Proposify has proven to be a valuable tool for users across various industries, offering a range of use cases that have streamlined the proposal creation process. Users have praised the platform for its ability to create and customize proposal templates quickly and accurately, resulting in significant time savings and improved proposal quality. The sales department, in particular, has found Proposify beneficial for delivering dynamic proposals and creative decks to customers, even in remote settings. Collaboration on proposals is made easy with Proposify's features, allowing for easy tracking of progress and providing a centralized dashboard for uniformity and progress monitoring.

Proposify's versatility extends beyond traditional proposals, as it is also used for various agreements and contracts such as independent contractor agreements, NDAs, project agreements, and project contracts. These documents can be created with professional-looking templates that are customizable to each user's specific needs. Additionally, Proposify enables the hosting of videos directly within proposals, enhancing the presentation of ideas.

Small businesses have recognized the value of Proposify in creating customized proposals quickly and accurately tracking their pipeline. By replacing chaotic systems of creating and tracking proposals, Proposify offers a library of reusable information snippets and streamlines the approval process. The software has become an integral part of business development teams' workflow, facilitating the drafting, revision, and finalization of statements of work with clients. It also assists in tracking project scope, compensation details, and deliverable timings.

Web design agencies have found Proposify particularly useful for sending proposals and contracts to clients. They can start from saved templates and make adjustments as needed to meet specific client requirements. The software allows for visually appealing proposals that track views and interactions while facilitating online signing.

Proposify also caters to companies aiming to present services clearly with a professional layout that eliminates misunderstandings and improves the chances of securing new business. Its pre-designed templates cover different industries and combine marketing plans with legal documents into all-in-one documents. Users appreciate the software's ability to track proposals through the process and facilitate electronic signatures.

While users have reported positive experiences with Proposify, some challenges have arisen. Occasionally, fitting all content on each page has proven difficult, and glitches have been encountered. However, loyal customers have remained with the company for years, demonstrating their commitment despite these issues. One area where users have expressed frustration is the limited window of only 5 days to download and archive proposals after the agreement ends. This policy has been perceived as a waste of time and an inconvenience for users.

Users have also utilized Proposify to build various marketing materials and business collateral. The software's real-time updates have been highly appreciated, allowing users to see changes immediately and collaborate more effectively. Despite its strengths, some challenges have been reported by users. For instance, fitting all the content on each page can be difficult at times, leading to occasional formatting issues. Additionally, a few users have encountered glitches while using the platform.

One point of contention among users is the company's policy of only allowing a 5-day window to download and archive proposals after the agreement ends. This limited timeframe has been viewed as a waste of time and an inconvenience for users who prefer to store their proposals for longer periods.

Overall, Proposify has demonstrated its value across industries and departments. From creating customized proposals quickly to tracking progress and facilitating collaboration, the software has become an essential tool for businesses of all sizes. While there may be some areas for improvement, users appreciate the professional experience it offers recipients and the time-saving benefits it provides in the proposal creation process.

Users consistently recommend the following actions when using Proposify:

  1. Try out Proposify for free and take advantage of its time-saving and valuable features for virtual signing and client engagement.
  2. Spend time learning how to set up templates correctly for maximum efficiency. This includes planning out the implementation of templates, customizing them, and creating detailed templates for time savings and maximizing productivity.
  3. Consider integrating Proposify with CRM/accounting applications, Zapier for marketing automation, and Salesforce for easy access to old terms. Users also recommend customizing the design of templates in Proposify and integrating it with other software solutions. Additionally, users advise connecting with customer support for assistance, as they offer excellent service.

By following these recommendations, users believe that Proposify can significantly improve client engagement, save time, create professional proposals, and provide a game-changing sales tool for small to medium-sized businesses.

We use Proposify for client contracts and project proposals. Proposify makes it easy to implement, and the experience for the person receiving it is very professional. It's easy for them to sign and makes a strong impression. On the back end, it makes tracking proposals easy for us. The whole system is well thought out and easy to use.

