PROCORE!!!

At most of our client sites, we are unable to capture how multiple projects interact with Procore. It isn't set up to be a professional service and seems to be set up for general contracting.

Procore is fantastic for information gathering through the RFI and Submittal tools. This allows all approvals and requested information to be tracked and readily available at any time and by all people involved in the project. I think general emailing is easier through Outlook, although Procore does have a great tool for sending and receiving emails.

I think this works extremely well for the construction industry it was built for. It can be adapted for various other disciplines in the building industry as many people use it for budgeting separately from the construction department. It is extremely useful for far flung or remote teams.

Procore is great for people that jump between the office, field and home office. It is available as an app so can be used on my phone or my iPad. I enjoy the functionality and to date don't see any downsides to it. I would like it to remember/auto fill more areas instead of starting from scratch each time, the requisition and billing periods specifically.

Procore is well suited for onsite job staff to record and maintain project documents while allowing access to principles or anyone in the organization with appropriate permissions to check in from anywhere.

Procore probably isn't ideal for any type of residential construction. On large projects, documents drive the flow of work and Procore is terrific at making it extremely easy to put all of your documents in one place to keep track of them. However, in residential construction, documents are not as important as relationships. A large general contractor has much to gain from Procore, but smaller outfits probably don't need it.

We use Procore for all of our larger projects where there are plans, specifications, submittals, etc., as part of the contract documents. For smaller projects, say where a design discipline is not involved in the project or there are no submittals involved, we tend to not use Procore.

I use Procore from the standpoint of a project manager tracking my own projects, not as a tool to track overall company workload, and have found it to be very effective with respect to tracking on my own and interacting with the design team. I haven't found it to be as well suited for communicating and integrating subcontractors, mostly because they are not interested or able to use Procore effectively or invest the time to learn how to use it.

Procore really simplifies our company's process by combining different software all into one. This allows our office staff to have everything at their fingertips with one software and our techs to have access to all information from their app.

It's great for large general contractors as it's a great platform for centralizing information for an entire project. For smaller companies with fewer sub-contractors, it could be more of a hassle to run everything through the system instead of working directly with them. It's nice for connecting all involved parties on a big project.
