I did not come from a computer science background, so to be able to use this platform and grow it myself, making multiple tables, fields, and relationships, with very little guidance from a true developer is super powerful. With Quickbase, you don't need to have that kind of background, it's easy to learn! The university is great, as well as, support from within the organization when needed. Plus there's this whole partner program which my company, Juiced Technologies is a member of. For lack of better words, this is a resources where you can find experts in building and designing Quickbase specifically. QuickBase is designed to make it easy to update existing applications which is why involving these experts at any stage of your build can be extremely beneficial.

Probably just to start off probably like maybe four or five. You do have to do a little bit of knowledge and they have Quickbase University so you can do a little bit of training there. But once you get the hang of it, it is really exciting. You really want to just go full forward on it because you're like - I'm building like an app. So that's really fun.

Depends on how dumb they are. That's a range of outcomes question. Like I have customers who are very technically savvy and it's very easy to coach them. And then I have customers I've been working on for 18 months and it's painful.

I definitely think there's a level of ramp up that you have to have with any I didn't know Quickbase a year and a half ago. And I spent some time in Quickbase University was wrapped up pretty quickly on the application got certified. It took me, a couple months to really feel comfortable with the application.<br><br>So really quickly it was easy to, for me to get integrated, understand what we could do, what we couldn't do. Again, I'm learning every single day, but it's think for non-technical folks a great way to move into being able to build a tool that will support your workflows. And you don't have to be a developer to do that.

So I would say I'm a very non-technical person and it is a little difficult for me. But I do find when I go to build a application, there's a lot of templates. And a lot of ones people already use and that's what I use. It helps me a lot.

There are several non-technical people within the company that have built Quickbase apps before a dedicated Quickbase development team was formed. It's fairly easy to figure out how to get what you need. Developers will be able to employ better practices and provide cleaner structure and cleaner data.

I am a non-technical person. I came from the 911 world. I was a 911 dispatcher. I knew how to work programs, but actually building them, I had some basic Excel skills. It took me about a year before I felt good about the work that I was doing. But if you can dream it, you can build it is the thought process. So I don't think you need to have very much, I think you need to have some basic understanding of spreadsheets and things like that, that you can apply to Quickbase. And then once you start learning how all of this stuff works together, it just keeps growing.

I didn't have a background in development at all. With something, it's like I'm a, I have to do it to learn, so sometimes it just takes me a while. I'm the only one who does any building or anything. But, so yeah, that, I have had challenges with that just cuz I feel like, I know there's a lot more I could probably figure out how to do, but I'm like, I don't know if I can sit down for hours and figure this out on without help. So yes, to me, I do find it help exists for either watching the YouTube videos or the community thing. Reaching out to somebody who might know what to do, that kind of thing.

To design basic databases and input forms, Quickbase makes that very easy. It does have a small learning curve based on the UI. With a few more advanced skills, you can really bring data visualizations to light. Pipelines are a great utilization tool and will continue to grow as it involves. If you invest some development time, code pages and query formulas really open the platform to unique configurations.

Very hard for me!! A very non-tech person. I do not know how to code or how to effectively build pipelines. Using Quickbase university was helpful however, takes a lot of time to study and practice to set up. Would love to see more prompts during the building process to help guide me to the right way on building a pipeline. I would love to see the opportunity to hire someone from Quickbase to help me build the application to exactly what I want. I already have it all planned out but would love to have a Quickbase employee available for hire to build it for me or assist in building it. I contacted them once before where we video-chatted about pipelines but I was just as lost after the fact. Or to have an application available where I write out all the things I am trying to do and it will build the pipeline for me (for example, Lucid Chart that can build an application for me but not a pipeline).

This would be quite difficult for someone who has no database experience or technical design experience, unless of course they're using a pre-built application. A business analyst can describe the flow but when it comes to the framework of table relationships, master keys, and fields someone with technical experience is very much required, especially when the fun features come into play where HTML coding is required.

As for myself, I am part of the non-technical citizen developers, and it has been challenging in the beginning. Now, after 5 years I can say that it is a tool easy to use, that requires experience and study of the courses delivered by Quickbase. Anytime an issue appeared, the help team is ready to solve and assist.

Citizen developers, or as Quickbase calls them Business Users / Business Builders, are the heart of Quickbase. I truly believe that anyone who wants to build applications in Quickbase can. The platform on its own is very intuitive, but even better Quickbase has a plethora of free accessible resources.
-Quickbase University is invaluable for video and practice-along courses to get builders up and running in no time.
-Community discussion boards contain answers and ideas for every challenge I've ever encountered.
-Quickbase's help guides are thorough.
-The customer service is prompt and helpful.
-Outside videos like Quickbase Junkie provide additional support.

Was able to build a highly complex project management system with automations with zero experience in roughly a week that has become the cornerstone of all of our workflows. Handles project tracking, workload assignment, database collections, reporting out and more. Limited programming experience prior on software just a good understanding of process flows.

It is best to have some amount of database experience, but [it] can be done without that knowledge. Setting up reports is something that all users should learn to use to be able to be independent in putting together their needed reports.

We often had to train new users on how to build reports using the data they wanted. Many users would want to pull reports from multiple tables but lacked the understanding of how to determine which tables or columns were required. Once training was provided we left the users to their own tinkering and rarely had to have follow-up training.

Honestly, you don't need to be technical to build applications on Quickbase. Any time that I've had any questions, [I can look either to] the help center or the Quichbase community where you can post [inquiries]. Both [these] options have [come to the] rescue quickly. I began my Quickbase journey as a low-level IT employee which quickly morphed into Quickbase admin. The Quickbase community has been my biggest asset, and I love to answer questions [so] I can help others.