  • sending proposals
  • signing proposals
  • The edit interface when creating proposals or templates has improved over the years but still has room for improvement. It could be more intuitive.
We use proposals for client contracts. They are several pages long with a lot of legalese. We also use them for NDA contracts with clients. Mainly we use Proposify for client project proposals. The proposals include description, main project points, price, timing, scope, process, cost, and everything the client can expect. I like that we were able to design a custom cover for our proposals. Proposify does one thing very well and that is proposals. I like that it doesn't try to be everything.

We use Proposify for all of our pitches and quotes. We have templates set up for different sectors and clients so it’s quite easy to customize our pitches across the company whilst still keeping everything on brand and looking professional. We’re a video production agency, so being able to host videos directly in the proposals is also useful.
  • Templates
  • Video hosting.
  • Signing documents.
  • Analystics
  • The document design system.
  • Tables within documents.
  • Crashes
It’s great for what it’s designed for, pitching. Where it falls down slightly is in the design aspects, if the document-building side of the process was better it was the perfect pitching platform.

Our company used Proposify for creating proposals for years - at least 4 years, but I believe since they opened. We send out many proposals like most companies do. How is it that when we decide to change platforms they force us to manually download each proposal and all of our Client data, one client and one proposal at a time? That's absolutely ridiculous! We are allowed to bulk delete records, but they can't build in a feature to allow previous clients the option to bulk download. Here's where it gets really frustrating: They immediately delete everything the moment your agreement is up. That gives us, in this particular case ONLY 5 DAYS to download hundreds of proposals and archive them ourselves. Such a huge waste of time and a completely petty and spoiled way to act as a company. They lost any hope of us coming back, ever. I would rather snail mail agreements at this point with how frustrated I am with Proposify. Proposify is not a good option. We stayed with them for years while they worked out bug after bug - we were loyal and complained very little if at all.
They force users to manually download each proposal and manually transfer customer data: one client and one proposal at a time. That's absolutely ridiculous! They also immediately delete everything the moment your agreement is up. That gives people almost no time to download hundreds of proposals and archive vital legal agreements - that should be illegal. Do not trust this company with your information. I also suspect anyone who works there can read your proposals, making security a big concern.

If you want a professional solution for document generation, Proposify is not it! I hope this review reaches at least one forward-thinking business owner who can avoid the massive frustration caused by not having the option to export our data in bulk. Never will use them again.

Proposify is currently being used by all of our team's Media Project Managers to galvanize and standardize our sending of estimates to potential clients. It makes it easy for our remote team to have uniformity across the various estimates we use, and allows us to track the progress of each estimate from a centralized dashboard.
  • TEMPLATES: The ability to work from customizable yet standardized templates allow for a consistent end-user experience for our clients, and elevates the perceived professionalism of our sales team.
  • ANALYTICS: Unlike merely sending estimates or proposals via email, the tracking analytics available within Proposify's dashboard not only enables our project managers to more strategically engage with clients, but also gives our upper management an objective way to track the effectiveness of our sales team.
  • EASE-OF-USE: Overall, Proposify's platform is easy to use and the UX is intuitive enough that the learning curve to use it is minimal.
  • CUSTOMIZATION ADDITIONS: While there are lots of customization options available, there is still plenty of room for additional integrations and customization options to be added.
  • GLITCHY CONTROLS: While the user interface of Proposify's design feature is fairly intuitive, some of the controls are prone to be glitchy, often requiring a refresh of the page or other clunky work-arounds.
  • PRICING FLEXIBILITY: In addition to the standard three package options, I would like an "a la carte" option that would allow me to adjust the base price depending of which features I would like to add/remove.
Proposify is well-suited for sales teams that find it important to have consistency across proposals, while still allowing for some slight customization from user to user. Plus, with the addition of tracking and success analytics, it provides a powerful dashboard for upper management to gauge the effectiveness of overall tactics of the sales team.

