I liked it very much, it is very convenient, the aim was to use it for small businesses with its features that allow you to get things done quickly and easily. The QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise is considered one of the best programs that perform accounting operations and is used in small companies, where it enables the user to work on accounting tasks.
  • Made for small to mid-sized product-based businesses.
  • Once you use the program, you will be amazed at how important the tool is and how it can be used to analyze and manipulate numbers.
  • Saves a lot of time and money than if you do all the things manually.
  • It can only be accessed from the desktop, you cannot access it on the web, so I think this is a missing functionality and at the same time important feature.
  • The purchase order given to us cannot be tracked and the remaining amount is to be paid.
  • I wish there was the ability to produce different reports separate from the current one.
  • The customer support is amazing, they are always quick to answer.
I see that everything is acceptable and good especially the customer service, because when a problem occurs to us, it takes a little time for them to solve it and answer the inquiry and some questions, and I think this is great for getting to work faster and not wasting time.

I have years of experience using this product with a previous company. This is a very good resource when tracking employees' wages, hours, and production. I would definitely recommend this product for a small business of 50 or less. Worth it for the business and your own peace of mind.
  • Tracking spending
  • Tracking invoices
  • Tracking monthly income
  • Need real-time updates
  • better tech support
  • need 24 hour customer service
At one point in time when using this product, we were invoicing over six figures on a weekly basis, and was very easy to track and understand using this software. This was consistent for 3+ months and kept track of all money coming in and expenses going out. Very good balance!

Billing out client work orders and doing the invoicing for the same work orders. In my opinion, it is consistently problematic.
  • None
  • In my opinion, there is zero isolation between departments. Each department has a specific sales/work order/invoice numbering scheme. When one department whose numbering starts with ABC puts in a number, for example, ABC11234 it's reflected across the entire enterprise, even if the other department(s) numbering is different, for example, DEF54321, when that department starts a new entry, they have to look up their last numeric entry. Otherwise, if they open a new sales ticket, it's going to start with ABC11235 rather than DEF54322. A Grade-A time-wasting pain in the neck.
  • QuickBooks advertising and/or messages that should be the system administrator's domain show up on everyone's computer, despite checking off the "Don't show this again" option.
Only suitable for small one-department businesses.

Great product. With its little brother, QuickBooks Desktop scales from 1 user to 30 users. Handles small through medium-sized companies plus some very large organizations. Easier to implement than, say Dynamics GP. The ongoing cost of ownership is reasonable. Provides most organizations with needed functionality. Has useful add-ins for specific needs. Overall, very competitive in a tough market.
  • Easy to format and modify account numbers.
  • Customer billing and collections are easy to customize for user needs.
  • Inventory offers both standard and advanced capabilities.
  • Payroll can be done in house or using 3rd party vendors.
  • Enterprise had excellent user support in a universe dominated by QuickBooks users.
  • Despite a more advanced database used in Enterprise, large transaction counts may slow processing.
  • Advanced financial statement presentation may require either their Financial Statement Writer module, advanced Excel spreadsheets, or other 3rd party products.
  • Unique inventory builds may require third party products such as FishBowl.
A client has 40+ entities it owns. Easy to set up multiple companies with standard account charts, financial statements, etc. Enterprise has a consolidation feature that is very useful. User counts can be added as needed. User functionality is easily managed at a very granular level. Complex inventory issues such as intricate assemblies can be offloaded to products such as FishBowl.

I use Quickbooks Enterprise to account for a small side business that I started and own. The decision to use it was based on my experience from my "day job" as a manager at a medium-sized trucking company.
  • Non-accountant entry of financial information.
  • Reporting of operational and financial accounting information.
  • Ease of initial start-up.
  • Easier generation of custom reports.
  • Integration with multiple organizations.
  • Ease of developing depreciation schedules.
Since my experience using this is on a relatively low-level business volume, I would definitely recommend this for a small, start-up business where the user was going to be a non-data entry or accounting person. I would be cautious recommending it for larger businesses that might be supported better with a different package.

QuickBooks is our only accounting program. Our use goes back to 1993. Before integration with our industry-specific program, QuickBooks was our only billing and accounting program. Since integration QuickBooks has become an add-on to our main billing program. QuickBooks performs the tasks that would be done manually and the ability to pay our taxes is important as we are now in 14 states. QuickBooks value is incalculable when dealing with at least 20 different taxing locations.
  • Paying quarterly taxes in 20 jurisdictions.
  • Interfaces with several office management programs.
  • Has excellent support
  • The ability to easily shrink our company file To a more manageable size.
  • Establishing a chat support system would be nice.
  • Simplify the management of integraiions such as credit card expense programs.
Basic accounting functions are superb once the initial setup is completed. But the time spent configuring add-ons and internal settings is unnecessarily complex. More best practice examples would be very helpful.

