Projectplace is a great option for our team because it helps us keep track of everything that we need to get done on a daily basis and on a project basis.
  • I love that they offer different ways to organize things such as to-do lists, kanban boards, etc.
  • It lets you assign tasks to team members in order to keep track of the things that need to be done.
  • I like that it offers document management and document storage, etc.
  • It makes complicated projects simpler by breaking down what tasks need to get done and when.
  • Kanban board functionality could definitely be improved.
  • Extra charge for the Gantt chart and for other features.
It is well suited for teams that are remote and need a space to be able to collaborate and work together and manage projects.

Disclaimer here - we did a 30 day demo of the full version when trying out many project management platforms and wanted to exhaustively test the forms/intake requests and project management features for managing multiple departmental areas. We were using it just for our department. Just our campus location and we set it up exclusively in English (not sure if other languages are supported).
  • Request forms are adequate and customizable
  • Supports multiple views
  • Has calendar/meeting space/zoom integration
  • Kanban boards took a while to figure out how to add files, custom tags, etc.
  • The documents pane could use better organizational tools
Looks like it can handle a wide variety of workflows. [It] has a ton of tools and includes communication built in (messaging/Zoom video). If you have the time to configure it properly it could be extremely powerful.

Planview Projectplace is a great project management software with the least learning curve when compared to other applications in the industry and it's very cost-effective. It's easy to implement and migrate existing projects into the platform effortlessly.
  • Cost Effective
  • Easy Implementation
  • Least learning curve
  • Interface is not very intuitive.
  • UX needs to be improved.
  • Needs more SSO options
This is a great project management tool when compared to other services available in today's market. Highly recommend any customer who is looking for a project management application to test out the application before you finalize the purchase on another product.

We use planview to organize and track the company's backlog. In other words, it tracks upcoming construction project opportunities. We track the projects based on the select markets that we specialize in (healthcare, senior living, education, or commercial specialty) and then rate how confident we are that a certain project will be ours (nurturing, speculative, moving to construction). It is used across out entire orginization. We only focus in the United States in the English Language.
  • Customization to fit our needs
  • Organizes data well
  • Multiple ways to view data/reports effectively
  • Allow for further customization based on our company needs
  • We have struggled sharing some of the reports properly - formatting
  • More webinars or newsletters that highlight new features
I think that planview projectplace is a great software program that our company uses. We primarily use it to track our backlog for upcoming construction projects and it does a fine job in doing so. It also allows us to view or share important reports for both tracking as well as informational purposes. It has been a solid investment.

Planview was evaluated and selected for a client of ours to manage and drive the enterprise project management office (ePMO). It was implemented across all departments in the organization and served as the basis for approving, funding, and tracking all of the projects tied to their strategic plan. It was used as the golden source for all reporting as well.
  • Basic project planning (Schedule, Gannt, etc)
  • Resource allocation
  • Portfolio scenarios
  • GUI / Look and feel
  • Financial reporting
Portfolio management and strategic planning are some of the areas where we find Planview to be ahead of the competition. It truly has all of the bases covered thus reducing the need to turn to other products to fill in the gaps. The inclusive and balanced approach of the product suit makes getting onboard in small incremental steps very easy and manageable.

Planview has almost everything we need to complete daily tasks and manage group projects. The integrated Kanban boards and communications tools make it easy to plan team projects and collaborate on documents.
  • Sharing team tasks and visualizing the flow of work.
  • Team members are able to stay in control of their commitments.
  • Optimization of business flow.
  • Requires an expert to onboard new users.
  • It is priced per user which can get expensive quickly.
It is a good work and resource management software that is capable of addressing the requirements of mid-market to global enterprises. You only need to have a technical team on the ground to help in onboarding new users.

Projectplace is being used for a day to day project activities tracking. We use it for Gantt charts, tracking internal and external spends and resource allocation. It is used by multiple teams across the department. For now it is being used in one single location and English is the only language that is being used in.
  • Track day to day activities associated with a progress of a project.
  • Internal and external spend reconciliation.
  • Resource allocation planning and more.
  • Like I mentioned in my previous point, integration has not been a successful activity.
  • Also I did fail during some reconciliation of expenses and the settings of round up might have been an issue.
  • I was at time unable to export data into an Excel sheet. The reason might be that I did not select the right settings, so the final result was a bit away from the expectations.
I would surely recommend PV to a colleague given the ease of following traditional project management guidelines along with agile and scaled agile methodologies.
Team collaboration has also been an amazing experience with PV. The goal creation and tracking every team individual commitments has shown an increase in team efficiency by almost 80%.

