Reviews
(126-150 of 825)- Document control is very good. It has allowed us to set up our file structures to be exactly the same for every user, every project, no matter if they are working on a one-off project in some far-flung location, working at one of our established program-level field offices, or working in the home office. The user experience is the same across the board.
- Standardizing business forms across all units is a nice side-benefit, too. It is not uncommon for field offices to have unique ways of doing things, sometimes for no better reason than "that is just how it has always been done here in _______!" Being able to have an organized, standardized template that pushes out to all "forces" all users to be consistent. This allows management to review documents much easier, as there aren't subtle differences to be sorted.
- While document handling is, in general, very good, it is the Drawings tools (and the related Punchlist and Inspections tools) that really shine. Those, along with photos (which can be easily linked/embedded in drawings) are game changers. The field always has the latest drawings, submittals, RFI's, ASI's, etc. at hand.
- ProCore has been very good at rolling out updates. That being said, the Financial reporting still has room for improvement. While it is not full-blown accounting, it has the potential to replace such at the Project Management-level. They have made improvements and will continue to improve, I believe, to make the financial tools better.
- Success has its downsides, and one potential weak point is that, as more and more users adopt Procore, it can be a challenge for the servers to keep up. It is not uncommon to get Loss of Service messages at peak times (end of the month, end of the year, etc). The outages haven't lasted for extended periods of time (usually an hour or less), but it IS a leap of faith to have Procore and the "cloud" your sole avenue for reaching your critical data.
- It would be nice to be able to easily modify certain forms. For example, we are a Federal contractor and must use very rigid government forms for simple things like submittals and daily reports. A greater degree of flexibility to modify the output of these forms/reports to meet our specific needs would be great. We have tried to utilize the "custom report/form service" that they offer, but have had mixed results. What we really want is the ability to modify the output how we need it.
What Are You Waiting For? Procore All the Way!
- Timecards: A MUST if you are currently manually entering time into a software program that integrates with Procore. The field can enter all of their time, and their crew's time, and then a file is created that gets uploaded into your accounting software (ours in Sage 300).
- Daily Logs: The field can fill out a daily log that gets distributed to the PMs and Superintendents so they can monitor what is going on with their projects. This helps them see where the project is at as well as any issues that may arise.
- Drawings: Drawings are a must. We have multiple revisions as the project goes on and the field folks are able to see each and every one of them if they need to or just see the most current revision of each as a complete drawing set.
- The highest on our list of wants/needs would be to integrate Procore with the GCs and specialty systems. There is currently a lot of double work that tends to happen because these two systems do not talk.
- T&M Tickets: Many times a T&M ticket will span more than one day. Right now, the tool is set up for only a one-day job. It would be really nice if we could track time and materials for multiple days on one ticket.
Procore - A Pretty Solid Choice
- RFIs are clearly listed and readily available with accountability for all parties.
- Automated tracking of when submittal reviews are due allows us to easily know our deadlines.
- Reports and Logs could be more easily accessed.
Procore Review
- Meetings/Meeting Minutes - These are incredibly easy to use and set up to be very neat and quick in their creation.
- Mobile Drawing Access - This is great as when drawings are updated on Procore they are automatically updated on the mobile devices.
- Drawing Revisions - Getting updated drawing sets has never been a quicker or easier process than it is with Procore.
- Quality Control - The quality control tools while thorough can be a bit slow to create and manage in the field.
- Creating Inspection Checklists - This can be time-consuming. I wish there was a way to import checklists or to copy sections or questions.
- Drawing mark ups - Procore's drawing mark up capabilities are very basic and rudimentary and I feel there is room for improvement.
- Drawings/drawing comparison
- QC inspection/tracking
- Locations
- Daily logs
- Submittals
- Punch list needs some work.
- Emails to connect to outside integration.

Procore Review
- Data organization
- Mobility and availability of information
- Accessibility for internal and external organizational users
- Platform updates are not always the best for all users
- Becomes slower throughout the day as more users are online
- We use the drawings tool to manage our drawings. It keeps them organized and gives a detailed trail of revisions.
- We use the specifications tool to manage our specifications. It keeps them organized and gives a detailed trail of revisions.
- We use the RFI tool to manage our RFIs. It keeps a good record of all the RFIs throughout the project and the architect can respond within ProCore to answer the RFIs.
- I would like to see some more development in the Bidding module. It needs to be more robust with bid tabulations from subs and better tracking on who will be submitting proposals. We currently use a different system for bid management.
- I would like to be able to add more than one set of specifications.
- The tasks module needs more functionality. We currently use a different system for our task management. It would be nice to be able to have it all in Procore.
Best Job management system!
- Procore keeps everyone informed with the most up to date information.
- Procore monitors the health of projects financially as well as other areas.
- Procore provides a single place for everyone to get all the job information needed.
- Provides excellent job documentation and record keeping.
- Recently released 3 week look ahead and how it integrates with the schedule - I wish there were separation between the two so that they can operate independently.
- Wish there were better ways of quantifying unit pricing for our civil side - so that there could be more accurate information.
