Quickbid has proven to be a valuable tool for the construction industry, providing a range of use cases that have been praised by users and customers alike. The software's auto-management models and verification sequences have greatly aided in the calculation of financial programming and budget estimation for real estate construction projects. Users have reported that Quickbid streamlines the pricing process across their company, integrates seamlessly with other software, and allows for faster bid creation with accurate cost and scope of work calculations. This not only reduces human errors but also improves customer service and project completion time.

In addition to its pricing capabilities, Quickbid simplifies communication between estimating and project management teams, as well as with purchasing departments and project foremen. By offering a unified platform and cost database for estimators throughout the company, it enables efficient collaboration and cross-checking of work. Notably, Quickbid's detailed reports have proven invaluable in various phases of the business, from estimating projects accurately to storing complete records of costs and assumptions. This software has empowered companies to expedite project completion, bid on more work, and enhance overall project management efficiency.

Furthermore, Quickbid excels in its ability to generate comprehensive reports for both office and field use. Its usefulness extends beyond estimating projects; users have successfully leveraged Quickbid for analyzing budgets and compiling project costs during proposal presentations. Specifically within the Self Perform division of the construction industry, it has become an essential tool for tasks such as drywall installation, carpentry, demolition, and painting. Although some users note that Quickbid may come with a higher price tag compared to similar systems on the market, its robust functionalities make it a worthwhile investment for organizations seeking accurate estimates, streamlined bidding processes, and efficient project cost management.

Efficient Workflow: Users have found the databases and assemblies in Quick Bid to be extremely helpful in streamlining their workflow and creating complete proposals in less time compared to other methods. Many reviewers appreciated the program's robust and fast interface, which allowed for immediate action and analysis of projects. Some users also mentioned that the software's automated template results and efficient coordination of computer assets contributed to a more efficient workflow. Customization Options: The software was praised for being fully functional and customizable, making it a pleasure for trained estimators to use. Users liked the ability to create custom codes and cost codes, which allowed for more flexibility in estimating. They found the software to be very intuitive and easy to use, with features like organizing everything and making it printable. Reviewers also appreciated the ability to create custom reports and adjust various aspects of the software to suit their company's needs. Integration with On-Screen Takeoff: The real-time link between Quick Bid and On-Screen Takeoff was a favorite feature among users. This integration eliminated the need to transfer measurements manually, saving time and ensuring accurate pricing. Users praised this feature for its convenience and efficiency in bid estimation tasks. Overall, users have had positive experiences with Quick Bid, citing its efficient workflow capabilities, customization options, seamless integration with On-Screen Takeoff as major pros of the software.

Expensive Cost: Some users have expressed dissatisfaction with the software's pricing, considering it to be on the higher side compared to other options in the market. They feel that the cost of the software is not justified by its features and functionality.

Lag and Slow Performance: Several reviewers have reported experiencing lag and slow performance after the latest update. This issue seems to be particularly prominent when making changes to markups and editing conditions connected to OST. Users find this delay frustrating as it hampers their workflow efficiency.

Occasional Disconnection with Quick Bid: Users have occasionally encountered disconnection problems between OST and Quick Bid. To continue working, they had to reconnect the two components of the software. This interruption in connectivity disrupts their productivity and adds unnecessary steps to their work process.

Users commonly recommend the following from the context:

  1. Building databases: Many users recommend building databases within the software to save time and increase efficiency in bidding projects. They advise understanding the requirements for building a database and watching demonstration videos to fully utilize this feature.
  2. Configuring the software: Users suggest spending time configuring the software to personal needs. They believe that customizing the software according to their specific requirements can enhance its usefulness and effectiveness.
  3. Investing in training: Users advise investing in training to better utilize the software. They believe that with practice and training, the software can be a powerful tool for estimators and support staff in construction monitoring and administration.

This is more of an application for companies who are involved in mass bid submissions and do tenders for large scale construction works. In the scenarios of construction business the mass bidders can use this solution relly well. The calculations and reporting also helps with accurate estimations of tenders and bids.

