Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

I have definitely seen the benefits of using Procore and cloud-based access. If we have another guy show up to help run a job we just have to let the GC know the email of our guy and he has access to a multitude of information for that job site.

We have definitely benefited from the collaboration abilities of Procore. I have trained our subs to submit their shop drawings and submittals through Procore which has reduced the steps it takes to process them. I am sending RFIs through Procore which again allows me to keep all of the information in one place. When the designer responds, they put the answer right into Procore and nobody has to remember to log it. I also greatly appreciate the daily log functionality. If I am unable to get a report in person, I can always look up what happened on a particular day.

Depending on the project and Owner / Design Team, it's been a mix. Some use it well and others simply refuse. I have had some architects who refuse to use it, so things get generated thru Procore and then sent the old fashioned way thru emails. Then the info is backfed into Procore. Not as streamlined, but at least the organization can be maintained.

RFIs need to be able to have collaborative input. It appears that we are only set up to allow this to occur with submittals. Cloud-based access does allow our lenders, owners, subcontractors, etc. the ability to look at the same info and discuss it without everyone being in the same room. Lenders can review job site photos to verify work is in place, and design team and construction team members can review those same photos to generate solutions to problems. This works particularly well with 360 photos- assuming you don't use any iOS products.

Procore's cloud-based access allows us to easily communicate between out-of-state architects/engineers and traveling clients. Having access to the live set of current drawings, RFIs and Submittals, makes it easy for this communication to occur, even across multiple time zones, as we are all looking at the exact same information in the same format.

For the most part, the majority of our subs and vendors were not connected to Procore and didn't really want to be. So we had to manually input their info into Procore making our job a bit harder (since they would not do it). We found that it was just easier to use Procore with the few others that used it and go back to our old ways for all the others.

We have benefitted in all aspects. They allow us to communicate everything form the bid budget comments and scope right down to the close out documentations. This is all located in the same location, which makes it easy to get a hold of. That, of course, is if the cloud is up and running and we have access to it.

The cloud-based aspect did not provide as large of a benefit as expected for our company. We are a smaller operation, with most of our work being performed with a 20 mile radius. There was not total buy in from our internal management, and that caused problems.

Yes, we are constantly reminding new users from our line of work to utilize Procore and its capabilities. Having cloud based access help to distribute states submittal plans, architectural set, shop drawings, material procurement, and photos of the building. In the modular world, General contractors have many questions on scope of work and structural details. The picture tool helps us distribute a picture of other projects to new modular general contractors.

We do not utilize the collaboration functions to their full potential. The drive function doesn't operate as well as an alternative app (i.e. box or Dropbox) and we have been slow to adopt the direct email and approval processes through Procore.

Procore's ability to have the most up to date information available to all point of access is key. The office, field, and subcontractors are all working with the most recent version.

Every month we benefit from collaborations between owners, us, and contractors. Contractors do all their requisition in the commitments section. We then send them to Ownership who approves it or not. All data input and collaboration is done in Procore.