Proposify is a great tool to create custom proposals that look nice for the client and are easy to create from the user's perspective. This will definitely move you away from the same old contracts and proposals! If you are creating proposals from scratch, get Proposify and you will be amazed!
  • Visual proposals made simple
  • Integration into CRM
  • Integration into Salesforce CPQ was lacking
Proposify is a great tool for a company with a standard proposal or contract that they are using in a pdf or word format right now. In that scenario, Proposify will increase your visual factor and brand awareness.

We ran into issues using Proposify with our Salesforce CPQ contracts and ultimately had to bypass it because of that. When we prepare a contract/proposal outside of CPQ it is still an awesome tool.

We use Proposify to house various templates and product/service snippets to create proposals for our company. The sales department uses this tool to assist in delivering dynamic proposals and creative decks to customers. Even before COVID-19, we found it helpful and time-saving to quickly create proposals that we could show to a client via a video meeting. More so, the ability to quickly change assets is a plus, once learned how to.
  • UX UI
  • Move templates and assets in/out of a proposal
  • Manage directories to store assets
  • UI has some bugs in creating proposals
  • Up-front billing and removal of team members
  • Compression of proposals for export
It is costly to properly set up Proposify and retain its use ongoing. If you have a plan to implement your proposals you can get some good cost-saving use from it. I cannot stress enough to have your assets, graphics, and snippets ready before you start. I also recommend that you fully understand templates and asset library or you will quickly be overwriting templates and themes with client-specific verbiage.

We use Proposify to create, edit, and send client proposals to gain new work for our agency. We create various types of sheets to personalize and customize for each proposal that we send out. It's a team effort. Everyone from management to marketing and design and account executives uses this software and adds their input.

Proposify is best suited for freelancers, entrepreneurs, and businesses of any size who want to professionally create and send project proposals to potential and current clients. This helps you stand out from the crowd with the look of how you present your services and lets you see if and when they open the proposals.

Our organization used Proposify for customer facing documents, namely software and services proposals for current clients as well as prospects and reseller partners.

These proposals were software and professional services proposals and we also looked at incorporating SOW’s as well as contracts (MSSA’s and Order Forms) in Proposify for review and signature by the recipients.
  • Looks very good to clients.
  • Tracks when clients are viewing proposals (for how long and what pages/parts of the proposal).
  • Integrates pretty well with SFDC.
  • Presentation mode is simple and useful.
  • Export into Word would be useful
  • SFDC integration sometimes doesn’t seem to search/find contacts/opps perfectly
  • Some of controls (editing proposals and templates) could be more clear/intuitive
  • Difficult for businesses where redlined contracts/proposals may find this software does not support client/vendor collaboration
Proposify is great to provide a clean, elegant proposal for clients to review and sign. If your proposals are delivered via email and you need to be able to track clicks, views and other metrics, this tool is very valuable.

If the proposal process is more complex and their are substantial edits back and forth between the two parties, Word or Acrobat would be better than Proposify. I feel that it is best for simple, “read and sign” transactions.

We use Proposify in both departments--the marketing department and the web development department. In the past we were creating all proposals in Word, using templates that we had created. Proposify allows us to create really good-looking proposals and see when they're viewed, how often they're viewed, etc. It's also easy to add variables like client name. And the signing can happen easily and online.
  • Great designs
  • View tracking
  • Immediate signing
  • Some of the formatting options aren't completely intuitive, especially with regards to images.
Proposify is great for pretty much any kind of proposal, as far as I can tell. It allows for retainer-type work, one-time contracts, and a mix of both, which is perfect for my department. It also allows you to create discounts, which we do for nonprofit organizations so they can see what they'd normally pay.

