We all work on each other's applications all the time. With a small team here we are able to quickly make changes to applications on the fly and to understand what was setup and what needs to be changed in the application to get the desired outcome. Whether just adding a field or doing major brain surgery it is easy and simple.

Example Apps have been very useful when looking at the implementation of new projects. We have used Document Library, Many-to-Many and Time Card Apps as the basis for our development of Apps with similar functionality to meet our needs. Once you have a basic understanding of Quickbase and review the functionality built into the APp, it is fast and easy to make any necessary changes to the App and implement to meet your specific needs.

QuickBase is great at making small changes to improve efficiency as well as adding whole new feature sets quickly as the needs of our organization change or new questions are asked. Maintaining the existing applications is simple and can be done manually or via importing data or via the API capabilities. Last fall, we realized that we were missing a lot of data that could be provided from our estimating software and our CRM platform. Within a few weeks, we have isolated the exact data that we wanted to come across from these packages and built the API feature set to bring this data into our QuickBase app as each new project was imported.

We are continually updating one of apps to streamline and simplify the process for our teams to input information, and also update what information is now needed. Working in an ever evolving industry, Quick Base makes it easy to make those changes, and not lose historical data. On the Marketing side, we've changed how we report expenses so it will line up with our finance departments tracking. This has been huge in verifying spend and ensuring it is coded correctly in both departments.

We have recently changed our name due to an acquisition. Quick Base provides the ease of changing the names with a single entry. You choose the name throughout the app to change and enter the new name. Whether it's 5 or 500 it changes the particular name throughout. This saves countless minutes or hours.

Someone called me this week asking for a change to an application that was built by someone else and is no longer with our company. I was able to make the change quickly. The business stake holder was very happy with the quick turn around.

We constantly always update "Tweak" our apps. In our environment, the landscape changes all the time, with new alignments, customer server agreements, trends, products, educational developments and training. in our Climate we are always shifting, and QB allows us the agility and functionality to shift rapidly with in culture and environment. Because QB is very dynamic, it allows us to make these updates quickly and on the fly, and almost always these updates go as expected.

Quickbase apps are easy to update, I do have one app that Ive built that requires constant update requests from the department that i built the app for. If it's a visual or naming update, the department have the ability and know how to do it, but for functionality updates I usually update the app for the department.

Within a 4 tables direct one-to-many relationship, we decided to cut out the third step. I have to migrate all the data and change the relationships and basically the entire workflow. Because Quick Base is easily updated I was able to do it in a matter of hours!

While tracking our work complete two final invoicing, we noticed there was a bottleneck at some point in our process. We were able to track three separate processes within our billing cycle to be able to identify the bottleneck and negate it

It went fairly easy and quick when updating and maintaining an existing application. After figuring out where everything was, it went quick. I did not find any difficulty doing so. There were a few bumps in the road but I was able to pull up the help guide and it was able to solve any issues I had.

I make additions, changes and/or tweaks almost every week. I developed an app for a large wayfinding signage project. The project involved designing, building and installing 5,000 signs in a new hospital. During the course of the project, the client had fallen behind in their approval process for the textual content for each sign - which was being done in Excel. I modified the app to allow for the client to accept the recommended text or enter new text, while adding auditing capabilities, so that we had documentable proof of who accepted or modified the text - and when. It worked flawlessly, and we then also knew which signs were not ready to be built.

When we go through major release updates with our software, certain pieces of information become important for a limited time. We have been able to create tracking options that help us move all customers through releases in the order that makes the most sense for us without letting anyone fall through the cracks, coordinating communication from development to support to customers to sales and back, and keeping everyone pretty well informed of progress, changes and associated costs.

Recently we found an issue with one of our apps that help us maintain our inventory counts. There was a problem with the FIFO logic we had implemented through a custom code page. We were able to get the page updated, delete the bad counts in grid edit view and recreate them correctly. The whole process took less than a couple of hours.

I'm constantly updating our live production application. Anytime there's new data that the team needs to keep track of it's as simple as adding a new field and selecting which forms/reports that it should be on. If needed we'll create an additional table to track the new data and quickly create a connection to it's related tables and that's it.
The same goes for charts and graphs as well, we just select the type of chart we want, which data it needs to show and which records to include and within a couple minutes we're done.