We use this software to Invoice customers (typically invoicing out 20-50 invoices per day), Receive goods into inventory for resale, record accounts payable invoices, process payments and receipts, process all financial reporting, payroll, payroll liabilities including Federal payroll taxes. We have 7 users. The biggest problems we have are limits with creating reports that are needed to run day to day operations of our business. Also, some reports do not contain all data in the fields, although the data does exist in the database. This software has not expanded through the years to be geared toward businesses that eventually require a large database. No helpful tools are available that I have found to successfully make remove old data from an archive and create the necessary journal entries for such so that the financial reporting is not altered during the process. We are recently experiencing quite a few errors causing a user to shut down and lose whatever their "work" such as in BILL PAY. Recently, I had an extremely large bill that I was paying and applying multiple credits (1.5 hours worth of work). Right toward the end, I saw a Bill that had the wrong Due Date, so I selected "Go to Bill" from within the Bill Pay screen. When I changed the due date on the bill and hit save, the system crashed and shut down, losing my entire 1.5 hours of work. This has happened several times recently so I assume something has changed with an update that is causing this error. We have never had this problem in the past. There are two things concerning Credits for our customers and also Credits from our vendors that are very lackluster. (1) When we apply for credits on account for our customers, the RECEIVER PAYMENT printout does not show how credits were applied. In fact, it does not reflect credits applied in any capacity. If a customer has a credit of $10 on the account and we accept that credit and use it as payment toward a $10 invoice on the customer's account, then press "PRINT" inside that screen, the printout contains no transactional information at all. It's as if nothing was done (of course the systems show the $10 invoice as paid which is accurate. We need better reporting/printouts for credits and discounts applied to customers' accounts. (2) The second is when applying Vendor credits to our Payable Accounts, it is a super tedious process. For extremely large Vendor accounts, this affects us most. While processing payment on as many as 200 invoices in a month for one Vendor, and as many as 30 credits for that same Vendor, you cannot filter the Bills by the due date, because the credits do not show properly, or at all as there is no "DUE DATE" or "USE BY" date within the credit memo itself. Also, we cannot scroll and quickly select multiple credits to apply to a single Bill or to multiple bills at once. I think the "select" tool in Bill Pay (and using credits) should be much like that in Reconciling a bank account. "Scrolling Selection" rather than only being able to select one single bill at a time would make the process much faster and more user-friendly. Maybe some companies would rather not have this option and it would be a huge asset to have this as an option to set in each user's preferences. The other significant drawback to reporting that hurts our company is INVENTORY REPORTS. To have multiple means of creating inventory reports and heavily filtered cycle counting reports was a tremendous asset to our company and I'm sure many others would highly value this as well.
  • Financial Reports
  • Ability to Setup Personalized Invoices for your Company
  • Ability to download data to Excel
  • Payment Receipt reports showing how Credits were applied to Customer Payment Receipts (Invoices)
  • Easier Method of Selecting Bills and Credits when paying Vendor Bills
  • More options to sort Report Data; currently limited to one field
  • The option to display more data fields in the Deposit Screen.
  • Determine why/correct Reports which do not "list" all data. The data is in the database but certain inventory reporting and Employee Data reporting fail to display all data
I think QuickBooks is very easy to learn for the eager learner. I was able to pick it up quickly and then research and learn how to create reports and download data for more reporting and usage. At that time, QuickBooks had a very useful and highly trained "help desk" available to paying customers of such and these representatives were able to help me through several issues we were facing. There are quite a few "USER PREFERENCES" which is very nice when using the software in a multiple-user setting. If you have or will have a very large database, QuickBooks has not expanded to compete in this area. We are finding as our database grows, some areas are very slow and also we are experiencing more "shutdowns" of the system. Also, particularly in a multiple-user setting, and when a user is in a RETAIL setting invoicing customers as they come in (such as with Tire Stores), some QuickBooks updates shut us down for a lengthy period of time, which we cannot afford during normal business hours. Right now, QuickBooks does not allow you to schedule all updates and there is no advanced notice if the update is a minor update not requiring a shutdown/reboot, nor does it state that all users will be required to install and reboot if one user updates. This has been one of our largest problems with QuickBooks in the past three years.

