Procore is used to manage changes issued by the general contractor with all the subcontractors. Any issuance of a CN, CCN, or RFI is sent out with document management control to submit change quotes or questions. Also, daily job task assignments are used to ensure documentation is uploaded daily to meet clients' requirements. Approved SCOs are issued, and contacts are managed through this program.
  • Document management.
  • Change Notice issuance.
  • Contract control.
The document control portion of Procore is fantastic. Once added, all users can see, manage, and review issued documents. The ability to see past project history is helpful as well, even when a project is complete. However, the password control (days between having to reset) is very narrow and time-consuming for someone who wants and needs to access the program for submittals.

Best-in-Class project management solution for achieving high performance.

Procore has been a key pillar to simplifying our tasks. Helps us keep teams on schedule, stay within budget, ensure quality and maintain a safe work environment. It is highly customizable at purchase so we can choose the tools we need making it a good fit for any work we allocate it.
  • Has best user interface.
  • Outstanding customer service, training and ongoing technical support.
  • Straightforward pricing model.
Beyond just projects management, Procore includes daily logs to keep teams accountable, work-in-progress reports, to-do lists for creating and tracking action items, scheduling functionality and other collaboration features that help with efficiency and meeting deadlines. However, the reporting features need to be improved to make more effective and user friendly.

I personally use Procore mainly for the forms feature. Being able to have workers in the field select a pre defined tool or material form, fill it out, and send it in to us all while leaving a papertrail behind has helped alleviate many arguments. Once we are done with it we can then send it back with all updates attached to it.
  • Tracking updates done to forms
  • Reminding users of uncompleted tasks with an email daily
  • Showing metrics on a project's home screen so that everyone knows what has been done in a timely manner
It is perfect as a communication software for documents and forms from a project to its home base. It does not have functionality to have forms for tools or material pull straight from an inventory. But it isn't made for that. It does however have connectivity with Align, a tool and material management software, so that this isn't an issue.

Procore has changed and improved the way I manage jobs. It makes it so easy for me to upload pictures while looking at a job to quote quickly. It makes being able to manage bigger jobs much more efficient as well. I can look at drawings on the phone with employees and discuss issues. I can always make sure my guys have the most updated drawings. It's a great way to store all job site submittals and specs where they can be accessed by anyone needing them from anywhere. The Daily log/reports feature is handy for tracking job site progress and quickly reviewing past days if we have an issue.
  • User Friendly.
  • Great to organize jobsite info.
  • Easy to share files between everyone involved in a project.
  • All the info you need for the project with you at all times on you iPad.
  • Great to track daily progress.
Large-scale construction projects: Procore's comprehensive suite of tools, including project management, document control, and quality assurance, is ideal for managing complex and large-scale construction projects. It can handle multiple teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders effectively, ensuring smooth collaboration and efficient workflow. Projects with stringent compliance requirements: Procore's built-in compliance features, such as safety management and quality assurance modules, can help organizations meet industry standards and regulations. It provides a central platform for tracking and managing compliance documentation, reducing non-compliance risk.

Procore is extremely helpful with document control. For years we had folders in folders in folders full of drawings, specifications, addenda, etc., and it was always confusing because everyone had a different filing system. With Procore it has you use the issue date, received date, set name, drawing name, when you upload, which files everything based on date, so you aren't using the wrong documents to install work. A simple idea, but they execute it perfectly.
  • Document Control
  • Organization
  • Different Access Levels so Junior team members can't cause issues
Procore is well suited for use with document control and keeping documents, drawings, specifications, etc., organized. Procore is a little TOO detailed to use for something more "rough" like being using for estimating or "pre-construction" type activities, you have to put a little bit too much information in there for the proverbial "juice" to be "worth the squeeze".

Procore helps me daily on my large scale construction projects. We specifically track architectural supplemental info and for communicating with subcontractors. My favorite feature is the ability to create drawing sets that automatically add themselves to the current Plans in a smart and realistic way. Procore tracks exactly what page is being replaced automatically - and saves us many headaches.
  • Tracking
  • Workflow
  • Team Communication
  • Interdepartmental Communication
  • External Business Communication
Procore is great for large scale projects. For smaller projects I would think something like Building Connected is better.

