We use Quadient Inspire in the 'IT' department. We use it to create complex mail merges, statements/invoices and other types of personalised mailpieces. It is only used in the IT department as they create everything that gets mailed. It has helped with many business problems, for example a customer sends us a pre merged PDF which they would like mailsorted. Through Inspire we are able to extract the address data from the PDFs using TextinRect which gives us a data file to work with.
  • It keeps the graphic quality and colors of the supplied PDFs. Other software we have used to personalise PDFs has reduced the DPI and even changed the colors. Inspire is great at keeping everything as it should be.
  • The imposition tools within Inspire give a vast range of getting the most out of your printers for the least cost. You can easily arrange documents 2 up or 4 up on SRA3 sheets for printing, cutting and stacking.
  • The TextinRect tool is extremely useful for pulling information off a Digital Document allowing you to manipulate it in many ways.
  • The little known MinMax Generator module is useful for seeing if all your text fits within a flow, if not the 'First Fitting Auto' feature enables you to shrink text automatically if it doesn't quite fit.
  • I'd like to see more help in the way of scripting. The language is unique to Quadient Inspire so it can be a bit daunting, even coming from a programming background, to know the correct syntax.
  • The ability to use TextinRect with UNC paths as we have multiple licences for production so we can run more than one 'Production' at a time but this doesn't seem to work on the server with UNC paths.
  • I find inserting tables somewhat troublesome, I've also found that if you copy a table and paste it to another page in your layout module, although it makes a new table in the Table tab, if you change the contents of your new table, it also changes the contents of the table you copied.
It is well suited for any mail merge you need to do. It is a one stop shop and it does more than you could imagine. You can have multiple data files and multiple artworks/documents. Inspire enables you to source your data, mailsort it and then pull the correct artwork through using conditions for the correct data record, this enables you to do complex mailmerges where before, say in MS Word, you'd have to do everything separately.

  • Since purchasing Inspire we have won many business opportunities as it enables us to create documents we couldn't do before, for example: Council Tax Bills.
  • It is a lot faster at processing than our previous software. We had one job we had to extract addresses from, it was 56,000 records from a 5.5million line text file. Our previous software took 26 hours to pull out the addresses, Quadient Inspire took 43 seconds!
  • We are able to automate processes through Inspire via CLI batch files, where a job would normally take 30 minutes to set up and process, a bit of time spent on the workflow and automation script means we can just double click a batch file for repeat jobs and the print file is created in seconds.
Quadient Inspire is a lot more user friendly and faster.

In our organization, We are currently using Quadient Inspire Designer, Inspire Content Manager, Inspire Interactive and Inspire Scaler in our projects. Now a days in the market Quadient is one of the most reliable CCM applications. By using Quadient Inspire products we can deliver paper-based, e-mail-based and digital-based communication to customers.

I have developed very simply one-page letters with Quadient Inspire products as well as complex booklets of 200 to 300 pages. I personally feel that by using Quadient products we can give personalized output to our customers. Through Quadient products, I have always been able to solve any type of CCM problem.

The best part of Quadient products is the easy GUI which makes it easy even for non-technical users. And Quadient has a knowledge-sharing site called Quadient University in which developers from around the world can interact with each other and share questions in the community.

We deal with all types of CCM projects such as Healthcare, Banking, Utilities, Telecommunication, Life Insurance domains etc. We have been able to achieve the desired output by using various Quadient Inspire products. Nowadays we are mainly using few Quadiant products like Inspire Designer, Inspire Content Manager, Inspire Interactive and Inspire Scalar.

Change management was a small part of the implementation and was well-handled
The person who built the system may feel an impending sense of loss of control, as they know the system at a detailed level. They understand how it operates. They may not see some of the flaws, because they have worked around them for years. To engage these people, it is important to let them know the value of what they do is not linked to that specific legacy system. Their value is in combining rules, data and content in a way that reaches customers accurately. It helps to explain how a new system will reduce some of the re-keying parts of their job, tracking down business people, and double-checking rollout with compliance people.

No, the configurability of Quadient products is not limited. Admin can configure all Quadient products as per business requirements. The configuration for all Quadient products is exactly what we can do with minimum efforts. You will never feel too broad or complicated as they have made all the tools very easy to understand even for the non-technical user.

Quadient provides great support for all their slivers, platinum and any partners that associate with Quadient.
They provide support through e-mails, bots, calls and in-person meeting to put the customer's priority first on the list.
Along with this you can also access Quadient University where you can discuss your queries and can get resolved.

I am giving this rating because Quadient products are very reliable. Quadient products can be deployed across multiple departments and sites as needed. We can integrate Quadient products with other applications and tools in a very effective, efficient and flexible way. We can deploy Quadient products in Cloud as well.

In some cases Quadient always follows the planned schedule and maintenance. They always inform all the partners and clients a day or two in advance so that the clients can work accordingly.

Inspire is used to turn large sets of boring data into amazing looking client communications. XML and SQL data go in at one end, its then restructured and manipulated, and then put back together before being integrated into various layout templates.

In the most simple terms, it allows us to present clients' data to them in a way that is professional-looking, informative and user-friendly.

  • It has a really steep learning curve.
  • There is always more to learning and it may take years to find every feature that's useful to you.
  • Its not cheap, but then again, what enterprise software is?
We use it for producing all forms of reports and correspondence going out of the business. This ranges from simple letters to complex reports.

Our most complex process takes in 20,000+ line XML's and data from multiple SQL servers and CSV's and merges them into 100+ page reports featuring custom explanations, graphs, tables and graphics.
  • We wouldn't be able to produce automated client output without it.
  • Having a solution we can modify in-house has reduced reliance on outside contractors.
  • We can better track output, reviewing where we are incurring cost in communication.
I believe that Inspire stacks up well against the other products I've seen. While others have some nice fancy features, I believe that Inspire is the complete package.

The breadth of the solution, in particular, allows you to cover many potential use cases in one solution with great interoperability. Integration with your other solutions is, however, likely to be the deal-breaker.
Great staff who are really passionate and knowledgeable about the solutions. They have people who want to understand your companies requirements and help create solutions that fit your needs and improve your business. However, sometimes it can be hard getting in contact with the right person and as they are often busy it can sometimes take a while for people to respond to you.

Although everyone's content goes through Inspire, only a limited number of people are hands-on with the product. That is one of the great things about the tool. Users don't need to know what it does, or even if its there to benefit from it. It just quietly gets on with it in the background.

We currently do all support and development in house and feel that this is the most appropriate model.