Proposify is used by my company for creating detailed proposals and contracts. It allows us to create an all-in-one document to show to potential clients who we want to give a marketing plan as well as a legal document. Proposify has templates for different industries which allows you to have the legal jargon in place so you do not have to worry about it yourself. Of course, have your own lawyer look over things.
  • Pre-made proposal and contract templates for different industries.
  • Easy to insert custom branding so your documents stand out.
  • You are able to sign the document via your computer so you don't have to worry about faxing or printing out documents.
  • Inside of the templates can be finicky. It's easy to get the document unaligned.
  • Making the document a bit more user-friendly when creating it. The interface feels a bit out of date when designing it.
  • Pricing is high.
If you are a business that often sends out proposals and other marketing documents that need online signatures then it doesn't get much easier than Proposify. I wouldn't pay for it if I didn't send out contracts monthly.

I utilize Proposify to create a step by step plan that explains how my company can benefit them. With Proposify I was able to quickly and easily create templates with my personal branding that I can use over and over. Then you are able to easily send your proposal AND contract over To your potential client.
  • Easy to use pre-made contracts.
  • Easy to use pre-made proposals.
  • Easy to use pre-made templates.
  • Easy storage for your contracts.
  • Easy for clients and users to sign contracts.
  • Pricing feels a little high if you aren’t sending out contracts monthly.
  • The billing tables inside of their proposal are a little confusing and difficult to use.
If you are a freelancer or small online business that needs to send out proposals that require signature then Proposify might be right for you. It’s no fuss and fairly easy to use. If you don’t plan on sending detailed proposals out every month then it might not be worth it to pay a monthly fee.

We were looking for a tool to replace our trusty but a somewhat chaotic system of creating and tracking proposals. We have kept everything within the Google Docs - enough for a few documents, but a real burden as our team grew and the number of proposals increased considerably.

We made the switch to Proposify over a year ago. We were able to build a library of re-usable snippets of information that we can quickly insert into the draft or simply edit an existing document if that's quicker.

Proposify allows us to keep everything within one document - from the initial proposal, including all the attachments and versions. The approval process now consists of a few mouse clicks and the sign-off by the clients is also just a few seconds job.
  • Keeping all attachments and versions in one document from start to finish.
  • Notifications - when the client opens/approves the proposal.
  • We are able to keep a consistent design for all our proposals.
  • The library is somewhat limited, better to be viewed as a foundation for your custom proposals.
  • The pricing might be a problem for companies who do not require a lot of proposals to justify the costs.
Proposify is well suited for any business with a need for presentable proposals with a unified design.

It would probably not be the best fit for enterprises that require deeper integration with their CRM or those with specific workflows, or for smaller companies with only a handful of proposals to create and manage.

Our organization uses Proposify as a way to present our services to clients, giving them a chance to review everything they are being offered and the ability to sign off on working with us right from the proposal. It is used by our department heads, and this eliminates the issue of misunderstandings. Everything the client will need to know about what we will do for them is clearly and beautifully laid out for them.
  • So our favorite feature is the huge time savings. If anybody's ever done proposals on Word or Excel; it’s a head wreck. Proposify is great because there are beautiful templates there ready to go, it saves you a ton of time, and they are visually appealing. We get lots of feedback from our clients when we send them out proposals that our proposals look amazing.
  • There are great, sneaky metrics that we absolutely love. You get notifications on your phone via the app when somebody opens the proposal and when they've signed off on it. But you can also go into the app and see how much time people are actually spending looking at your proposal.
  • Because you send out the proposals and you can have automated reminder emails, there’s communication back and forth within the proposal that you can have-- the clients can actually write notes back and forth. It just makes the whole thing super smooth and it integrates with most of your CRMs out there.
  • The startup integration is cool, but we'd like to see a little bit more love in that space. So once the Stripe payment is taken could the clients get a receipt? That might be helpful, as right now we have to go and actually manually create that in Quickbooks.
This is great as a way to provide welcome packages to new clients or to kick off new projects with existing clients.

