Unless you have a SQL server database attached to your SharePoint site, SharePoint is not even in the same league as QuickBase with regards to functionality.

Salesforce.com, verva crm, and service max are designed for specific processes within the customer resource management realm. You can customize those applications, but typically need a developer to do so. We build our own quick base apps for a lot less money.

Excel required more manual updating to keep data synchronized. Users often emailed copies of spreadsheets that were outdated almost as soon as they were received. We had less control over how the data was inputted in the spreadsheets while Quickbase allows us to customize form rules based on the required functionality.

We have looked at quite a few different options for CRM as well as POS replacements. Many factors led us to Quick Base as the final decision. Two of the biggest reasons were product cost and customization ability. Quick Base comes as a blank slate for creating apps and tables for whatever you can possibly need to create. We are in a specialty retail business, and no other system we could find gave us the ability to customize to our liking, without spending a whole lot more money. Quick Base takes a little work to learn, but once you start getting the hang of it, you can truly make it fit your needs almost perfectly. There are available add-ons and integrations that can give you all the functionality you could want.

1. Salesforce - SF is very popular on but is painful to create true custom apps on. QB has less functionality out of the box but is way easier to customize. 2. Traditional Web stack (Ruby on Rails, PHP, Bootstrap, Javascript, MySQL, Postgres, etc) The traditional web stack has come a long way in our ability to create applications quickly. However, having a platform like QB take care of the underlying infrastructure, provide role based security, robust reporting that is easily user customizable and a quick and simple development environment is so great that it makes up for a lot of the sacrificed flexibility. One major drawback with QB however is the lack of internationalization.

If you don't know any programming languages, it's no problem to get started with Quick Base. On-line guides and prompts, plenty of examples and help are always available. There are template sample databases available for modification, and these provide a great opportunity to understand the inner workings of QuickBase. We are able use our databases as a team, and don't worry about overwriting another person's work

I've lately found Quickbase lagging in being able to easily build dashboards from the data versus Microsoft BI as an example. However, for smaller scale projects/items, I do still prefer Quickbase. It's more on the larger scale cross-team projects where there seems to be a gap forming.

Quick Base stands apart as the only solution with the flexibility, reliability, and functionality that could handle all of our needs while remaining affordable. There are well developed and expensive options available but in many cases your business needs to adapt to adopt the application. QuickBase adapted to us which made adoption easy.

Quickbase is just a very user friendly, low-code, robust solution that doesn't take a highly paid and extensive IT staff to maintain. There are certainly high-end features which benefit from skilled technical staff or outsourcing to a solution provider, but for day to day use of the platform, Quickbase is built to be a self-service tool. We don't like solutions that can't be maintained by the users after we build them. Instead of handcuffing a client to a solution and needing us for every little thing, we like that Quickbase can be a right fit for different types of clients, large and small.

I've looked at some other ones. I believe Amazon has one that I looked into, but it looked a lot more complicated than what Quickbase offers. There was another one that was suggested for me to look into. I think it was a Microsoft version of once again looked into it, I was like, you still need to have some technical knowledge behind it in order to make it function.Whereas Quickbase, you don't need that. It's set out pretty plain language for anybody to pick up and start using.

Quickbase offered more flexibility, integrations, and performance better than any of the solutions we used or evaluated. While every solution has its merits, when you step back and look at the ROI and time to implement, Quickbase was a good fit for our organization. When you compare the financial investment, it was well suited for growing SMBs.

Netsuite is used in our sales department and is easily understandable from the dropdown menu's provided. However, I have never built an application through Netsuite so i do not have any opinions on that.
