Procore is used to manage changes issued by the general contractor with all the subcontractors. Any issuance of a CN, CCN, or RFI is sent out with document management control to submit change quotes or questions. Also, daily job task assignments are used to ensure documentation is uploaded daily to meet clients' requirements. Approved SCOs are issued, and contacts are managed through this program.
  • Document management.
  • Change Notice issuance.
  • Contract control.
The document control portion of Procore is fantastic. Once added, all users can see, manage, and review issued documents. The ability to see past project history is helpful as well, even when a project is complete. However, the password control (days between having to reset) is very narrow and time-consuming for someone who wants and needs to access the program for submittals.

We use Procore as a subtrade for most ICI construction projects we are on. Procore provides up to date access to changes on site between trades and GC that allow us the most accurate information at any given moment. This coordination allows for quick resolution of any interferences we have on site with placement of products.
  • Change Order Management
  • Upto Date changes on IFC Drawings
  • Library of all subtrade submittal documents for reference.
As a subtrade, where contracts are between ($200,000.00-$650,000.00) this system might not provide the most realistic return as the jobs go so quick from a subtrade point of view.

As part of the design team, I work with Procore under the general contractor for construction administration services. During construction, we used Procore for submittal reviews, RFI responses, meeting minutes, and notes, as well as to receive and download them, to name a few.
  • I can add recipients to notifications that go out for submittals and RFIs—not putting it into my court, but I can keep track of what is being sent and responded to.
  • Emails of when something has been put into my court and reminders of things in my court.
  • files system that is easy to follow.
Great for bigger projects. It is a bit overdone for smaller projects, but still helpful.

Procore has been a key pillar to simplifying our tasks. Helps us keep teams on schedule, stay within budget, ensure quality and maintain a safe work environment. It is highly customizable at purchase so we can choose the tools we need making it a good fit for any work we allocate it.
  • Has best user interface.
  • Outstanding customer service, training and ongoing technical support.
  • Straightforward pricing model.
Beyond just projects management, Procore includes daily logs to keep teams accountable, work-in-progress reports, to-do lists for creating and tracking action items, scheduling functionality and other collaboration features that help with efficiency and meeting deadlines. However, the reporting features need to be improved to make more effective and user friendly.

It works well to manage submittals, contract documents, specifications, and other forms pertinent to a specific job. It makes sharing these documents with members of different teams, subcontractors, and engineers easy. Since we have many projects going at once, it makes tracking things easier, and we can see who has viewed documents.
  • Integration with other applications.
  • Document sharing.
  • Reducing paper waste.
  • View documents onsite locations in real-time.
It works great for project management and putting all job-specific documents in one place. We are able to share drawings, submittals, and forms with our customers and subcontractors in a safe and reliable platform. However, getting reporting data is somewhat lacking, so if your business needs advanced options, you might try and find a better product.

As a technical project manager, I mostly use the field productivity tab. It helps me not worry about creating progress in Excel (formulas, you know how guys mess it up), and it saves me time not creating Excel progress. All project management tools are useful as well, e.g., observations. If guys are filling them out correctly, I can know what's on the site without leaving the office.
  • Progress.
  • All project specifics in one place.
  • Interface with power BI.
Procure is an excellent tool for general contractors. They can dedicate tasks to subcontractors and have a like Procure environment for splendid projects. When you are a subcontractor and have to work with your company tool, Procore, but also make progress in other tools, Procure becomes a bit of an overall kill.

Procore has changed and improved the way I manage jobs. It makes it so easy for me to upload pictures while looking at a job to quote quickly. It makes being able to manage bigger jobs much more efficient as well. I can look at drawings on the phone with employees and discuss issues. I can always make sure my guys have the most updated drawings. It's a great way to store all job site submittals and specs where they can be accessed by anyone needing them from anywhere. The Daily log/reports feature is handy for tracking job site progress and quickly reviewing past days if we have an issue.
  • User Friendly.
  • Great to organize jobsite info.
  • Easy to share files between everyone involved in a project.
  • All the info you need for the project with you at all times on you iPad.
  • Great to track daily progress.
Large-scale construction projects: Procore's comprehensive suite of tools, including project management, document control, and quality assurance, is ideal for managing complex and large-scale construction projects. It can handle multiple teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders effectively, ensuring smooth collaboration and efficient workflow. Projects with stringent compliance requirements: Procore's built-in compliance features, such as safety management and quality assurance modules, can help organizations meet industry standards and regulations. It provides a central platform for tracking and managing compliance documentation, reducing non-compliance risk.

