Qualtrics is more intuitive than other software systems that I've used and their customer service is phenomenal. We've contacted them on many occasions in the past for help with our survey features to create a more advanced or personal experience and they've always been able to help. There is also quite a bit of information available on their website in Q&A formats that makes it easy to find what you're looking for and keep going.

We originally went with Qualtrics because if it’s positive reputation, our experience working with the platform and other providers, and the presence of APIs. However, the experience has been hellish. They cannot do what they promised, are ambivalent or worse about your situation, worked very little throughout the course of a week, and are going to pass you around from person to person whenever you have an issue. This company will lure you in with snazzy graphics and decent analytics, but when you need them they will not be there for you.

If you want to super high-quality, go with Survature. It’s expensive but worth it. QP is also a good option, and their customer service is exceptional.

My institution at the time was using the free version of Qualtrics. We use UserTesting at work currently since we have licenses paid for. Qualtrics isn't bad at with the institution level of license but it could be better. Overall, the interface is not as exciting or eye catching but it does the job.

The only other similar products I have used are Survey Monkey and the Cvent survey function. But those are basic survey functions - so beyond the league of Qualtrics CoreXM that you cannot compare at all. In all honesty I have not used anything else that I can directly compare to Qualtrics CoreXM.

Qualtrics CoreXM is the only product of its kind I have used. I was not with SelectHealth at the time the application was chosen. I wasn't in a similar role in previous jobs, so I'm not familiar with competing applications like Question Mark, Survey Gyzmo, Survey Monkey, Red Cap, etc., but I have heard from those who have used those other programs, that Qualtrics CoreXM is superior in functionality, customization, and reporting.

]Qualtrics] CoreXM is great if you want something that is a little more [long] lasting and impactful than a simple survey engine, but aren't quite ready for something that is a long term sustainable program. I would put [Qualtrics] CoreXM squarely in the large, defined project phase. CX is more of the program phase, and other lessor vendors are great for the pre-project definition phase

Survey Monkey does not have the advanced capabilities that Qualtrics does. Being able to tailor your survey to specific individuals using the skip and display logic is simple, yet innovative. You can also manage the survey from the same platform that it was created and sent. Being able to manage everything from creation to distribution in one program makes the survey process simple and more effective. You simply cannot do this in a program like Survey Monkey.

We usually just use Qualtrics on a company wide basis. Sometimes if it's a smaller group of people within, someone will set up a Survey Monkey survey. Both work well, Survey Monkey is free and you don't need the company credentials so that is helpful when not doing something that is important such as company wide surveys. We use Survey Monkey for voting on fun things - like best costume.

Survey Monkey is the only competitor I am aware of for Qualtrics. While Survey Monkey also offers a free account, its options are vastly inferior to Qualtrics and the interface is riddled with ads. If you are in need of a Qualtrics account, it is worth looking into a business account from your institution or company, because these accounts are incredible and more robust. They are worth it, especially when compared to Survey Monkey.

None of the other options that I have tried were as customizable as Qualtrics both in question types and display modes. Qualtrics provides much more data analytics options and more variety for export options. Qualtrics also looks and feels professional - many of the other options look like they are free websites that would not be able to stand up to confidentiality or anonymity standards.

In the past, I have found SurveyMonkey to be appropriate for simple surveys to gather information back quickly. However, Qualtrics provides a whole new level of detail and analytics to surveys that SurveyMonkey just cannot match. We spend a lot of time developing surveys to gather feedback, so our organization feels like we need a tool that can truly capture the details and nuances that we aspire to in our surveys.

Qualtrics is better because the design is more professional. It has so much more in-depth analysis of responses. Qualtrics is compatible with SPSS while Google Forms isn't. Qualtrics adds a degree of sophistication that its competitors do not have. Qualtrics allows for previews on various devices such as tablets, mobile, and computers.

SurveyMonkey was okay but Qualtrics was so much more powerful in almost every way. Programming complicated survey flows in SurveyMonkey was difficult and limited but with Qualtrics, it's so easy that it no longer feels complicated. Qualtrics also uses ExpertReview to help with survey methodology so even those with a basic understanding of survey methodology can do well with it.

Qualtrics is one of the most user-friendly survey tools in the market. Our team often looks to Qualtrics as the gold standard for template creation and sharing. Furthermore, the customization options within the platform enable your business - or specific business team to create content that feels unique and personalized for your target audience. Overall, the experience that Qualtrics offers is incredible and fosters both collaboration and learning among creators and respondents alike. I would personally recommend the platform to any enterprise considering the investment.

Qualtrics is better for those wanting a more complex system that can handle larger/more complex surveys and do more on the analysis (both quantitative and qualitative) side.
Survey monkey is a great tool for a cheap cost which our other departments use a lot, but for our research needs, we needed Qualtrics.

QuestionPro and Qualtrics are very similar powerful products, perhaps because the QuestionPro founders split off from Qualtrics. Both have feature sets that are slightly better than SurveyGizmo and much more extensive than SurveyMonkey. Only REDCap has significantly more power, including longitudinal surveys and full database features that none of the others have. REDCap is also free, but it's also quite a bit harder to use than any of the others. Still, compared to how hard things like SAS or MATLAB are, REDCap is trivially easy. Survey creators just expect the products to be easy.

The Campus Lab product was also great. I actually preferred it for campus use as they had a much better support for people who did not have a background in survey construction. That would have been great for faculty. But as someone trained in survey research, I found both products were great. Flashlight was great for the time it was introduced. Survey instruments have greatly improved in the last twenty years. Survey Monkey was ok for the cheap price, but Qualtrics can do so much more.
