Our bidders can then upload their bids directly into Procore.
  • Subcontract Commitments are customized to take advantage of our boilerplate needs as well as Exhibits that we can easily manage within Procore.
  • PCCO's and CCO's are easily managed via Procore.
  • Submittals can be uploaded to Procore by the subs and then assigned via workflows preset in the Submittal Settings.
  • There are times where our bidding process could improve due to filtering efforts. One of those efforts involves notifying subs of changes via Email Correspondence within Procore. The correspondence feature does not recognize the filtering within the bid screen so that only certain subs receive the correspondence.
  • Award letters are not part of the bidding process. Rather one has to actually send them a commitment. We would like to see an LOI function to give the sub a heads-up that a commitment is being sent to them.
  • Customization is lacking in numerous tools. The only way some of the customization happens is if we go through the Custom Solutions Team and then it may not be possible.
  • We would like to include a Dear John Letter template within the Bidding tool. The only way we've found to do this is via regular email because there is no way to create or use an already created form which does not serve our purpose.
For the most part, Procore works well for most construction-related processes, particularly bidding and certain financial functions. However, there are a few areas that could greatly improve our field staff. Where scheduling is concerned, there doesn't seem to have a 3-week lookahead function that works for us. Scheduling could be greatly improved upon. Also, submittal processing is difficult as the stamping within a submittal approval step is very convoluted and lacks the ease of use that Bluebeam Revu or Adobe Pro offers. This could also be greatly improved upon.

We use Procore to manage our construction projects from preconstruction to defects management. Procore has been instrumental in combing several processes into a single platform. Being able to communicate large portions of files & information with a subcontractor pool with ease has streamlined projects. Another major benefit of Procore is the ability to connect & control lines of communication between trades & clients/consultants - to ensure all information is communicated correctly & that appropriate records are being kept.
  • Document management & transfer.
  • Meeting minutes.
  • Tender process.
  • Timecards.
  • Drawing review.
  • Speed of use - sometimes clunky & slow to use.
  • Setting up of transmittals - need to find a way to integrate templates for quicker set-up.
  • Timecard is clunky.
Procore is good when it is being used for all aspects of the project - from pre-con & tender to defects. It speeds up the completion of tedious tasks - like dilapidation reports, defects management, client communication. Sometimes it is difficult to get a client invested in using it for a one-off project - but once you use it for a bit it is very intuitive.

We use Procore to manage RFIs, submittals, and drawings. It helps us keep meeting minutes and photos of the job; it is all around easy to use and helps me do my job.
  • RFIs are easy to search
  • Submittals are easy to submit
  • Photos are simple to organize
  • Can't print straight from the web
It is great for general contractors.

We use Procore to keep up to date on all the changes being made. We also use it to manage our RFIs and to send our submittals to make sure the party responsible gets it and responds in a timely manner. It also has a nice feature that allows you to send out notifications to someone if their response is needed. It has saved us a great deal of time and made us more productive because Procore does what used to take a bunch of time from us.
  • It managed the submittal process seamlessly.
  • Sending reminders if there is a response needed from a person.
  • Keeping me up to date with the latest changes being made to the project.
  • It is very easy to navigate the site and find what you are looking for.
  • There are lots of customizations to tailor to your needs.
  • Sometimes there can be too many emails.
  • It has more pros then cons.
It is great to handle submittals, RFIs and keep communication key between the field and office. It can be from uploading pictures in the field to transmitting changes that need to be made asap and making sure everyone gets it and can act accordingly. It also does a great job of reminding parties if there is something in their ball of court that needs attention.

It's an efficient and innovative tool for any project no matter the size. It helped me stay up-to-date with jobs that were being bid out and then awarded. It made that transition seamless. It also is a great place to have access to the latest approved submittals, up-to-date drawings, and also have the ability to submit RFIs directly to the GC.
  • Successfully consolidates all the information one needs for a project.
  • Makes it seamless to transition from bidding a project to then managing it.
  • Helps with direct access to General Contractors for submittals and RFIs.
  • Response time on website can sometimes be an issue.
  • Software isn't always as seamless on an iPad.
Due to it being a cloud-based software system, it's great to use if you are someone who transitions from the office to meetings and multiple job sites. It allows you access to all of the same information no matter where you go. You can get quick access to anything you might need.

