My infrastructure team does our in-house support. We are lucky to be on a system that requires less internal work to keep it running as planned. I am very impressed with the limited lift that this system requires in keeping systems online for all types of users. They love it.

We have 5 dedicated storage engineers who support the Pure arrays in addition to supporting a number of other storage systems. However, in terms of effort, the Pure arrays take less support than any of our other platforms, probably on the order of an hour or two a week.

The flash array is by far the simpliest array to manage. Also with Pure's proactive support, they will find issues before you know there is one. The remote assist feature allows them to log in remotely and fix most issues with no user intervention.

Only need 1 but have two for backup. Maintenance is simple and mostly hands off. Mainly just check if their are new firmware versions, if so we schedule Pure to do the upgrade. Extremely easy, simple, and reliable.

2
The infrastructure architect and admin actively manage the FlashArray. The infrastructure team has 10+ years experience with managing storage devices but this experience is largely unnecessary due to the simplicity and ease of use of the FashArray. We have cross trained our DevOps team as emergency backups and their quick understanding of the GUI layout and concepts helped the team feel comfortable should the infrastructure team be unavailable during an emergency.

The Pure FlashArrays have been so low maintenance all the administrators have had their duties greatly expanded. We used to have one fulltime admin and four that would help as needed maintaining storage systems, we now have two that spend less than 10% of their time with the Pure systems.