Before Procore we were a mostly paper shop. Using this application we are able to store and share information in a digital format. Managers can view in real time information from the field without constantly asking for updates. Also, anyone can lookup pictures and daily logs without asking others. This allows those numerous inquires to be filled without becoming larger projects.
  • Broad use cases
  • Daily logs
  • Pictures
  • Custom forms
Procore is well suited when there is an office staff to manage the application, if a company existed without an office staff then the field crews would have to maintain Procore. This could cause more problems than is solves. Otherwise having the ability to pick & choose different modules to suit our use cases is ideal.

We have been using Procore to manage all of our tracking from the prebid documents, bidding, RFI, RFPs, plans... everything that would have been tracked otherwise with excel spreadsheets for each topic.
  • Submittals
  • Drawings
  • RFIs
  • Daily Logs
  • Change Orders
  • Contracts
  • Bidding Lists
Procore is well suited for everything... honestly, I have had no issues with the software throughout my use. The one thing that I would recommend is a step-by-step scenario training for first-time users as they are doing something rather than having to watch videos and take quizzes, this could be more hands-on then studying about the different topics and then figuring it out on your own.

We use Procore daily for the submission of submittals, RFIS, daily reports, punch list, observations. We just started adding in the financials to the company to make use of that because often times RFIs or submittals come back with change events associated with them. We manage construction projects from commercial-residential to hospitals and even retail spaces. Because we are stretched throughout New England it helps our company stay organized and up to date on drawings and outstanding items. We really appreciate everything that Procore has done for our company to get it into the 21st century.
  • Team collaboration.
  • Up to date drawings on site.
  • Document organization is amazing!
I absolutely love Procore! It really does give that on-the-spot project organization and clarification on the project so that everyone is on the same page at all times. No documents are missed. You can adjust who you want to see the files. It's honestly a really good product!

Procore is a one-stop shop for my project management needs and is the first thing I log in to every morning. From submittals and RFIs to daily reports and change orders, everything is all in one place and accessible everywhere. The automatic email reminders for overdue items are especially helpful.
  • Document management
  • Ease of use
  • Time cards
  • Collaboration
  • Change Management
Procore is great for general contractors and construction managers, but would not be worth the cost for subcontractors. Many of the features would not be useful for subcontractors and the program is not designed for their workflow. Larger subcontractors with many tier subs could see some benefits, but there are likely better options.

Procore helps us with the financial notion and status of the project, also with the comunication and having all the project data in one place.
  • Communication
  • Drawings Storage
  • QA/QC and Punch List Review
  • Financial Management
Procore is a well suited app for having all your project documents in one place. Helping you with communication between project team, contractor, subcontractors and clients. It's Daily log tool is really good for keeping track of all the activities during the day and its new Field productivity helps you measure the real crew production on a day to day basis. It helps linking the financials commitments with the budgeted cost codes. It is less appropiate for linking with outside 3rd party programs such as SAP or Dynamics which could be of great help in the upcoming future having this capabilities.

Procore has been a great tool for us to use as a Commercial General Contractor. It is widely known and used in the industry, and it is well accepted by our Site Superintendents and Subcontractors as well. It is easy to use and provides us a powerful document management system while integrating with scheduling to provide superior Project Management solutions. We are also working with the Finance and Invoicing modules and they are excellent tools for Subcontracts, Owner Contracts, and Change Orders as well as invoicing for the Subcontractors and invoicing to the Owner.
  • Project Management - RFI's, Submittals, Daily Logs
  • Finance - Subcontracts and Owner Contracts, Change Orders
  • Invoicing - Subcontractor invoicing, Owner invoicing
  • Integrates with Primavera P6, DocuSign, many others
I would recommend Procore to other GC's to improve their ability to document their projects in an organized and orderly way. The app is easy to use for on-site Superintendents and others to document daily logs, start RFI's, and review submittals from Subcontractors. The plan viewer is also an amazing tool for on-site workers to utilize.