I use Procore on a daily basis for all of my cost management, RFI, Submittal, company directory, and document [management] needs. It is an easy-to-use platform that allows me to have everything in one place and have the ability to access documents both online and offline. It helps me solve problems when questions arise in the field as it easily allows me to upload and document questions and answers for RFI's. It also helps organize and move along the submittal process as it presents a platform for subcontractors to upload submittals, the PM to review, and design professionals to review submittals. Procore also helps me track all cost events that a construction job occurs, both planned and unplanned. You can easily track cost events and create change orders in Procore and easily update your budget/job cost accordingly. Procore also has an easy-to-use [a] directory that allows me to keep track of all contact info for a certain job as well as create a directory for future use. Procore is a great platform that holds all of the information I described above in one place that is easily accessible, user-friendly, and a vital tool to my company. I highly recommend.
  • Customer Support
  • Ease of Use
  • Customizability
  • Cost Management Software
  • Smartphone App
  • Budget
  • Email tracking
Procore is great for anyone looking for Project Management software to help organize their company and create and foster efficiency. It is suited well for companies that are looking for one platform that can handle everything from cost management, budgets, RFIs, and any other activities needed in the construction industry.

I use Procore daily for most project documentation needs. Daily reports, QA/QC observations, RFIs, submittals, photo documentation, and drawing review are all used daily. Having access to all of this from any mobile device or PC helps me with my productivity.
  • Drawing categorizing - this is done automatically, so this is a huge time saver.
  • Observations - distribution is done automatically and this helps with tracking issues.
  • Punch list items are tracked automatically and help users keep tabs on completion.
  • The workflow on submittals seems clunky and convoluted. This should be simplified and streamlined.
  • The usability of submittals module takes a while to use. going back and forth between the log and submittals is not user friendly.
Outside of construction, I don't see Procore being too useful. However, this software is perfect for construction project management.

We are using Procore across our entire construction and development group. I am in the office rather than out in the field so I would typically be using the meetings tool and the photos tool. We recently set up our meeting agendas so that they would be consistent across all of our jobs in every state. This will be helpful for those attending the different job meetings so that similar information is always relayed in a consistent manner. Also, the ability to get the information out to the entire group via emailed PDF's of the meeting agenda and minutes has been a great help!
  • Procore customer service is very good. The people are very friendly and helpful and quick to respond to questions.
  • Procore is constantly making improvements to their software. They seem to be genuinely interested in hearing what changes we want and then implementing them.
  • Procore is very user friendly. Even if you don't know exactly how to do something, you can pretty easily figure it out on your own. If you can't, they have an entire library of helpful videos.
  • Procore is on the leading edge of technology and is always looking to improve their platform.
  • Since Procore is always updating their software, it can be hard to keep up with all the changes sometimes.
  • The reporting tools have come a long way since we started using Procore but we would like to see more flexibility with this tool.
  • Some tools, while helpful, still need some tweaks on how they report the information.
Procore seems to be good for us for using the punch tool (which has improved greatly) in the field. I think it has been helpful to the guys on site. They are not quite where we need them to be to be able to implement our financial data into the program yet.

Currently we use Procore to help manage all of our Projects. As a owner/developer GC we use it to help keep our office staff, field staff, and ownership team on the same page. We use Procore for Multifamily Projects, Senior Care facilities, Warehouses, and other types of projects. From a day to day operations stand point, we use Procore to help us solve any issues that may occur in the drawings, help us track any communications so that we do not have errors from that, and to help quickly ask any RFI's.
  • Procore does really well at streamlining communications between the field and office. I think this is a strength because it helps solve what could be, a potential for, communication errors.
  • Procore helps keep all the information in one place, so it is easy to access while on the job. I think this is a strength because it helps the field resolve any issues or questions, and making sure they make a correct call.
  • Procore does well with being able to log what is happening on a jobsite from day to day. This is a strength because it helps both the field and office know who was on the jobsite and when they were on the site.
  • Punchlist tool could be streamlined to make quicker punches.
  • Meeting Minute Size: When printing from our old meeting minutes to using Procore, we almost doubled the amount of sheets. I can see in the future going paperless, but we can't right now, and we're printing a lot of extra sheets.
I am a big fan of Procore and what it has to offer. I know there are areas of improvement needed but overall I believe it has helped the construction industry with streamlining processes and helping teams with communication.