As a small agency, I am personally responsible for new business and creating proposals. Proposify has been able to improve the quality of our proposals while saving me time in the process. What I initially underestimated was the user experience for the potential client, which ultimately improves our chances of securing the new business.
  • They are consistently developing the product. New templates and new pricing options recently have made it even more appropriate for us.
  • Love being able to track when a client comes back to a proposal and identify what sections they're spending time on. It helps to be able to reach out and answer any questions they may have.
  • Sometimes I find the pricing tables a little clunky.
  • More styling flexibility would be great.
Proposify has a big range of proposal templates, so there's plenty of instances where it will be appropriate. Even if there are no ready-made templates for your specific needs, with a little work upfront, you will save a lot of time and look good doing it.

Those involved with business development use Proposify on a daily basis to draft, revise, and finalize statements of work with new and existing clients. Our account management team also uses Proposify to keep track of project scope, compensation, and deliverable timing. Proposify serves as our SOW pipeline as well as a repository active and expired contracts between our agency and clients.
  • Proposal templates cut down on unbillable time spent writing, revising, and executing proposals.
  • The electronic signature for the agreement is integrated into the statement of work, eliminating the need for multiple platforms and streamlining the deal closing process.
  • Provides internal visibility into pending and existing deals to those on the team who we grant access. This eliminates a lot of emails and questions about scope, compensation, and timing.
  • The selectable checkbox feature allows the client to select only the services they want, which reduces the need for revisions while clarifying the full range of offerings we provide.
  • The text editor is slow, buggy, and the Achilles heel of the Proposify platform. It got worse with the launch of their new UI.
  • The new interface was launched way before it was ready for prime-time. As a result, there are still quite a few bugs Proposify has yet to fix. Once you upgrade to the new interface, you can't go back.
  • It's not uncommon to have sections of a proposal disappear entirely from the PDF version.
  • Depending on the browser, formatting can be far different that the creator intended.
Great for smaller agencies, or larger ones who can integrate a more robust CMS with deal pipeline functionality. It's a great stand-alone proposal generation product with an integrated docu-sign like functionality.

For larger agencies or service providers, this would not be a suitable replacement for a CMS as it's not designed to be one.

Proposify has been used by CX3 Digital for virtually all of our client proposals over the past two years. There are two main features that led to us choosing this: pre-designed templates, and tracking of the proposals through the process, up to and including electronic signature.
  • Pre-designed templates that are a great jumping off point for creating proposals
  • Electronic signature is huge!
  • Ease of editing pricing, and allowing multiple pricing options that client can choose prior to signing.
  • Frankly we believe this is a near perfect product. Of course, we'd always love to see more templates.
  • To build on adding more templates, perhaps adding the capability for customers to submit templates to an online repository for sharing might be nice.
As a full service digital marketing agency this product was a great fit. For a company that doesn't utilized as many different types of proposals, this might be overkill.

As a small business, I needed a proposal solution that would work for me. I really like how Proposify allows me to customize my proposal template and generate beautiful and impressive proposals quickly and accurately and keeps track of my pipeline.
  • Templates for your proposals. Excellent tools to make creating new proposals simple and easy.
  • Tracking of pipeline. Keeps track of how long it has been since I last created the proposal.
  • Love seeing the client's engagement. Helps me to time the calls for follow-up.
  • Zapier integration is great. When a proposal is approved by the client, I have an automated Zap that informs my team to start the process.
  • Mobile is not quite where I want it. Would like to see more options to create proposals on mobile.
Very well suited in a small business environment. Love how I can see a dashboard and know where things are.

Proposify is used by our sales team, as well as our client management team. We were having issues with formatting and continuity before Proposify, which solved the problem.
  • Templates-easy to save and easy to modify.
  • Content library. Once content has been created, it stays in the library forever. You can also set up certain pages to be included in all proposals.
  • Formatting. The design is really sleek. Many of our clients are super impressed we use a digital proposal system
  • Proposify doesn't work well in Internet Explorer. I've run into issues with clients who can't check off boxes and sign the proposal because they use IE.
  • The email notifications are laggy at best. Sometimes it will just go straight to spam.
  • The level of customization doesn't really apply after a template is created which can be frustrating. The color scheme and tables are not super user friendly or intuitive to find.
Proposify works well if you have a company that needs to send out consistent proposals. If you're not in a digital field, your clients or customers might struggle more with using it.

