We were using custom software that did much of what we wanted, however, creating new features or changing existing ones took a lot of time to implement and a full-time position to do it. We were also using Quickbooks in many departments, enough that we needed a 30 user license. QuickBase was able to take over many of the non-accounting features of Quickbooks and so basically only the accountants use QuickBooks now and everyone else uses QuickBase. Some of the features that we moved over include purchase orders, sales orders, inventory, lot tracing, invoices for manufacturing, and shipping.

Quick Base has a different use case than Zendesk which is ticket triaging that is customer-facing. Quick Base is internally focused like JIRA but also not as development team heavy. If Quick Base could strike a nice balance to only cater to the needs of internal management teams then it could differentiate based on such features. However right now Quick Base doesn’t have the functionality of the competition and also has nothing to differentiate it from the pack.

We did several reviews of alternative options that would provide the same functionality and we always found that the setup wasn't always more intuitive. We would find that they werent mobile capable and they required some detailed training on how to use the system. we have been able to train users on this system with limited training.

Although also a nice competitor, it is still very linked to the Microsoft ecosystem which we do not use that extensively. Also building apps and linking their data was more straight forward in Quick Base.

I used PointClickCare for many years, but in a different setting altogether: different industry and different role in that industry. I had no problems with their user interface or obtaining any information needed in my day-to-day or month-to-month operations.

I apologize I cannot be of more help in this regard, as I am still amazingly new to Quick Base.

I used Asana for project management, which is a bit different than how I'm using Quick Base. Asana has better UI/UX-- I think a bit more intuitive and pleasing interface. This is not a deal-breaker, and nice to have but honestly, it's nice. Also, I'm using the free version of Asana so that's definitely a plus.

Coming from a traditional IT model where in-house IT staff were always responsible for developing and testing and deploying apps, I have never been in a situation where a platform for creating and deploying apps was put into the hands of the business teams. QuickBase was recommended by one of our managers as he had used the platform at another company. We did not compare this product against other products before making the decision to purchase.

Before Quick Base, we used a few different tools to try and maintain the information on our projects. Such tools were Workzone, Quickbooks Online, and Excel spreadsheets. We've been able to utilize Quick Base 100% for our needs thus far, letting other subscriptions be canceled, which helps the bottom line.