- I wish Procore had a stronger time card integration which included an HR portion and pay stubs, as this would help us eliminate the need for more work and extra software programs.
Fantastic Product for Design and Construction
- Procore has a very intuitive and uncluttered interface.
- It's very versatile and is accessible on the web, desktop app, and mobile app
- It's powerful and well-rounded, handling almost all aspects of a project (design, construction, close out).
- It would be nice to mark-up drawings in the app (similar to Bluebeam).
It's okay
- Organize files.
- Focus more on "pretty" than "functional" with updates like pale pastel colors that can be seen in the field.
Procore keeps my team faster and lighter in the field
- Organization
- Project Management
- Interactive
- More customization
- Financial Management has a lot of room for improvement
Great product with great support
- Sage Integration
- Accurate and up to date budgeting
- Great Tec support
- Budget tool can be challenging to set up
- Very layered program takes a while to learn to navigate
- No digital signatures yet
Is Procore for you?
- Procore allows users to easily access all the drawings and specs for a project.
- Procore has multiple integrations with other software packages that allow users to use the application within the Procore platform.
- Procore allows users to assign tasks, submittals, rfi's, etc to a specific person and automates the reminders until the item is closed out.
- Procore needs to allow more integration features with Vista.
- Procore needs to allow project specific forms instead of having all forms at the company level.
- The Procore mobile app needs full access to the financial tools instead of requiring users to use a web browser to access it.
Procore....you wouldn't be without it!
- Drawing management.
- Quality assurance (Inspections).
- Reporting.
- Budgets.
- Specifications tool could be more user friendly.
- Its integration with ERP is not as comprehensive as we would like.
- Equipment tool is in its infancy and needs work.
Procore!
- Tracking Submittals.
- Comparing Drawing Updates.
- Notifying users regarding open items.
- Change Orders are difficult to edit after becoming PCCO.
- Revised submittals keep the original submission date automatically.
- Workflows for Submittals should be able to have different due dates for different parties.
Procore Review
- Submittals
- RFI
- Drawings
- Better app for Surface
- More access off of phones
- Automatically link to updated drawings
Procore makes my job easier
- Procore allows easy organization and review of material submittals and shop drawings.
- Procore has flexible features for creating and resolving punch list work.
- The mobile app for Procore is the easiest and fastest way to view drawings and details.
- The submittal sorting tool has some glitches.
- The material delivery tracking portion of the submittal sub field needs to have more flexible options. For example, the anticipated delivery date is calculated and assumes the material is released as soon as the submittal is closed. In reality, there is time required to review the submittal comments, make adjustment to the shop drawings or submitted product, or even time to field measure the material before releasing to fabrication.
Procore for project and communication management
- Reminding every user what ball is in their court. This helps you keep track and not fall behind.
- Assign tasks to every user. You can do so within most of the tools.
- Manage different permission templates. They can be very detailed and that's good.
- Some tools are missing some very basic options that can be frustrating on your day-to-day tasks. For example, you have to search names with accents, otherwise, they won't show up.
- Support can underestimate its users, sometimes you expect a deeper answer and you get just a basic one.
- It could have some help bubbles around the tools. Sometimes things are not clear and you just don't want to go read the manual, so a help bubble would come in handy.
Procore - The Overall Package
- Unlimited users - allows you to share as much or as little information with all involved in a project. Access is controlled by granular permissions templates.
- Support - There is always someone available to answer questions and the training videos are informative.
- Document control - We have found the drawing tool and its functionality a fundamental tool onsite.
- Site diary and photos tools - again these tools have become fundamental in our project delivery through their ease of use.
- Progress Claims. The format of the progress claim could be improved especially around entering cash retentions. We find this function could be improved upon.
- Timesheet approval and allocation to cost codes. This can become time consuming task when your staff are working across multiple projects in one week.
- Variations - The process of entering variations both for the Head Contract & Subcontracts could be streamlined. A lot of process required to prepare a variation.
Keeping it real
- Innovation. Procore continues to update the platform, providing new features.
- Integration. Procore seems to be focused on integration with 3rd party developers that can enhance Procore's operation with off-platform product integration.
- Support. I've never had a bad experience with their support personnel. There have been times when they were not able to resolve my issue, but they have always tried their best and invested as much time as I needed.
- Maintenance. In its quest for innovation, Procore has either let some basics slide or actively eliminated some basic features, leading to a lack of efficiency.
- Suggestions. I have seen items on the Feedback Forum that have a ton of upvotes but Procore either continues to ignore or states that they will not develop.

Procore: A Great Tool for Construction Pros
- Ability to customize reports for sharing and distribution.
- Ability to manage outside collaborators and control what information they have access to.
- Overall flexibility which offers different ways of entering and tracking information.
- Mass emailing capability, which is great for soliciting pricing or sharing important announcements.
- Great customer support and feedback.
- The Procore app is still missing some features that are only available on the desktop version.
- The invoicing function within the Financial Management module would be more user-friendly if it was possible to edit the formatting and customize it more to match specific requirements.
- Deleting old, outdated, or duplicate contacts from the Directory can sometimes require multiple steps that seem unnecessary.