Used primarily on my team for project management. It helps us create interactive project plans and timelines, including Gantt charts. It is used across a large portion of our organization by multiple teams. It's used across multiple hospitals in our health system. We only have employees in the United States and only English is used.
  • Kanban board layout for projects
  • Building a project plan gantt chart that can be edited easily
  • Easy to communicate with other users within the tool
  • Fewer email notifications for users who have been added to a workspace
Well-suited to strategic project management and staying organized as a team (assigning and tracking work). Not as well-suited for running a meeting and keeping an agenda, minutes, etc. I find that people working on projects with me where I use Planview Projectplace are happy to let me create the project plan in Planview Projectplace and keep track of progress there, but they don't always want to be added to the workspace themselves and get into the tool or receive notifications from the workspace.

Senior project managers use this application to manage tasks, budget, smartly use limited resources and eventually make important project decisions. Users share tasks and visualize project progress on Kanban boards while moving cards across columns that are connected to an activity at the Gantt chart.
  • Gantt-centered planning approach
  • Strategic road-mapping
  • Sharing project progress with dashboards and visualizations
  • Supports team collaboration during creation and execution of plans
  • The reporting system is not flexible enough the way we would like it to be
We use this application to deliver products faster, enhance business outcomes and support corporate strategic objectives.
Performs well in agile team costing, value stream planning and alignment, and also lean budgeting.

Planview Projectplace is a workload and project management platform that we use in our organization to measure and manage the progress of projects under implementation and ensure completion on set timelines. The platform is available for use across our departments, and they are at liberty to use it in implementing their projects on time without many hurdles. It's accurate and has helped us eliminate the business problem of relying on manual methods in project implementation.
  • Hastens the process of tracking and implementing the projects elevating their completion.
  • Helps in simplifying the intricate process of project planning and implementation for better usage.
  • The vendor offers reliable customer support services enabling intuitive usage across board.
  • Sometimes it's affected by poor internet connections delaying its perfect usage.
Planview Projectplace is insightful and fits well in a scenario where a company aims to amplify and automate the process of project management and ensure that the process is successful and achieved on time. It's intuitive and offers a simple dashboard for accessing all the project functionalities from the web anywhere anytime.

Planview Projectplace is being used at a small scale in the organization at this time, there are significant efforts of sharing it within the organization to promote adoption as a part of the Flex program. It addresses a more Agile approach for Project Management, collaborating, and managing work items for the Business community vs the IT community. The app is used in English and within a few departments within the organization thus far.
  • Kanban Boards
  • Collaboration through the boards and cards
  • Sharing of documents via a Public Link/Space
  • Easier to manage tasks/activities as a Resource/Contributor
  • Ability to be used in a Agile approach
  • Enhancement of the Costing piece, you should at least be able to add your resources and expenditure and get a calculated estimated budget
  • Financial - basic - at least cost based on effort
  • Better Reporting within the tool like the Leankit reports
I already do this with my current job, sharing and demoing the product, how to use it and the benefits.

We have tried out Projectplace for a subset of projects in our company and find it very useful for project and portfolio management. It makes it easy to define and follow up projects, both within a single project and with a portfolio view. We have tried it for different types of projects (R&D, IT, HR, and more) and used it all across our organization and locations. It supports the Norwegian language.
  • Share documents with access groups and control.
  • Providing project templates and document templates.
  • Customization of status reports and portfolio reports.
  • The desktop plug-in might cause some trouble for new users.
It's easy to set up and get running, it's easy to customize and we can grow with the solution. We have started with the basic functions for a project and will extend the use as we get more complex projects over time.

We are just using the Gantt calendar. Is useful to share with the team and upper management. Every team can interact with its own projects and the management people can have a global view.
  • Is web-based so you don't need to install anything.
  • It's very easy to manage it. It has no complex functionalities, straight to the point.
  • You can choose to use just one part of its many functions: Gantt or boards but you can use more available functionalities as you need to.
  • Simplified/compact view of Gantt diagram.
  • Is a little bit fragile: one click and you are moving a task or dates. It could be useful to have an edit view and a read-only view, or at least a rollback changes option.
  • A task view of the Gantt with the comments. The comments are a little bit buried inside the Gantt.
Well suited: light usage (vs. tools such as MS Project), not very big teams or very long projects. Less suited: If you need to integrate with corporate tools such as time tracking.

Presently we are using ProjectPlace to manage our most strategic initiative along with exploring for day to day project use. We have also begun to look at the platform for idea management in addition to product management.
  • Communications
  • Easy to use
  • Priced Right
  • Dates being in EU format
  • Report outputs
Not likely the best tool for enterprise organizations looking for a full PPM system

We are a single company using the product, but our team is all over the United States. We currently use Projectplace to manage the workflow of our publications across the editorial and the design departments. The cards and boards in Projectplace help us stay organized, on track, and gives us a great visual to see where each department and feature stands throughout the production process. The ability to assign cards to different users, leave notes, and start brainstorming conversations in each workspace is extremely beneficial and no other project management interface compares to that visual organizational aspect.
  • The boards are great for organizational purposes- and the visual aspect and drag and drop functionality is easy and efficient.
  • Creating different workspaces within our organization is a huge benefit of using Projectplace since we are a two-sided company (publishing and marketing/branding).
  • The card system is brilliant and makes moving along magazine elements from editorial to design departments flawless.
  • Some of the different views/stats seem a little cumbersome and overcrowd the dash
  • In a recent update the ability to drag and reorganize cards in the My Overview setting went away. The Group by dropdown is helpful, but I wish I was still able to rearrange the cards within each workspace/due date/etc.
  • With how I use Projectplace there aren't really a lot of cons!
It is well suited for inter-department communication and organization. Whether for handing off pieces of a project (in my company's case magazine departments/features from editorial to design) or seeing the full scope of what is at which stage (using the bards).