We are a lighting specialty contractor. We Audit, Design, and Project Manage LED retrofit projects from School Districts, Hospitals, Universities, and Production Facilities. There are constant issues with the current Covid situation as well as material procurement issues that we are running into and trying to overcome. Procore helps with the management of the projects and allows all personnel involved to be informed.
  • Procore allows many users to look at the same information.
  • Procore is mobile friendly being on multiple platforms.
  • With being a specialty contractor we need to use some of the tools differently.
Procore is well suited for big construction programs where there are many moving parts. Unfortunately, it lacks the small business aspect with honing particular tools within Procore to suit the specific company or project underway. An example would be that we use As-Builts for the projects but in Procore, those need to be uploaded as Punch Lists, therefore, taking away the Punch List function for project closeout.

I use Procore to manage the tendering and the execution of mechanical construction. Procore helps greatly in the integration between the field and the office, saving time and money in this process. Things like printing, taking to the field, handwriting, signing, bringing back, and scanning T&Ms don't exist anymore here, for example. It is all done through Procore, seamless and [efficient.]
  • Integration
  • Tracking
  • Organization
  • User friendly interface
  • Change orders being not editable after approval unless the recent ones are put back to draft
  • Poor reliability of the Procore Sync
  • Lack of tool to assign parts of an approved change order to certain individuals
Procore has some cons, but overall the pros outweigh the cons. It is a great tool that streamlines most of the processes in construction, keeping track of all changes, deletions, additions, and so on. Adding to that, the support is fast and efficient, [which] is a great customer experience positive item.

Having come from what I like to refer to as the "old school" way, Procore was initially a bit of a surprise when I started working for my current employer. The app is extremely intuitive and easy to find your way around. Didn't take long before I was finding lots of ways the software saved time. No more keeping track of paper daily logs or chasing superintendents to get them turned in or sent in. Photos are all easily organized and it makes life so much easier when you need to find that picture from 6 months prior. Tasks are easily tracked and being able to automatically remind with emails is wonderful, it helps force the tasks to get completed. Between build-outs and ground-up projects, Procore is right there with everything you need.
  • Photo organization and search capabilities.
  • Daily reports that are searchable by a number of options; sub/trade/date; very easy to find what you need.
  • Punch/Completion lists. These are so much easier to keep track of items and remind subs on a regular basis of tasks outstanding.
  • Project specific financials
  • Ability to document/record email correspondence with project specific email addresses
  • Scheduling could be a bit better.
  • More integration with MS products.
  • Need an area for internal/company-only notes/discussions that are not available to the client.
For your average commercial contractor with a steady line of projects, this is a blessing in disguise. From small build-outs to multi-million dollar ground-up builds, Procore keeps everything organized and familiar. Also perfect for the field and office teams when projects are out of town or out of state. I cringe at the thought of having to find a scanner or fax machine to use while on the road to send in weekly reports on a monthly basis. With procore, as soon as you complete the log, it's visible to all parties with access. So much faster and makes it easier for everyone to stay in the loop a lot closer to real time vs a few days later. That can often make all the difference in a situation.

I work for a general contractor and not a specialty contractor. I definitely will not recommend a specialty/subcontractor purchase Procore because it purchased and managed by GC's, which subcontractors need to use to interface with the GC. As a GC, it is an all-in-one solution to manage almost every aspect for the construction process.
  • Financials (Budgets, Subcontractors/Commitments).
  • Documentation Management (RFI's, Submittals, Observations).
  • Continuous Upgrades, although it could be a bit slow.
  • It's an all-in-one solution, so it is a little behind in focusing on specific aspects of the processes. For example, the change order process is a little convoluted and locations assignments could use some improvement.
  • Procore recognizes that there are flaws, but they are continually updating it and adding features. I just wish they'd do it faster.
Procore excels in that it's an all-in-one solution, so I don't have to jump to different software to handle different aspects of a project. This creates good links between different modules (RFI's tie into Change Events to handle the financial aspects, observations could be made in the field to tie into Change Events, etc.).

I use Procore for my daily coordination with my General Contractor. I'm finishing up a high rise building which was coordinated through Procore for the last 3 years. I get submittal and RFI emails notifying me of outstanding questions the contractor has. Submittals are neatly organized by Spec Sections and can be filtered in various ways to find things. The UI can be intimating at first but you get used to it pretty quickly. If you need to forward and/or reassign the submittal to another party the functionality is built into the software. RFI's are set up in a similar manner which makes it easy to transition back and forth between these and submittals. All Drawings the project may have are archived online and can be easily accessed. What's nice is that Procore catalogs all iterations of a drawing which allows seamless access to see the history of changes. All the functionality talked about here can be accessed through the main software, the online site, and the app on iOS or Android.
  • Document management.
  • RFI and submittal coordination.
  • Punch lists and observations.
  • Specification management.
  • More seamless UI.
  • Better search functionality.
  • Warnings about software changes ahead of time.
Procore is great for construction project management. It's tailored specifically for contractors and design professionals. A owner of a project can also be integrated into the software but might have trouble navigating around. While Procore can be used for other non construction projects you'd only be able to use only a fraction of the capability of the software and should probably use sometime more simple.

