General contractors, construction management.
All Project management features within Procore are well designed and improving. We like drawing related tools and inspections / observations.
The current reporting tools are not sufficient for our needs, we are holding out hope the upcoming report enhancement release will address some of these issues. Cross tool reporting anchored by cost code is a crucial step.
Safety forms and documentation has a lot of room for improvement. Safety record keeping is becoming a major issue for many construction companies we would like to avoid purchasing another software package just for Safety. Procore has room to improve value with Safety.

Currently, as a specialty contractor, we utilize multiple parts of Procore. We are able to manage products through the digital fields. Plans and projects can be updated and utilized for future use. We also utilize the timesheets and documentation programs that help us store and easily use for budget info.
  • Easy to use.
  • Managing production.
Cons
  • Manager usage expenses.
  • Possible 3d plan usage.
Procore was able to solve multiple different facets of separate digital areas that were separated before. We were able to take all our information as in photos, plans, spreadsheets, etc to be housed all in one location that helps with ease. Also all easily accessible and used on iPad and easy to learn for even the novice.

It is being used for project management across the whole organization. It helps to be web-based for accessibility and holding all parties accountable.
  • Holds all relevant information in one location.
  • Dashboard for an at a glance review.
  • Keeps you organized.
Cons
  • Pop up notifications.
  • Notify that "x" is past the due date. No response in "x" time.
When you have multiple projects going at the same time it is great. A small company may find cost prohibitive.

Procore Streamlines Operations Between Office and Field

My current company is an electrical contracting firm. The majority of our employees and operations are offsite, in the field. The need to move from paper-based to cloud-based interactions became necessary to expedite our operation processes in the field. It is has streamlined the submittal process, RFI management and daily log documentation for both safeties, human resources, and change order processing.
  • As a company with multiple projects, field sites, and contacts, managing RFI's can be a cumbersome process. Procore eases this process. Procore has enabled field journeyman to generate urgent RFI's at the job-site. While back at the office, I edit and distribute with a few clicks of the mouse. Procore enables the journeymen to attach drawings, specs, and photographs and for me creates tracking reports and automated emails for response deadlines.
  • Procore increases our field productivity by eliminating the need for redundant paperwork entries, single-source electronic storage, plans and submittals, and daily log annotations.
Cons
  • Timecard entries are lacking the ability to add custom verbiage pertaining to local and state requirements, thus still requiring additional paperwork. Adding this functionality would further streamline payroll process for me.
As a subcontractor, rather than a general contractor, we have had to rework the direction a few of the Procore systems have in place.

Procore is used across our operations teams on a daily basis to manage documents and cost data on our construction projects. The software is intuitive and customer service is top notch!
  • Customer service - CSRs engage immediately and don't stop until they've solved your problems.
  • Feedback - Procore has taken our feedback seriously and made improvements based on some of our suggestions.
  • Training - Procore provides training resources on-demand, as well as monthly webinars, to keep all their users current with updates, modifications, and how-to guides.
Cons
  • Timing of mass emails - all reminders go out at 0400 CST. I wish these could be modified for receipt during business hours.
We use Procore for all things project related - document tracking, communication with trade partners, and cost tracking.