We are using Planview Projectplace as a file sharing and collaboration site. It helps us share information between companies in on place. It is designed to be used for our project team and the customer. To my knowledge, the only language being used is English.
  • Planview provides many different ways to share information.
  • Planview is customizable to the project.
  • Planview is easy to use.
  • Plan view allows any type of naming convention allowing for everyone to upload things This can cause disorganization.
  • It can be difficult to find things if the plan rooms have all been set up in different spots.
I believe it is well suited for construction, and file sharing. However, it can feel clunky when it comes to uploading items and organizing things. It is helpful that you are able to upload so much information to one site, but it seems that things could potentially get lost easily if an organization is not set up well from the get-go.

We are using Projectplace as a platform for project management (development of large rad infrastructure) and general support for collaboration within our organization. It is used by 80+ project managers and 800+ employees and dozens of teams in 30+ locations.
  • Collaboration.
  • Project management.
  • Document management.
  • Large organizations.
It is very suitable for project management and team collaboration, and less suitable for collaboration as the platform is complex for project teams or collaboration environments without a proper plan-driven agenda.

Projectplace is a great tool for team collaboration. First we tried to use the tool within one department to see how it works. For other departments we used another tool. Now we are integrating Projectplace in the other departments as well as for communication and collaboration between our multiple offices, because we like how it works.
  • Gantt chart functionality is awesome.
  • Very user friendly.
  • Pricing options are not flexible.
  • Reports are not as visual as I'd like them to be.
Planview Projectplace is well suited for both small and big organizations who would like to improve the efficiency of internal and external team collaboration processes. Not very well suited for those who need lot of clear and visual reports, because the reporting system of Planview Projectplace needs to be improved a bit.

We use it as a Project Management tool to supplement our existing team of project managers. While we used to use it to track hours, currently it's only being used as a place to store creative briefs and the documents the creative team produces to execute on those briefs. It is an integral part of the creative process.
  • It allows easy sharing of documents.
  • Has a robust commenting system.
  • I enjoy that it has a Scrum board.
  • It's a little difficult to follow some conversations. The threading could be better.
  • Downloading documents isn't intuitive
It is well suited for internal and external creative agencies where quick access to PDFs and Word docs is required. It makes collaboration between creatives and the stakeholders they serve super easy and all that jazz. It's really amazing, and I hope my organization doesn't attempt to switch to another software.

  • Data storage

It's a tool we are evaluating in the department. It addresses the full view of ongoing projects across business areas and resource availability. The product is used in other parts of the company at different levels. We use only the Swedish language but our company has multiple European sites.
  • Planning
  • Task allocation
  • Portfolio management

We are using Projectplace as a coordination and management tool among the different partners of a European project, both from industry and academia. Here, at Instituto de Telecomunicações, Projectplace is being by our group only in the context of this international project, and we only use English as the official language.
  • A set of different tools to manage meetings, documents, members, Gantt charts, etc. all integrated into the same framework.
  • Document version control.
  • Desktop application to locally store and update files.
  • A meeting platform functionality, such as GoToMeeting or Skype for Business, would be very valuable.
  • The possibility to integrate with other platforms, like software development tools or repositories (GitLab), would be nice.
  • Maybe a collaboration hub similar to Slack would be useful.
It's a very great tool for project management, especially in an international scope. Maybe for small scale local projects it's not the most appropriate tool, but maybe I am wrong, since I've never used for that scenario. In any case, for project management and collaboration with other international partners, Planview Projectplace is a fantastic framework.

Used for cooperation with outside consultants. It's used companywide at a single location, in both Dutch and English.
  • Document management, managing different versions, and there's no more emailing documents.
  • Task management through cards.
  • Overview of tasks on different projects.
  • Notification management, there's no need for standard emails when someone likes a comment.
Suited to larger projects with a lot of different participants, such as consultants from outside companies. It's extremely flexible, so different types of project approaches are possible. It's not as good for smaller projects with fewer participants as it's quite expensive. Companies with lots of different projects will benefit from Projectplace as a tool.

  • Document storage and organization
  • Operating systems compatibility
  • Support for more browsers
  • Offline cache
Planview is great for big teams when they are not working in close contact. It is great to organise information and manage projects.