Procore helps provide our field personnel and projects teams with project documents right at their fingers while working onsite. It allows us to keep data and information flowing efficiently and effectively to keep the project on schedule, under budget, and with best-in-class quality. Procore allowed us to reduce the different projects our team members had to use on a daily basis for various job functions. Now they have a single source of truth and it makes their ability to do their jobs easier. It takes less time to get information needed and they are able to increase their time spent on getting work in place.
  • Increase communication between project stakeholders.
  • Reduce data silos.
  • Reduce turnaround time on submittals and RFIs.
  • Adjusting Lookahead schedules.
  • Customization.
  • Cost Forecasting for GMP projects.
Procore is well suited for General Contractors managing multiple subcontractors/vendors to execute a construction project while working with Clients and Design Teams.

We use Procore to track and manage all of our jobsites at Wolf Construction. We house all blueprints, plans, inspections, and documents for each project in Procore. We also just recently implemented the timesheets function in Procore. We had previously been using handwritten timecards; employees would submit a handwritten timecard every week. They were messy, hard to read, and probably not the most accurate. Now, our Crew Leads and Foremen submit a timesheet for every employee on their jobsite EVERY DAY. This has cut our payroll processing time in half. We are able to download a file containing all employee hours for the week and upload it into our payroll software. It's fast, accurate, and easy. Our employees love having the access at their fingertips.
  • Timesheets.
  • User-friendly.
  • Thorough.
  • Project management.
  • Updates.
  • System changes.
  • Communication from representatives.
Procore timesheets have been such a blessing to our company. However, I know the implementation of that software took a very long time and it wasn't always a smooth process. Sometimes we had trouble getting answers to our questions in a timely manner.

It also makes a huge difference whether you are using Procore on an Android or an iPhone. They look completely different and sometimes that can be confusing to our employees. Consistency between software would be nice.

The main capability we use Procore for is its Document Control feature. When it comes to dropping files and organizing the way files are structured, Procore is second to none. Being able to have the same file path for each customer we set up in Procore helps the sales team find files easily in Procore. This avoids a lot of confusion and having to figure out where files are.
  • Document control.
  • Drawing/editing tools.
  • Navigation through Procore.
  • Tasks module.
  • Customization.
I would recommend Procore to anyone that needs a very good document control software. That is the main feature we use it for over here, as it makes organization of files extremely easy. You're able to structure the files to your liking. Taking pictures and uploading them via mobile device is also very very good.

Procore is essential to our business as a masonry subcontractor. With Procore, we are able to view bid invites for prospective projects, communicate with general contractors, and manage all of the ins and outs of the trade, once we've won a job. Without Procore, our job would be SIGNIFICANTLY harder.
  • Project Management.
  • Job Information.
  • Document Consolidation.
  • Could be more user-friendly.
  • Aesthetic needs work.
  • Can't download single files.
Procore is a top-of-the-line product when it comes to project management. Our project managers use Procore for all aspects of their job, whether it be asking questions, communicating with field workers, downloading/sharing documents, or viewing project details. With the help of Procore, our project managers are able to maintain efficiency throughout the entire project.

We have just started setting up Procore so we can submit construction plans and redlines to clients, engineers and anyone else associated with the project.
  • Frees up storage in emails and transmit faster
  • Great tracking, you know who has seen or opened the email and who has not.
  • There is a timeline tracker on any updates or modifications on drawings.
  • Documents can be sent to a group or individual very easily.
  • We have a warranty log that we would like to incorporate and let everyone have access to, but Procore does not have the options we need in order to make this type of form.
  • You can make your own template but only based on what is provided. There is no real way to make exactly what you need without having the Procore team make the template on their end (if they even can).
  • I do not like the fact that you can not erase certain things like if you make a mistake on a template. I think maybe the head admin can go in and do it though.
This program can become very pricey, so just make sure it has the full functions your company needs. We were told in the sales pitch that it would integrate with our accounting software and then, after the purchase and during training, we were told that it did not integrate.
