Our company began its experience with Qlik 6 years ago. At the beginning we used View and for two years we have integrated Sense and Nprinting. The IT (business intelligence) team and the MS (advanced analytics) team coordinate the infrastructure and manage the releases, which reach every branch of the company.
  • Adaptability
  • Integration
  • Ease of Use
  • Greater possibility of native customization
  • Fewer links to scripting and more wizards
  • Certified and officially maintained extensions
I believe that thanks to its scalability it is suitable for medium to large companies. The complexity of the proprietary language and the link with scripting make it not very accessible to small companies, where however it is certainly less necessary.

Our company makes use of Qlik Sense in an effort to gather a large amount of reporting data from many different platforms and systems (including Salesforce, Oracle Eloqua, Google Analytics, Interlynx, and many other data sources from different territories globally) to generate a single source for reporting performance to the management of organization.
  • Reporting
  • Analyzing data
  • Connecting data
  • Could be easier to set up
  • Become more accessible
  • Maybe a better cost
Qlik Sense is an amazing tool for reporting data from multiple sources and to do it well on great interface and reporting graphics, but nowadays there are much competition and Qlik Sense have to keep cost-effective against solutions that might have a very good cost or even some "free" tools like Google Data Studio for instance.

Each and every one of the tools that we have at hand and that Qlik Sense offers us are an enormous contribution to the skill of users in their work with the aim of increasing the business processes of the company much more, this program is a guide interaction that notably benefits the relationships of a company with all its customers.
  • The intelligent technology of Qlik Sense educates us to be much more accurate in each of the processes that we build, that is to say that this program is an accomplice to manipulate our data.
  • One of the greatest virtues that this program offers us is that it considerably increases the speed with which we can act and the efficiency of our operations.
  • It is very important that each one of the new users of this program have prior knowledge or some type of course with programs similar to this one in order to get the most out of it, since otherwise it would be complicated to manipulate the program.
  • This program can offer much more and cover other stations, it has the potential to include many more resources that strengthen the skills of its users, unfortunately the updates do not change much.
Qlik Sense is a program whose purpose is to greatly improve all your operations and use of all data in an organic way. The mission will always be to increase the economic and commercial processes of the company in a short time. I recommended it for its high technology, which was Created for this area, the results are successful. We have noticed how it has increased relationships with our clients thanks to the credibility and security that we provide.

Qlik Sense has unmatched service, I mostly like the power to show not only what we have filtered, but what we are missing, it shows and unearthing the hidden insights. Qlik associate engine is one of the unparalleled and powerful engines I have used in the domain and has been a great leader in BI/analytics space. I also like how Qlik Automation has been a game changer and we are moving more and more our MS Automation over to Qlik. Overall Qlik Automation experience is very fantastic and brings the support team closer in case of any challenge or inconvenience.
  • Qlik allows us to create a centralized reporting platform with governed security rules that allows visibility into data easily.
  • Unifies all our data sources regardless of our data sources, or traditional databases.
  • I like the intuitive, quick learning curve for analytic and business users.
  • Great associate data model.
  • The only challenge is navigation through Qlik mobile app which is clunky at times and not very smooth. Especially for non-IT.
  • It's also too expensive to scale to hundred - thousands users, it would be fine to have lower license cost.
I like how Qlik is designed in a very easy and powerful look to deploy complex data models when user gave multiple data sources and have to consolidate and integrate in a single data model and generate insights faster. Overall it's a very powerful intuitive and suitable tool for SMBs org who have several business units and different data sources and need to consolidate them together and get quick insights.

Qlik sense in the company is a mission-critical environment; we have more than 60 dashboards around all the areas of the company.
  • ETL processes.
  • It's very easy to build a dashboard.
  • The changes of structure and new datas are easy to implement.
  • The script seccion.
With Qlik Sense, you can analyze different kinds of data, and you can connect to a lot of sources to develop a dashboard; the ETL process is simple and fast.

What I like the most about this application is that it is really easy to use, it is intuitive, dynamic and very simple to implement, to begin with this is already a great achievement. On the other hand, I like being able to have a central platform that generates the reports, with minimal security rules to prevent unauthorized data manipulation. For me it has been of great help to generate reports from large databases, unify data and criteria and generate analysis, according to this information. I have used it in different organizations in which I have worked, which broadens its scope since it is not limited to one sector, but can be used in any field, for the analysis of any type of data.
  • Flexibility in data recording, from the app, as well as in handling them. Allowing you to view reports quickly and effectively.
  • Easy to generate dynamic graphics according to our needs.
  • It is very easy to use, intuitive, so it does not generate costs in the learning process compared to the tool with collaborators
  • Data analysis in data groups is of great help that allows us to visualize impressive results, however, these tools that are so useful and tremendous to us are not easy to use.
  • Windows are not very friendly or intuitive.
  • The support or customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
For me it has been useful in any scenario, I have used the application in various work areas, with various objects of analysis, from the food sector to biotechnology and it has been very useful in all of them. I think that one of its strengths is how versatile it can be, since it is not limited to offering data analysis of a specific sector. It is an excellent application for data analysis and reporting of any type of information!