We use it for all of our agreements and proposals. Everything from independent contractor agreements, NDAs, project agreements, and project contracts. It makes it much faster, and allows me to update a template with approved messaging so that the wrong contracts aren't being used by our team for new agreements.
  • Managing our deals that are outstanding.
  • Making it easy for our clients to sign a proposal, and get a copy without taking a million extra steps.
  • Syncing with our accounting system and CRM and updating records based on client activity with our proposals.
  • The editor, and the content library could be more streamlined.
  • The fee tables could be easier to use.
  • It would be nice to be able to have more functionality for proposals that aren't based on fees. (This is already in the works, and there is SOME functionality, but it would be nice to be able to update different Pipelines in HubSpot based on different streams for example).
If you send out 3+ proposals, agreements, etc a month, you need Proposify. If you have multiple people on your team sending out those agreements, then you needed it yesterday.

Propisify is used by our web design agency to send proposals (that double as contracts) to our clients for web design services. It is used by myself, the creative director who handles all interaction with prospective clients. It makes the process of sending a proposal almost seamless since I am able to start from my own saved template and make small adjustments from there.
  • The ability to save templates or your proposals or even templates of certain sections is awesome!
  • It lays out every section on a side column so a user can quickly jump from the budget section back to the project scope section seamlessly.
  • The ability to e-sign and have it double as a contract is extremely useful and one of the things I love most.
  • The email sends out doesn't look as good as I think it could look. Very basic but does the job.
  • I would like to see Proposify improve in the area of a timeline and make something that works a little better there.
It is perfect for any service related job. I would recommend this to anyone selling a service as the platform is so versatile. If you're not a service provider may be less relevant.

Proposify is used by our sales team to send out proposals and contracts.

It has speed up our proposal writing and time to contract signature massively since we implemented it.

I HIGHLY recommend proposify for any / all businesses!
  • Ease of use. It's very easy to use.
  • Customizable templates are one of the best features as we can create new documents quickly when needed.
  • The speed of which we're able to write proposals is 30X faster then before we used Proposify.
  • If there's a way to link quickbooks and proposify so that invoices could be paid quickly after that would be ideal.
I don't see anywhere where Proposify couldn't be used by a sales team, or business development team.

It's super easy to use and very effective for any sales team that deals with proposals and contracts.

We use Proposify to build different marketing material and business collateral. It is a great tool and we love that it updates in real time. Unfortunately, sometimes it is hard to fit everything on each page accordingly, and sometimes there are major glitches. That is the downside with the product, specifically that they have not optimized it.
  • Marketing material
  • Updates in real time
  • Tech savvy look to it
  • Hard to navigate
  • Needs to be easier to save documents
  • Needs to have more storage space
I would recommend it for those looking to have a solution to make marketing material that you can edit whenever and will be changed in real time, for anyone that is looking to have tech savvy looking documents, and for those that are creating a lot of material that looks similar. It is easy to copy and make a new document from a previous document that you make.

All of our client proposals are created, presented and tracked with proposify. It does it all with a very easy to read dashboard. It lets you know the status of each proposal. Before we started using proposify we had no way to collaborate on proposals or track them. Proposify does each of those functions.
  • Templates library has a much broader selection than the competition.
  • The dashboard is easy to follow.
  • Flexibility with styling.
  • Easy to work with videos and images.
  • The editor does take some getting used to and is sensitive to mouse rolls and other movements. But you do get used to it.
We do a number of proposals each month so we are always using it. We use it for all proposals so we do not have any one-offs we don't use it for. I would not use it for a preliminary or testing the waters with a short brief.