I work for [...], an electrical tracing company, as a project engineer. I will look at other trade drawings, including architectural, electrical, mechanical, and Civil drawings. Procore is excellent at getting me from drawing to drawing with the embedded automatic links. This saves time very quickly. I also appreciate the submittal processes that are included in the application. The photos are a pretty big thing we use as well, and they are a dependable place to see what is accurately installed into the field.
  • Does well Emailing me (If i am subscribed to a project) to let me know when revisions have been updated.
  • Easy to navigate
  • Great at Allowing me as a project Engineer to Upload my drawings to Procore. Not a lot of steps, and very easy to do.

I'm setting up/uploading all initial job info/documentation, drawings, and specs for projects we're working on. I also upload drawing revisions and documents as need once a job is set up. It keeps me from entering duplicate information that may or may not have already been entered by someone else. It also makes it easier to find information once uploaded.
  • Accessibility.
  • Being able to separate drawing areas.
  • Search field within the drawings tool.
  • Notifies you of duplicate entry.
Procore having the drawing sections tool is very helpful for when a project has multiple buildings/areas, that way you aren't having to add any identifying characters to each drawing number and/or discipline to make it easily noticeable which building/area it goes with.

Being able to click on someone's email from within the project directory would be helpful.

Procore is extremely helpful with document control. For years we had folders in folders in folders full of drawings, specifications, addenda, etc., and it was always confusing because everyone had a different filing system. With Procore it has you use the issue date, received date, set name, drawing name, when you upload, which files everything based on date, so you aren't using the wrong documents to install work. A simple idea, but they execute it perfectly.
  • Document Control
  • Organization
  • Different Access Levels so Junior team members can't cause issues
Procore is well suited for use with document control and keeping documents, drawings, specifications, etc., organized. Procore is a little TOO detailed to use for something more "rough" like being using for estimating or "pre-construction" type activities, you have to put a little bit too much information in there for the proverbial "juice" to be "worth the squeeze".

Procore helps me daily on my large scale construction projects. We specifically track architectural supplemental info and for communicating with subcontractors. My favorite feature is the ability to create drawing sets that automatically add themselves to the current Plans in a smart and realistic way. Procore tracks exactly what page is being replaced automatically - and saves us many headaches.
  • Tracking
  • Workflow
  • Team Communication
  • Interdepartmental Communication

Procore is great for large scale projects. For smaller projects I would think something like Building Connected is better.

It is an excellent tool for project management that easily involves offline activities and syncs documents and tasks all in one place. If used on a regular basis, the projects are all managed from one place, which makes streamlining processes even simpler. Most of the time, it requires almost no training for teams to switch to Procore.
  • Project management.
  • Task control.
  • Feedback collection and management.
Easy implementation and reliable software are hard to come by in project management. It has intuitive file management and supports everything an organization can need. The Procore community is lively, and ideas and solutions are discussed. Updates and improvements only push us to use it more with time.

Before Procore we were a mostly paper shop. Using this application we are able to store and share information in a digital format. Managers can view in real time information from the field without constantly asking for updates. Also, anyone can lookup pictures and daily logs without asking others. This allows those numerous inquires to be filled without becoming larger projects.
  • Broad use cases
  • Daily logs
  • Pictures
  • Custom forms
Procore is well suited when there is an office staff to manage the application, if a company existed without an office staff then the field crews would have to maintain Procore. This could cause more problems than is solves. Otherwise having the ability to pick & choose different modules to suit our use cases is ideal.

We have been using Procore to manage all of our tracking from the prebid documents, bidding, RFI, RFPs, plans... everything that would have been tracked otherwise with excel spreadsheets for each topic.
  • Submittals
  • Drawings
  • RFIs
  • Daily Logs
  • Change Orders
  • Contracts
  • Bidding Lists
Procore is well suited for everything... honestly, I have had no issues with the software throughout my use. The one thing that I would recommend is a step-by-step scenario training for first-time users as they are doing something rather than having to watch videos and take quizzes, this could be more hands-on then studying about the different topics and then figuring it out on your own.