Quick Bid is a very usefull software for calculating construction estimates. As we are the service providers many companies tieup with us for solutions our construction users I always recommend Quick Bids for analysing whole budget and calculating proper estimate of material with a plan. This application finds risk factors and makes it possible to make less differences to gain material quotes.
  • allows users to divide the number of supplies by floor.
  • generates report after analysing risk factors.
  • provides support to contractors for making proper bid estimates.
  • difficult to make different codes for same type of materials.
  • costly product
  • Diificult for new users to adapt the software.
If I talk about my experience with Quick Bid its very suitable towards the situation where i was on any bid it gives me proper labor, material and payroll cost handy. And scenarios where its not suitable was difficult to make codes for same materials and tough to maitain software due to high cost.

Quick Bid is primarily used in our Self Perform division for drywall, carpentry, demolition, and painting. It is by far the best software for this type of work. It is very efficient compared to other options. The features allow for numerous reports to be generated for both office and field use. I can't imagine doing the quality and quantity of work without it.
  • Quick Bid easily allows users to build assemblies and price projects with high levels of detail.
  • The E-Quote option saves a huge amount of time in analyzing vendor quotes and keeping things organized.
  • The initial setup of the database can take a fair amount of time to set up, but once complete it can be used for years with only small additions to fit the users' needs.
  • I have been waiting for the schedule of values option to be complete to help aid in billing. it was supposed to be released, but I have not seen it rolled out yet.
Quick Bid is the perfect choice for anyone that wants to put together detailed estimates in a very efficient manner. We price out jobs, including everything needed, down to the screws. It allows you to be very detailed if necessary, or very general by just adding man-hours or allowances.

  • Quick Bid has had a huge ROI for our company. We would not have been able to grow and take on our large projects without it.
  • The efficiency added for the estimators allows us to take on more projects with less staff.
I have tried numerous options for estimating software, and they all fall short on the efficiency and organization the Quick Bid has. They were all cumbersome to use and didn't allow for much customization.
The customer support has been great. They have helped us work through any issues that have come up.

We're using Quick Bid in our preconstruction department. We use it along with OST. It's a tremendous help in compiling our project costs so that it can be presented in proposal format.
  • We can put together assemblies that give a true representation of our costs.
  • It allows us to dial in markups in certain areas and in the project overall.
  • Being able to simplify reports once estimate is complete.
  • Being able to edit assemblies with an entry level user.
It is well suited for dialing in on construction pricing for projects that have various types of subcontractor trade-specific items. More suited for trade-specific contractors. Not sure how well this software would work with a general contractor.

  • It's suited us very well for what we need and what we're looking for in an estimating software.
  • We're carrying a 15% hit ratio on all work priced with this software
We stopped using ProEst because it was going to cloud-based storage, was getting real buggy. It was also bogging down our servers.
Very quick response whenever help is needed.

QuickBids with QuickBid

Quick Bid has been used within our organization, Anning Johnson Company, for quite some time now. Instead of having all three departments involved and make the transition at the same time, we actually started our interiors division pioneer the product for us and be the guinea pigs sort of say.
  • Eliminates the human error of transferring quantities from a take-off to an Excel estimate spreadsheet.
  • Allows changes to be made very easily.
  • Allows you to reassign areas for breakout purposes.
  • Would like it to be a little more user friendly at startup.
  • Would like to have more support from the software customer service to see how we can use it in different departments within our company.
  • Better short-cut keys for quicker tasks.
Quick Bid, like On Screen Take-Off, are very similar in ways that you, as a person or company organization, benefit from using the program. The upside, for me personally, of Quick Bid is that you can reassign areas very easily. When you first start a project you don't always know what type of customer you're dealing with so it's nice to have the flexibility to change your pricing based on different areas.

  • Savings in time.
  • Savings in human error mistakes.
  • Ability to organize information fairly easy for internal tracking purposes.
  • Excel
Due to the fact that our company is typically "late to the show" when it comes to new technology and programs, we have been using an outdated technique for estimating, tracking, and organizing projects. Excel does not compare at all against Quick Bid. There are numerous amounts of benefits that Quick Bid has over Excel.
