Qlik Sense Desktop edition when to use it vs. Qlik Sense Enterprise edition

Data Integration

A great range of data sources and they keep adding more.
Very easy (using the wizard) to merge data from different sources and even add calculated fields.
A very strong scripting language to do even more advanced stuff that cannot be done with the wizard.

Data Integration

This seems to be able to connect with ease to most database types. How Qlik Sense handles data from the various sources with comparative ease. Merging the data from different sources is simple and easy as well as the ability to tidy up formatting issues within the data.

Data Integration

They allow for any type of data source that I have needed to use. They also have a connection tool that guides you through connecting your data source if you don't know what you're doing.

Data Integration

As Qlik Sense stores data on RAM during processing, it supports an unlimited size of data depending on the upgrading of RAM in the user system. It merges different types of data formats like excel, notepad, SQL server in a single application

Data Integration

A great tool, but, I am still learning how to handle the more advanced features. Without help from our vendor, I would be unable to complete some of my assigned tasks.

The tool is good at handling multiple data sources.

I would like to have more control over formatting extensions and visualizations.

Data Integration

It has some great built in connectivity options for SQL DBs and website scraping whlist there are also plenty of addable extensions to cater for a multitude of other data sources that are out there. That said it does currently still fall slightly behind its main rival in terms of connectivity options but with Qlik's rapid development strategy the gaps get ever closer

Data Integration

Qlik Sense provides direct data access drivers for most popular data sources, from MySQL through SQL Server and Oracle, into larger and even non-relational databases such as our Hadoop cluster. When specific drivers are not available, there are usually well-test connection packages developed, tested, and shared by some of the most well-known Qlik users around the world,

Data Integration

The ease of integrating and managing data was one of the best I've used on a cloud platform. I enjoyed the manipulation opportunity prior to integrating the data. At the least, it was encouraging to review the import formatting. I didn't try a full range of data sources, but I did use a host of differently formatted Excel files and all worked out as expected.

Data Integration

Support integrating to many common data sources for enterprises such as SAP, Salesforce and common databases (ODBC and OLE compliant).
Also support multiple flat file formats from HTML, to CSV to XML, etc.
It also has a data manager that allows data to be linked / associated to create application specific data model to address different user's needs.

Data Integration

We can source data from databases, spreadsheets, websites, and custom data sources. We can blend data sources from different vendors and data suppliers in the same QlikView application to gain insight into the data.

Data Integration

Once you understand how Qlik uses its synthetic keys, you can use a significant amount of data sources and relate to each other without any effort. It is important to be careful with the nomenclature of the various fields when trying to use the same key or key pairs between a dataset and another.

Data Integration

Great open access ETL layer lets you connect to almost anything. But I do not like that they charge you a lot of extra annual fees to use connectors that should be free (like to Google Analytics). I do like having the full customization and control of manipulating the data as it comes in. The speed at which it processes data is incredible.
