Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

I personally prefer training sessions with an actual trainer and dedicated classroom time. I've had to learn a lot of Procore's functionality through chatting with the representatives (they're great), phone calls, and youtube tutorials.

A lot of the older generations are very skeptical of using Procore at first since they think it would be a waste of time and effort but Procore makes it really easy to understand and use most features. It does not take much software knowledge to do basic tasks like look at drawings, photos, RFI's, etc...

You should map out the implementation before starting. You need to have a team discussion and get complete buy-in on how to implement. Also, don't implement when your teams are already overloaded, it will cause project challenges.

ProCore - A no-brainer

Written materials and hands on training would have made the transition better. We were shuffled to many different implementation specialists and didn't have clear marching orders on who to reach out to and how to begin using the program in its full capacity.

Procore Does Almost All!

The integration process can be a bit time consuming in the beginning, in getting everything set up, but it pays off in the end in the time it saves everyday going forward. It is critical for the company / team members to fully embrace change at the outset. However, as was our case, people can still gradually get on board. Procore is user friendly in that way. No matter what stage someone jumps into the process they can quickly get up to speed on the operation of the system. It definitely helps if upper management embraces the integration. If upper management is resistant it's much more difficult to get the rest of the team on board.

It is important to get all parties to view the training and use the system. People that will not embrace the program are really missing out.

Taking the time to join the monthly product updates is also a big help. You can tell who is paying attention to the changes in Procore and who is not.

All those that have used it have become very familiar with its different applications is a short period of time after they start using Procore. it is very user-friendly and therefore required little to no training, this makes it very attractive to our company as we do not have to use time and monetary resources on training classes

The certification programs provided by Procore are a great way to get teams engaged and trained in a way that slowly builds on complexity. We have found that this is a successful way to integrate new and existing teams to a project on Procore.

My Perspective of Procore

Luckily for Procore, there are some very user friendly tools in the RFIs and drawings tools that make Procore very easy to implement for the masses in the field. For the more technical tools, as stated elsewhere in this review, the same pitfalls of functionality realized a decade ago are still a hurdle for this platform. Some are glaring and inexcusable. Especially given the pricetag of the platform. Procore offers a long duration of implementation, and while our implementation representative was attentive and competent, there was a lack of follow through and recording of ongoing issues. It was like every day was a new day, instead of keeping a running tally of outstanding items that needed to be addressed, and updating frequently on the status of such issues.

Procore is VERY knowledgable and if they don't know the answer to something they always found the answer for you. We had many scenarios in the beginning of implementation where we had a unique workflow that wasn't something "built into" Procore but they were able to find us a solution and get it implemented for us.

Did not feel like there was any training available (overview type) without going through a lot of work and time. Would be nice to have had an online video to watch when convenient with a general overview. In addition to that, the option of selecting specific areas where you needed help with a more detailed description.

Procore at its best

I believe Procore is not too hard to use but the process of uploading and retrieving information can become difficult at first with beginners. I believe it would be highly beneficial if training was provided on how to go about using special features and Procore to improve efficiency. Procore would be the way to go.

Due to the effects implementing Procore mid-project would entail, we chose to only implement Procore to new projects upon purchasing the program. Due to this, we had to hold several different training sessions with each team and throughout the company to refresh lesson taught over the course of 8 months.
