Quickbase

There’s nothing like Quick Base for the price. Nothing out there out of the box is 100% customizable.

I have worked on MS SharePoint server 2013, Office 365/SharePoint online, Service Now, JIRA and also evaluated KiSSFLOW.

The benefit of Quick Base is that normal people can work on it day to day. You can do some really cool things if you understand a little javascript or how to use the API but just getting the basics you can make any business process faster, more accountable, and more visible.

WebEx provided similar structure, but did not offer relationships, importing, and many other capabilities. It ended up serving only a portion of our needs and left us vulnerable to timely completion of work concerns. We did like the folder structure for our "Document Library" and was able to partially construct that layout when we came to Quick Base, but the other benefits more than made up for the lack of a true folder structure that Quick Base did not offer.

It was 3 years ago that we did our comparison with other options, however the flexibility and feature set of Quick Base and the price point, made Quick Base an easy decision. Also, the age and stability of the company.

Quick Base was already adopted before my tenure began. It wasn't being used to the full capabilities and figured if we were paying for it we might as well use it correctly. I got educated and began utilizing the many features to improve our business process and efficiencies. We had many other off the shelf products that didn't fully meet our needs or had way too many bells and whistles. Quick Base has really pressed our company to be a leader in the industry.

None (SO FAR) but we're always looking to make sure we're using the best tool for our operations.

We was so impressed by the quickbase demo that we didn't look anywhere else

Quick Base was MUCH more flexible and utilitarian. It did not restrict us, or make us conform our processes to their software, as many other solutions do. It has back ups, security, and support so that we are not alone. The community forums are great too. Lots of learning provided.

Quick Base is 1000 times more intuitive and does a lot of the work for you. Microsoft Access is very much for users that actually do know how to code-if you ask me.

We enjoyed the cloud-based set up of Quick Base. Microsoft Access also required more detailed database knowledge. Microsoft Project required expensive user licensing. We also need a program that would run it easily on Apple iPads.

I did not select Quick Base. Our organization was already using it, therefore, I did not see any point to go to an alternative vendor.

But easier to use.

Quick Base is easier to build and customize than Access and Oracle. It also scales better than Access.

While each of the above has its own strengths and advantages, it’s the ability to quickly customize Quick Base in-house that always set it ahead of the others.

Quick Base is fully customizable and better at reporting than Infusionsoft.

I've used Zoho Creator, MS Access and MS Excel to try to create relational databases to house and report information. Quickbase is definitely easier and more flexible. Zoho Creator is structured slightly differently and has a few more features. It'd be great if Quickbase cherry picked what they're doing well and incorporated those into their system.

Since we've had it for a while, I don't really recall what we looked at in competition. Our initial interest was CRM, so most of the competitors were specifically CRMs.

Quick Base is much easier to use than SAP, which is more labor intensive to develop.

Quick Base does more than SharePoint can do and does not have as much of a learning curve as MATsSoft does. For our organization, Quick Base is simply more user-friendly. Business professionals can use Quick Base without any coding knowledge. By not relying on IT professionals, Quick Base app deployment is much quicker.

We have evaluated Salesforce App Cloud and we find that Quickbase requires less technical expertise with comparable deliverables at a lower price point.

I looked into possible alternatives to QuickBase such as TrackVia, Basecamp, and Salesforce. However in my case I had previous experience with QuickBase so I knew the ins and outs and was therefore biased towards QuickBase. With that in mind as I was looking at possible alternatives they each seemed to lack the simplicity that QuickBase has.

More flexibility, more user friendly, more everything!

Archer is a good vendor risk management tool that tracks workflow process. I believe with the right personnel and developer, QuickBase can help achieve the similar functionalities.