The goal of using Qlik Sense in our organization is to make the organizational data easily accessible, reliable, consistent and secured to support and improve business planning, decision making processes and measure strategic KPIs of business in real-time.Qlik Sense is leveraged for development and use of Management and Functional Metrics and Dashboards to measure our KPIs and progress towards strategic goals. These metrics are agreed upon in advance and endorsed by senior leadership.

For example -

Sales Module: Country Sales Performance, Growth analysis, Sales Performance, Sales by business segment, Regions/Country/area, Sales by product brand, Sales by new product, Salesman performance, Intercompany sale and purchase by product, Margin analysis, etc.

Finance Module: Account receivable and collection, Profit and Loss, Cash flow, Financial key ratio, Credit note control, OPEX analysis, OPEX by function, Functional report, Management report, Investment Report, etc.

Inventory and Stock Module: Inventory listing, Stock movement at country level, Inventory aging etc.

SOM Module: Inventory, Budget-Forecast-Actual Sales in each country, OPEX Analysis, Logistics etc.
  • Self-Service Visualization and Discovery
  • Fullstack BI from ETL to Visualization, its built-in ETL engine can transform disparate data sets into a common data structure
  • Uses HTML5 based responsive design which visualization automatically adapt to the screen size and orientation of the users device
  • Actively engaged community and resources to help you learn this software in the best possible manner
  • Scalability is RAM limited, all data is associative and in-memory so server's RAM is directly proportional to performance
  • Limitation on advanced analytics capabilities in the form of R integration to perform complex statistical and analytical calculations
  • Can have more intuitive interface
Qlik Sense provides very effective unified view of our data and extensibility. It offers the most interactive visualization and visual drill-down, responsive/adaptive to different screen sizes and form factors, and having built-in ETL engine to transform disparate data sets into a common data structure. Qlik Sense platform provides a greater level of self-service data discovery but in a controlled form, nominated power users have the ability to create charts and tables and publish to the main applications.

Qlik Sense's has limitation on advanced analytics capabilities in the form of R integration to perform complex statistical and analytical calculations

Fidelity's Quality Assurance division was using Qlik Sense to build Dashboards for tracking performance, day to day impact and contribution of Quality Engineers. There was a lot of data in the form of various reports, which was getting generated from our Daily automation suite execution which was needed to be presented to management in forms of Pass, fail results and a trend graphs so that management team can judge the stability of our Production systems from Test maturity stand-point.
  • Data Visualization and Reporting capabilities
  • Visual Analytics
  • Dashboarding
  • Collaboration features of Qlik Sense
  • Better API Integration and Support for more Datasources
  • Data Transformation and In built ETL capabilities
  • Support to access from multiple types of OS/Machines/platforms
Well suited for cases where one needs to visualize variety of data sets available and present it to management in form of Real-time Dashboards and help them get a predictive analytics /predictions on stability trends in near future.

More user friendly dashboard for data analysis than trying to navigate through SAP.
  • Data Analysis
  • Customization of Reports
  • Endless Dashboards
  • One user can modify reports that affect others
  • Easier way to multiselect items within a field
  • Sometimes bookmarked reports don't populate same selection criteria
Great way to see data for all things operations and sales. Endless possibilities for data analysis. It is difficult to determine all of what data populates a predefined dashboard and how that compares to another with very similar, but slightly different data.

I work with hard-to-use databases that produce large sets of data. In order for the data to translate into useful information, I use Qlik Sense to create comprehensive visualizations to give senior leaders and managers the ability to understand their current workforce composition and plan for the future.
  • Color
  • third party apps
  • linking data sets
  • relatively easy for a new user in a low-code environment to adopt
  • need to export images better
  • better Microsoft integrations
  • more options for intuitive app navigation
Great for large data sets, regularly updated data, and survey analysis. don't use it for static data, small data sets, or a one-time report.

Qlik Sense is one of the visualization tools that sit on top of the global data lake in our company. We are dealing with so many data sources and needed a decent BI tool to provide an opportunity for the end user to have an at-a-glance summary of the key performance indicators at their fingertips.
  • Good workspace environment
  • Decent filtering capability on visualization
  • In memory data management
  • Self service analytics
  • Variety of visualization types
  • Support more fonts
  • Better chart label enhancements
The integration of Qlik Sense into our Azure data lake has been successful. It's easy to use and the minimal learning curve is a big plus for business users. I would like to mention the visualization and customization capability of Qlik Sense should be improved.