Procore is our best tool yet for communicating and tracking Requests For Information from the field to the designers. The e-mail tool embedded keeps track of conversations often necessary to get to a response from designers, owners, and all stakeholders included in a project. Procore's many tools help with all aspects of a construction project, beyond document sharing is also the many tools like the Daily Log, Photos, Observations and others help document project progress and communicate with others needs and assignments. The Photos tool is awesome, sorting photos by date, locations, album tagging, etc.
  • Photo tracking
  • daily log form
  • observation form
  • document control
  • RFI's
Perfect for managing a construction project of any type. Works best if Designers and STakeholders are all on-board.

I am responsible for projects in medical facilities that include renovation of Operating Rooms, labor and delivery rooms as well as many procedure rooms.
Procore helps me with communication to all sub contractor, owners and architects. Documentation of all events in the daily operations of construction is vital to a successful project and Procore help me to achieve that.
  • Daily logs are simple to use but complete enough to communicate what happens on thew job site daily.
  • Email notifications help remind people to respond to RFI's, punch list items and other required items.
  • Everything needed to complete a project located in one application.
Procore has been widely accepted by all the contractors we use. This helps everyone stay up to date on changes and communication

As of now Procore is the backbone of our firm. We use it for all aspects of construction. Starting with generating bid invitations and scopes. We then use a hybrid to receive bids due to our sub contractor base being technologically diverse. Once a project is awarded to us we then move to the Project management tools. In the filed we use daily log, RFI's, Observations, Safety checklists, picture albums and submittals. In the office all the submittals and reviews are pushed through Procore to ensure proper work flow and keep the project moving. We wrap up the project with the Punch list tool and the office closes the rest.
  • Emails
  • Drawing management
  • Submittal review
  • Bidding
Procore is a great piece of software for managing a construction project overall. It works great for the field but in our experience the office side is a bit cumbersome and confusing at times. It would be better to not update the modules without some advance notice and included technical support.

As a Superintendent working with a General Contracting company, we deal with various specialty contractors that range in many trades. With that comes the challenge and responsibility of keeping everyone in tune and coordinated very closely so that the operations can flow as smooth as possible. Procore provided us with the solution we were looking for. By allowing every Foreman on site to collaborate with us on Procore, they are able to see and interact with any updates, schedules, meetings, inspections, and punch list items that we may have for them, making the flow of information efficient and clear. From using the forms tool which allows them to fill out daily forms, to creating and assigning inspections that the subcontractor on site can respond to in timely manners, Procore has alleviated time consuming tasks that previously were tedious and complicated. Even sending announcements to the team so that everyone is aware of any upcoming site changes, has really changed the way we communicate and keep everyone informed. The ability to update plans and distribute any revisions instantly to our subs on site eliminates the chances of subs building without dated plans. Procore without a doubt has become the tool in our toolbox that makes building that much easier.
  • updating and distribuiting plans
  • Submittal workflow process
  • Punch list assignment
Great for construction, but missing the ability to adapt to other branches of the firm, like charities work, internships with schools, community out reach, and externship with other organizations.

As an estimator for a general contractor I use Procore to file away all of the initial site photos, subcontractor bids, and Client proposals along with any revisions to them. After a project is awarded we use the forms tool to discuss job start-up task and it helps to ensure I complete everything required for the project. We add subcontractors and clients to the directory of each project. We utilize the RFI tool, Submittals, & Meeting tool throughout the course of the project. We also track drawing revisions using the drawings tool.
  • Meeting Mintues
  • RFI Log
  • Document Management
  • Photos Tool on the App
  • Procore Drive
  • Support Services and the Live Chat feature
It is well suited for those in the construction industry. Being able to have multiple employees connected to a central database is phenomenal because we can all see details and information in real time. It only takes a matter of seconds for someone else's documents, photos, change orders, etc. to show up for others to view.

