- When compared to what we have had to pay to get into some of our legacy storage arrays, Pure Storage has already put us in the black. The ROI writes itself when implementing a Pure FA.

- We have moved from a couple of older XtremIOs and a Unity array to 2 Pure arrays. This has saved us a great deal in power, as well as rack space, etc.

Pure Storage: A Simplified Effective Flash Array
- In year 3, we receive an upgrade to our storage controllers as part of our maintenance renewal. It's a non-disruptive upgrade.
- We already know what our maintenance cost will be, and can easily budget for this.
- The FlashArray has allowed us to retire legacy arrays, and we are now considering further consolidation in our storage stack.

VDI Game Changer
- Cost effective do to the compression/deduplication
- Less administrative overhead - the upgrades are performed by Pure engineers (while we observe the upgrade process).
- The system architecture is more power efficient due to it being all-flash.

Pure, the only choice for flash!
- We've had all positive impacts. I don't think we can ever go back to another flash storage platform that's currently on the market.
- The initial buy-in is steep but the Forever Flash program ensures you will never need to buy a new array again, only pay for support.
- Each firmware update improves on the compression algorithm. One update moved us from 80% utilization to 76% utilization.
- Updates are non-invasive cutting down on costly downtime.

Is Pure Storage right for you?
- We are still fairly new to Pure Storage, so it is somewhat hard to say on the RIO, but I can say that it has made a very positive impact on the manageability of a storage array. With our previous SAN environment, I felt like there were always little things that I didn't know about. I was also using support a lot more with the earlier arrays.
