Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

The implementation went fairly smooth when consideration is given to the fact that we were completely changing all of our processes to best utilize Procore. There was a slight learning curve for using the software due to users not being technically inclined, but once the results became more apparent, our field employees committed to learning the new processes.

I would recommend having a set group of people spend the time learning it up front and troubleshooting the specifics of your organization before rolling it out. Stating those limitations or clarifications up front would yield a better reception of the new software.

As an implementation partner, I feel it is imperitive for companies to engage 3rd party implementation. The old adage of "you don't know what you don't know" holds very true here. Implementation partners do this for a living and can easily assess where additional efforts may need to be applied. We also assist in the heavy lifting and provide direction, ensuring not only a smooth implementation, but also an accelerated one. You have already purchased the software, so you want to get it going quickly to start seeing ROI.

I was not one that was specifically involved with the implementation, but I rated it a 9 because from more of a user of Procore after it was implemented, I feel as if things went smoothly and could tell the team that was tasked with implementation were in constant contact with Procore reps to guide them along the way.

Procore took the time each week to make sure we were implemented and understood how to use their software and all the features. They also have many training sessions that are free to help learn. Once I had a good understanding of the operation it was much easier to implement with the field.

Our end users complain about the quantity of emails and how confusing they are at times. I agree that this should be tested / made better! Just making the way the emails come across easier to follow and read would be a big change and would be welcome on my end!

Iron out your cost code list in your accounting software before you link with Procore. Once the link is established that list is more or less permanent.

Review the permission matrix carefully. It controls so much. You want to ensure the information provided to your users adequate but you also want to protect your sensitive data.

Procore Financials are organized in a total contract value style. Any markup or Profit will need to be sent somewhere on your budget. This may be significantly different than the Cost budgeting that many contractors do.

Make sure you know what you are getting into with the communication of Procore and your accounting system. Does your accounting system have an open API? If not, make sure you are willing and able to commit the time necessary to configure a way to get useable information out of Procore and into your software at the office.