  • Easily we can do the data analytics for manage and un-manage data
  • This tool are much easy to use and perform the daily reporting work
  • User must be experienced to use this tool for different usages
This tool is well suited to manage the huge size of unstructured data and structured data, Easily we can point out the trend of project progress based on the report. These tools are much easy to use with some experience. We can use this tool in different work like reporting, data analytics, alerts, etc.

Qlik is used to push reports out to line areas in an easy to use way. The usage of reports differs across business areas, with some preferring to take visualisations at face value, and others preferring to use filters to export relevant data. Specialised data areas are required to build the reports from SQL tables.

As a sweeping generalisation, I would characterise contract managers as the biggest users of the visualisation. Program managers will check the reports for accurate data, and will export the data for compliance and pattern checking.
  • Some of the visualisations are very convincing. I have particularly enjoyed plotting on maps.
  • Very easy to export data with filters.
  • Easy for anyone to build a report from a variety of sources.
  • I have not been able to publish a report just for my team (publishes only to a wider audience). This has limited its usage in my current role due to sensitive data.
  • Some of the coding language can be very confusing, requiring un-intuitive approaches to solve conditional problems (it has been a while since I have coded).
  • I would appreciate the ability to roll back to previous versions more easily - having multiple backups can be a hassle.
Well suited when you need a report to go out to many different types of users with varying levels of data skills.

Well suited when you need to guide users to places they need to look at.

Not well suited as an initial place to explore your data, prior to building a report.

Qliksense is being used as a primary BI reporting tool within multiple business units. It provides a cloud-based analytic/reporting tool [that] can solve complex business problems and a centralized single source of data needed for day-to-day activities. Qlik sense is capable of [handling a] huge volume of data and [providing] some unique [functions] such as snapshot creation.
  • capable to handle huge data volume
  • Snapshot and data history can be maintained
  • Cloud based GUI and beautiful dashboards
  • More charts can be added ex. sunburst chart
  • Scope to improve GUI for end users
If you do not have a centralized database and you need to do the maximum calculation and business transformation within the BI reporting tool then QlikView/Qlik Sense is the best available tool in the market. You can even do complete data warehousing using Qlik (ex. snapshot creation/maintaining history) etc. Qliksense can handle a huge volume of data and the most complex code can be implemented in Qliks Sense. Qlik Sense does not have an attractive GUI compared to Power BI or Tableau.

Across the organization in different departments like IT, Sales, Tech support, Professional services, finance and more.
  • Easy to use: As compared to most of other BI tools we found Qlik to be the most easy to learn. Our users hi from basic user to building advanced apps in very short span.
  • Agile: with the current pace the business world is changing and moving we needed to be very agile. Qlik is very agile to work with.
  • Performance: being in memory tool Qlik sense performance is at par with our business expectations. The data loads are very fast using the native connectors as well
  • Report delivery: Printing is offered as a solution which is not user friendly and needs a lot of improvement.
  • Extensions: need a certified extension process so that we can trust them before bringing into our Qlik environment
  • Way to make a data model using 2 apps. Rather than creating a 3rd app, we should have a way to connect 2 apps
All the analytical needs can be solved by Qlik Sense. Operational reporting on live data is not something Qlick Sense does very well

Qlik Sense is used as a reporting/dashboard platform at my current organization.
  • Handling of Large Dataset
  • QV Load Script, once comfortable is a great tool to grab data from our data warehouse
  • Not a lot of room for customization as we were used to in QlikView
  • UI and default navigation can be very clunky and not user friendly
  • Although the backend is fantastic, the front end experience leaves a lot to be desired. As a developer you don't have a lot of options to customized your app unless you turn to Javascript, CSS and HTML. This is not a common stack you would find in most BI developers
Qlik Sense is great if you want to load a large dataset and have it shown on a single dashboard. The in memory engine is fantastic.

We are still currently in the development phase. We've rolled out a few dashboards that are getting minimal usage by the intended users. I believe we are just scratching the surface of accomplishing our end goal of having a full suite of business intelligence dashboards.
  • The layout of dashboards and the flexibility to place things where I want is great.
  • Incredibly difficult to create even basic dashboard items. The amount of complex coding simply to filter an item as I wish is not ideal.
  • Manipulation and importing of data is not easy or streamlined
  • Formatting is not easy to quickly change and update
It's good for static dashboards that automatically update data. I'm still not sold on dynamic items with changes in filtering.

