- We have better insights into overall performance.

- Proper configuration did pull time away from other projects, more than it should have if PRTG had more built-in capabilities.

PRTG Monitoring System
- Since the tool is easy to use, it doesn't require a whole lot of effort to train people.
- Since the license is based on sensor, the more detailed you monitor a device (the more sensor is required), the more it cost you. So makes it less likely that you will monitor as much as possible if a license is limited. If you add everything to monitoring, it can consume a lot of sensors per device.
- There are many strong alerting/notification features that allowing you to stay informed without a lot of effort to monitor the tool directly.

PRTG monitors everything, even my enthusiasm
- The ability to analyze multiple pieces of information in one place, especially with historical data, has saved our IT department time and headaches. It would be so much more difficult to trace an issue without PRTG, just relying on event logs and an open task manager window.
- The cost is not cheap, so it's an expense that hits the bottom line like everything else. Figure in hardware costs as well, ideally a server outside of your main environment.
- I keep saying this, but the historical data piece is worth so much. There's really no good way to collect all of that information in one place without something like PRTG. And that definitely saves time and money in the long run.

PRTG real time traffic monitoring
- PRTG gives us real-time traffic monitoring on our bandwidth, including both internal and external.
- With PRTG, we can set up alerts for circuit latency and downtime.
- More SNMP support and features could be added to make it a more robust monitoring platform.

PRTG - YOUR Network & Device Monitoring Platform
- We have alerted our customers to issues or potential issues before they even know there is one - it has allowed us to remain proactive vs. reactive.
- We have used PRTG as an upsell opportunity for monitoring packages or informational reporting.
- The initial investment was a little tough but once we got up and running and saw the power of PRTG we were highly satisfied.
- This product is used in an academic environment and the impact is huge for students using the product before the see it in the field.

PRTG Really Monitors Network
- Allows us to see potential issues before they become failures. Examples would be high memory or CPU usage, low disk space, etc.
- We are able to see outages right away instead of waiting for users to complain. This allows us to get in front of the issue and get it resolved quicker.
