What is Profit?

Profit.co provides an enterprise-class SaaS application for companies to define,manage and execute their goals. Companies and teams can define their goals as OKRs and manage their collaborative execution through the full life cycle of OKRs. Quarterly goals (OKRs) can be broken down to daily “Tasks'' and managed through its “Task management” application. Profit.co also provides “Employee Development” and “Employee Engagement” modules to facilitate the people processes in achievement of goals. It also comes with over 400 pre-defined KPIs and also allows users to define their own custom metrics based on personal or business-specific goals.

We wanted a tool that will help us to show the employees the bigger picture and how each department is influencing our objectives. Besides the picture we wanted to measure the progress of each department according to the goals they set. Profit.co turns out to be a good solution for that, you have a lot of features where you can set objectives and measure them via KPIs. Link the team objectives to the department level and then to the corporate level or vice versa. It might look complicated in the beginning but you get used to it.

  • Integrated an employee performance review that van be used for HR and other metrics
  • Have an easier way to extract data from the API to our database
It is good for companies that want to have clear Objectives, where they describe how they will achieve them and will track the progress. If used properly it can significantly improve the company's productivity and the employees' understanding of where the company is going. This platform will find its customers in companies that are oriented towards efficiency and are willing to invest some time and effort to understand how their departments are working. Thus, reflect on how you can improve things.

Profit is more complex, if you want to have more than just objective management then Profit.co might be for you. You când ad the employee's performance, have surveys, reviews, chat, and give rewards. Take into count more features, and more time needed to adapt, but most of the time it's worth it.

  • Cross communication between departments is good.
  • Visibility to others OKRs is good.
  • Customization is good.
  • Navigation can get really tricky sometimes.
Profit.co is well suited, in my experience, for the managing and tracking of OKRs. Other than navigation sometimes being tricky, Profit.co offers a very wide range of customization that can really lend itself to great communication which is known to be a real struggle in most organizations.
  • Being able to manager your own OKRsq
  • The hierarchy model for entering OKRS (Company > Department > Management > Employee).
  • The jury is still out but our company really anticipates OKRs having a very large impact on the bottom line. And with the ability to more closely monitor OKRs than say, a google sheet, there is a real upside expected.

Our organization is using it across all departments by the department managers. We rolled it out to our leadership last year and plan to cascade it to the rest of the organization using performance management functionality as well.
  • Easy to use
  • Has many off the shelf templates and metrics
  • Easy to customize
  • Would like to be able to edit dates after first check in
  • Some of the metrics seem a little counter intuitive
  • Would like email reminders