Qlik is being used internally to create operational dashboards to monitor performance indicators.
  • Visualization.
  • Trending.
  • Efficiencies.
  • More refined push capabilities.
  • Still evaluating SaaS offering, tbd.
Good bang for your buck approach. Relatively easy to implement and scale as needed.

Qlik was deployed as an enterprise solution to data visualization and aggregation in the cloud.
  • Visualizations.
  • UI design elements (not navigation).
  • Colors.
  • Our most important Qlik reports notoriously fail to load or sit on a loading/spinning icon indefinitely.
  • If a Qlik report loads, end users have no idea what they are looking at or how to interpret the data.
  • When a Qlik report has problems, the team in charge of fixing them has no capacity to work on these fixes because they are occupied with other responsibilities. Our organization does not regularly allow end users to reach out directly to Qlik support, as this is supposed to be handled internally with IT teams reaching out when needed.
Qlik seems better for small teams that don't have any roadblocks with data governance and where all of the designers and end users talk with each other. In a larger organization, often we have no idea who designed a report or how it works. When we finally track down who owns a report, we hear that the designers are no longer available and no one knows how it works or why it won't load. Because of that poor experience with several reports, no one wants new Qlik reports built. Even when developers would prefer Qlik, they often cannot access the data we're working with to connect it to Qlik to use Qlik's visuals.

Using Qlik Sense as a pilot program for data visualization that will hopefully replace Excel and pivot tables. This is also being evaluated against Tableau.
  • Interactive visualizations.
  • Easy to use.
  • Intuitive.
  • Price.
  • Not a lot of external community help (forums, etc.).
Qlik Sense is very good at taking smallish datasets and making visuals, but can become overwhelming if you feed it too much data. Haven't used the mobile features yet, but the option is very nice to have and I can see it being very useful. We were also able to get it to dynamically update when the underlying data changed, like pivot tables, but easier to configure in my opinion.

Qlik is being used by a couple of departments to address performance in various patient care/scheduling metrics. The data pulls from our electronic medical record.
  • Data presentation and visualization.
  • Ability to customize reports.
  • Processing large datasets quickly.
  • Formulas are hard to use/hard to figure out logic.
  • Training resources could be better organized.
  • Would like interactive training resources - I really have to rely on other users in my organization to better learn to use the platform and that approach has limitations.
Qlik Sense is great for making data readily available to pull various metrics and create reports. Qlik Sense is less appropriate for sharing reports with colleagues directly through the platform because there aren't many users in my organization. I typically have to download the data to Excel and share it in that format instead.

It's used in various departments to analyze trends, create visualized reports by joining data from different systems and functions.
  • Flexibility on joining multiple data sets.
  • Drilldown data to different levels for details.
  • Self-service capability for end users to duplicate sheets to create new visualization.
  • Search content option on data preview when opening file in Data Load Editor - Folder - Select file.
It's a great interactive tool to provide visualization for large dataset in a meaningful way that stakeholders can easily digest.

Qlik Sense is highly used in my organization as it helps our users to derive insights from the data accurately. The visualization objects in Qlik Sense are really good and interactive and help my users to get an understanding of the whole story behind the data. Unlike query-based BI tools, the associative model of Qlik Sense has helped them a lot in deriving insights and metrics for the business.
  • Qlik Associative Model
  • Accurately manages large volume of data in less time
  • Qlik Sense uses in-memory data model
  • Security feature of Qlik Sense is also good
  • Qlik Sense is a really powerful tool and it's quite easy to use. The only thing I can think of is increasing the breadth of the sheet size so that more objects can be added in a row so that the report doesn't grow in length.
  • Qlik Nprinting can be integrated with Qlik Sense so that developers can easily create the reports in one interface
Qlik Sense is a self-service tool. So in scenarios where users are only thinking of using one tabular report created out of one table, then I think Qlik Sense isn't needed. The modeling of Qlik Sense is robust and is well suited in cases where there is a large volume of data from multiple sources.

Qlik Sense is used by various cross-functional teams across the organization to access critical business data presented in the form of interactive, customized dashboards. The features that present reports according to the respective audiences are something I rate highly. Additionally, the Qlik Management Console UI is very user-friendly for managing apps, tasks, users, etc.
  • Interactive dashboards.
  • Great chart and script functions.
  • A lot of visualization options.
  • There is always scope for adding more chart and script functions.
  • Qlik Sense user roles can perhaps be better defined and hence easier to differentiate.
  • Error messages or warnings in the data load editor can be more specific and informative.
Qlik Sense is well suited for complex data analysis. The Pivot chart reporting feature, for example, helps to efficiently organize and present data that might otherwise be tough to drill into and analyze. Qlik Sense is perhaps a less appropriate tool or software when it comes to requirements that are oriented a lot towards statistics, rather than business intelligence reporting.