We use Procore daily for the submission of submittals, RFIS, daily reports, punch list, observations. We just started adding in the financials to the company to make use of that because often times RFIs or submittals come back with change events associated with them. We manage construction projects from commercial-residential to hospitals and even retail spaces. Because we are stretched throughout New England it helps our company stay organized and up to date on drawings and outstanding items. We really appreciate everything that Procore has done for our company to get it into the 21st century.
  • Team collaboration.
  • Up to date drawings on site.
  • Document organization is amazing!
I absolutely love Procore! It really does give that on-the-spot project organization and clarification on the project so that everyone is on the same page at all times. No documents are missed. You can adjust who you want to see the files. It's honestly a really good product!

Procore is a one-stop shop for my project management needs and is the first thing I log in to every morning. From submittals and RFIs to daily reports and change orders, everything is all in one place and accessible everywhere. The automatic email reminders for overdue items are especially helpful.
  • Document management
  • Ease of use
  • Time cards
  • Collaboration
  • Change Management
Procore is great for general contractors and construction managers, but would not be worth the cost for subcontractors. Many of the features would not be useful for subcontractors and the program is not designed for their workflow. Larger subcontractors with many tier subs could see some benefits, but there are likely better options.

Procore is a well suited app for having all your project documents in one place. Helping you with communication between project team, contractor, subcontractors and clients. It's Daily log tool is really good for keeping track of all the activities during the day and its new Field productivity helps you measure the real crew production on a day to day basis. It helps linking the financials commitments with the budgeted cost codes. It is less appropiate for linking with outside 3rd party programs such as SAP or Dynamics which could be of great help in the upcoming future having this capabilities.

We are using Procore as a subcontractor. We use it to review RFIs, bidding, and plans and upload pictures. We do commercial work, and our projects are pretty big. We do not have many problems with Procore; however, sometimes uploading large files takes some time, but that could be our Wi-Fi connection.
  • RFI's

Procore is well suited for RFIs and a variation of tracking. It allows for easy collaboration and correspondence tracking. You can keep a good trail of changes and documents and provide them when they are being questioned. It can be a bit complicated initially, but it is super easy once you get the hang of it.

Sorry, but in my opinion, Procore is rubbish and way overpriced for what it actually delivers, which for medium size builders managing projects from start to finish, is not very much. Sure, if you have a staff of hundreds where everyone has just one job, it might work but I doubt it. In my experience, it's the worst package I have ever used and worst service and support I have ever experienced. Do not waste your time with their sales garbage.
  • Insurance register worked ok, but no quicker than manually using Excel!

As of now Procore is the backbone of our firm. We use it for all aspects of construction. Starting with generating bid invitations and scopes. We then use a hybrid to receive bids due to our sub contractor base being technologically diverse. Once a project is awarded to us we then move to the Project management tools. In the filed we use daily log, RFI's, Observations, Safety checklists, picture albums and submittals. In the office all the submittals and reviews are pushed through Procore to ensure proper work flow and keep the project moving. We wrap up the project with the Punch list tool and the office closes the rest.
  • Emails
  • Drawing management
  • Submittal review
  • Bidding
Procore is a great piece of software for managing a construction project overall. It works great for the field but in our experience the office side is a bit cumbersome and confusing at times. It would be better to not update the modules without some advance notice and included technical support.

I use Procore as a project coordinator on residential construction sites. With Procore, I can communicate with all parties involved in the project and keep project documents organized. Procore helps with team communication, detailed documentation as well as ease of review of drawings and project specifications. Additionally, Procore helps manage tenders in a very efficient way. It gives access to recent design drawings and reviews. It also helps consolidate tenderers contact information.
  • Tender Management
  • Drawing Update Management
  • Administrative Organization
  • Communication Between Involved Parties
Procore is well suited for preconstruction and active construction management. It helps a lot with tendering, RFIs, viewing of drawings, organization of project documents, management of meeting notes and safety inspection documentation. Procore is also well suited for communication with project stakeholders.
Procore is not well suited to handle personal to-do lists or storing site progress photos. Procore is not well suited to compare bids received during tendering as it does not include any method of distinguishing between what each trade has accounted for in their submitted bid.