I manage all aspects of projects on Procore. We input every contract job and work order. We utilize all tools in Procore and are integrated with Sage 300 CRE. Time tracking and material procurement are the most widely by all users. Our company has converted to a paperless payroll process and material procurement. Procore has solved several problems.
  • Manages Time Tracking and Exports to Sage 300 CRE
  • Organizes Drawings and Specs
  • Simplifies the Submittal Process
  • The Bidding Process Has Been Revolutionized
The mobile app is a huge benefit for field workers and foremen. They are able to view drawings and specs in the palm of their hand. Field workers, PMs, and office personnel can report their time on their mobile devices or via the web from anywhere.

Our company handles with Procore the entire issue of daily reports from the construction site, use of heavy equipment, entry of workers' hours, as well as the financial aspects associated with the project's subcontractors. For the purposes of contractual management of clients, the change events tool is also widely used to generate change orders.
  • Daily Logs
  • Changes Tracking
  • Photo Report
  • Financial Control
Procore is very useful for general/specialty contractor companies of any size, as it allows you to centralize the most common functions and tools of a construction project. It would perhaps not be recommended for companies that do not work with any standard coding scheme or system (such as CSI MasterFormat). It'll also depend on the tools that said company pretends to implement.

We use Procore to manage all of our construction projects in our CIP. So, on a daily basis, that largely involves submittals, RFIs, pay apps, change orders, and coordinating work between the construction team and the operations teams who need to continue to keep our facilities operational.
  • Well thought out and laid out tools
  • Quick and efficient resolution to issues
  • Keeping everyone on the same page
For any construction project worth more than, say, $100k, Procore makes the whole process more seamless, efficient and well-coordinated. For jobs smaller than that, I've found that the work involved in setting up the project often makes it more painful than it's worth. With that said, you can limit your setup by only using some of the tools on the project.

Overall, the product works well and has multiple features that can be used daily. Day to day accounting, meetings, daily logs, RFI's, submittals, etc. are all put together very well. I have found that the email to Procore feature is something I use often to keep legacy information during projects when trades do not communicate or upload information through Procore.
  • Exportation of any page whether it's meeting minutes, G702/703, budget, etc.
  • Single location for all change events
  • Ease of adding new users to any project
  • Customization of cost codes, templates, or contracts
  • Use of DocuSign integration is incredibly helpful
There isn't a platform that is as robust and relatively construction-friendly as Procore. The competition in this realm does not have the amount of functionality or it is too clunky in the other systems. For example, one competitor has WAY too many menus to click through and is not user-friendly. RedTeam, Buildertrend, Paskr, etc. cannot compete with the way this program operates.

We utilize Procore to manage multifamily and commercial construction projects. It helps us manage our contract documents, financials/job cost, scheduling, daily reporting, and procurement. It helps us provide a single source of truth to our field and partners while enabling faster and more accurate cost reporting.
  • Document control - easy to ensure most up-to-date is distributed while allowing version control and lookback.
  • Change management - Quick and accurate process to enact and manage change events with owners and trades.
  • Daily Reports - Easy to navigate and provide tons of useful information.
Procore is great for project management of medium to large-size construction projects. It is very useful for general and trade contractors alike. It would be hard to recommend for small contractors and small projects due to the complexity and cost of the software. Due to limitations on access, I would not recommend it for owners unless they are controlling the construction program in-house.

We spent over a year evaluating the platforms. Procore came out on top.

We are a plumbing contractor focusing on mid to large multifamily projects. We decided to put Procore in the hands of all our field team to get them better access to construction documents and streamline the communication process. We all handle multiple projects and Procore is allowing us to keep this organized and to host their daily progress notes in their specific jobs.

The ability to mark up drawings on the fly, create as-builts in the field, and write up RFI's and CORs are some of the reasons we decided to implement Procore for our company. We have used Procore for years, as provided by our GCs, but we are fairly new is a subscription for our company. The implementation team has been easy to work with and very helpful in creating priorities and strategies for getting off the ground quickly.
  • Plan Management
  • Daily Progress Reports

Procore seems to be suited for mid to large contractors involved in projects with a duration of a year or more.
I don't think it would be suited for the small contractor or one who focuses on remodels or tenant build-outs.