Enter new customers, invoices, and payments. Enter Subcontractor invoices. Pull Job Costing reports. The function of the program itself is user-friendly and works well for our needs. Keeping track of invoices, customer balances and customer contact information is made much easier by QB Enterprise. The notes tab within the customer window is also very handy for special circumstances regarding a specific customer. It allows us to read whatever circumstance we need to know about a customer before they are contacted (customer lies about sending payments, customer had problems with our work, customer's car was damaged during our work at their home, don't talk to the husband - only talk to the wife, etc.).
  • Allows for extra notes on customers.
  • Tracking customer invoices and due dates is easy.
  • Simple to pull Job Costing reports.
  • Invoice numbers are automatically generated and when an error happens, it's difficult to back track and get the invoice numbers populating correctly.
  • Updates are a HUGE problem - they are forced on users at different times and cause every user to stop using QB while the problem is being fixed.
  • It has taken about 2 hours on the phone with customer service every time we have an issue with just ONE user's update. This has happened twice in the last 17 days.
The biggest problems we've had so far are regarding updates. The updates don't always go through properly. And if one person's computer has a different version of the update (which happens often because QB forces you to update after a certain point) then it will sometimes lock another user out and give an error message saying someone needs to switch to multi-user mode. However, everyone is already in multi-user mode. So it's a problem within the program updates itself. Each time this happens we usually spend around 2 hours on the phone with customer service going back and forth between each computer system/QB user, running updates, checking the version of the update, restarting computers and QB over and over until the updates finally take. It is infuriating because our entire office cannot use QB during the time things are being fixed. So if your business could not function without QB for an hour or two during a work day to fix issues with updates, this version is going to cause you some serious problems.

The limitations of the software in inventory make it undesirable for an inventory sensitive business. The basic package when offered on a perpetual on-site-based installation is the best way to go for most small businesses as the IT requirements for a hosted solution can be larger than the business itself!! The reporting is neanderthal, it just needs new product management to fix it - this has been a problem for us forever. The licensing offered recently is not favorable for many small businesses and has driven some of my counterparts at other companies to go to another software package. The Asset tracking (from listing to depreciation and reporting) is not as capable as other packages so we just use an external source and then directly enter the data into QB. This should be an easy fix but is persistent over several versions/years. In my experience, customer support is just actually abhorrent.

We use QuickBooks for our complete accounting system. We switched from using Sage for over 25 years, due to everyone telling us we needed to switch because QuickBooks was so much more user-friendly and everyone knew the program. Biggest Mistake we have made in over 25 years!! Their customer support is a Complete Joke!! You spend hours on the phone just to get through to someone and then you get these nitwits that know Nothing about the program but can read your stock answers off their answer sheet only. QuickBooks has completely destroyed our accounting by trying to fix problems their product created, and yet you can never get through to anyone from corporate to actually get real help and take some responsibility because they are so well protected. If you are looking at purchasing a new Accounting Software Run from QuickBooks!! They may be used to being a good company with a decent product, but not in 2022!!
  • It is easy to use but unfortunately, it has so many glitches that it rarely works without problems.
  • They are Really Good at protecting their corporate people and not allowing end users to talk to them.
  • They are really Good at completely screwing up your accounting system and then taking no responsibility for it!!
  • Their customer service department or call answerers are really good at dropping calls after being on hold for hours!
  • Actually, Employee a Customer Service Department that can help people and not simply be call answerers.
  • Provide Corporate Support and Help with Easy Access!!
  • Take responsibility for when their product completely destroys your accounting system, like deleting over 20,000 customers due to a glitch in their program.
I honestly cannot think of Any Scenario that QuickBooks is well suited for, due to the lack of real customer support and glitches in their program that they do not take responsibility for. The best use for QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise is to Never Buy it!!

We use it to manage the various development projects we have as well as manage the operations side of our Senior living facilities and our multifamily units. The business problem the product addresses is helping us manage our cash flow into the various projects and operatiuons.
  • Reports
  • payroll
  • detailed summaries of various reports
  • Being able to customize certain reports to tailor to our needs as a company
  • a search feature to search for a specific vendor or bill
  • different collapsible sections in the P & L or balance sheet
One specific scenario where QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise is well suited for is managing our operations side of the real estate business. It allows us to set our budgets, follow those budgets and see in real time where our money is going. This has allowed us to manage the budgets at various facilities and allocate money appropriately to the areas where we are spending it the most or the areas where we need to spend more money on or allocate more money towards. It has helped us see where we have had some trouble spots so that we can address them.

We use Enterprise for manufacturing our products as well as all our financial reporting. It has allowed us to accurately track our raw materials, WIP, and Finished Goods as well as more efficiently purchase replenishment stock. Our users are able to quickly access inventory levels and create specific reports for easy access.
  • Financial Reporting
  • Inventory Tracking
  • Payroll
  • Reporting
  • Super Easy Search function
  • Needs the ability to share customized reports to specific people and not just all users
I have used every version of QuickBooks and Enterprise is by far, my favorite. You have the ability to add in modules and it does so much more than what we are using it for right now. I am excited to implement additional features as we grow. I will say that you do need at least one person who understands inventory flow well if you plan on using the manufacturing module. This is especially important at implementation. But once it's set up correctly and people are trained, it's very user-friendly, saves time & money, and is efficient.

Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise has been our go-to accounting solution for 15+ years. Originally used for invoicing, quoting, and basic reporting we now use it for Job cost tracking, Time & Material billing, payroll, and financials. We have approx 6 daily users and share the file without issues. The reports we generate include payroll, job costing, Balance sheet checking, and government remittances.
  • Invocing
  • Payroll
  • Customer Reporting
  • Vendor Reporting
  • Bill payments
  • Progress Billing without all the details from the original quote.
  • Adding verbiage to quotes/invoices that does not occupy a line in the quote/invoice.
  • Costing setup.
Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise is well suited for a business that has multiple daily entries, many bank accounts, and multi-users that require varying levels of access. It is also suited for those who process employee payroll, remit government remittances and utilize its full reporting capabilities. It is less appropriate for those who have basic daily transactions, a few accounts (bank & cc), and who do not use payroll features where a basic version of Desktop would suffice.

Following up on past-due accounts receivable balances for your sales orders is a task that no one appreciates. Thanks to automated payment reminders, which helps us to do the business follow-up at ease. And not only detecting clients with past-due account balances but also sends late-paying consumers an email notice that their payment is past due. You may also specify your own settings for emailing out reminders, building a list of chronically late-paying clients, or letting the Quickbooks send out notifications to everyone who is past due using the payment reminders tool. It's all up to our operations and understanding between the from and clients. You also don't have to wait until a payment is past due to take action.
  • Advanced reporting.
  • Order management.
  • Improved inventory management.
  • Pricing features.
  • We still depend upon third party services for uploading bank feeds.
  • Few banks do not provide bank feeds, converting PDF's to bank feeds is challenge.
  • If Quick Enterprise can build its own utility where we can convert PDFs to bank feeds. That would be great.
Year on year Quickbooks Enterprise edition is improving its performance when it comes to network editions where multi-use mode operations over a cloud server. Previous comparing from 2018 enterprise to 2022 enterprise. The optimization and file loading time has been much better, moreover with new features like advance reporting. This is really helping us to focus on essential indicators for our organization, we can modify any of the 200+ built-in reports by applying filters, adding or deleting data points, or adding custom fields. Save customized reports as templates so we can run or use them whenever we want.

We use Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise every day for our accounting general ledger and payroll. We keep fund balances, non-profit reports as well as profit and loss statements, and many other reports. Account and project balances. Pay liability payroll taxes. Budgeting. Invoices and account payroll, write both electronic and hard copy checks.
  • General Ledger accounting.
  • Payroll.
  • Reports that can be filtered and exported to Excel.
  • When exporting to Excel it adds extra columns that are not needed.
QuickBooks has specific reports for non-profits. Payroll works well. The tax reporting is updated regularly. Reporting is very good and can be defined and modified as needed. Some of the memorized transactions are hard to edit. Exporting to Excel works well except for the added columns that must be deleted.

This is used and was supported for a pre-K to 8th-grade private school and church that we supported. This is a very good tool. I would have liked to see this get moved to the cloud with all the features but it served the needs at the time. Its good for your small to medium-size business.

We use QB's enterprise for our larger business clients that have more than 10 employees, inventory, and several users needing access to the file.
  • Inventory
  • Track order fulfillment
  • Payroll processing
  • Pricing - (it can get expensive).
  • Not as user friendly as other intuit products.
  • Setting u a remote work environment can be challenging.
Enterprise is well suited for companies that need to have multiple people logged into the file at once. It is also well-suited for companies that require maintenance of inventory. We also use it for clients with large payrolls (typically over 20 employees). It's not appropriate for small-service-based clients, it's too clunky and tricky to navigate.

We use it for payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, job costing, and reporting for various business units within our company. Our bookkeeper uses it for day-to-day transactional level bookkeeping and bank reconciliation as well.
  • adding bills
  • subtracting expenses
  • P&L
  • 3rd party integrations
  • open API support
  • better customer service
  • faster product
  • better multi-user support
Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise is what you would use if you do not know any better. If you have limited use for accounting products and do not rely on using accounting software on a day-to-day basis I could see it better suited for that use case. If you rely heavily on the quick and proper operation this is not the product for you.

I use Quickbooks Desktop to keep track of all revenue and expenses for our company. I also pay invoices through this program.
  • The system has always been reliable.
  • The customer support online is very helpful.
  • The report selections fit the needs of our company.
  • I would like to see more integration with some of our other programs.
Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise allows me to track my company expenses and income which suits my needs. Some of the less appropriate features for me are payroll and invoicing. I have other systems that I use for those services that are discounted by our corporate fellowship with Ortho Florida of which we are members. Otherwise, I am sure these 2 programs would be an option for us.

My experience with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise is very good. It solves most of the financial problems. It is very easy to use, and customer support is very good. If you have an issue, you can simply reach out to customer support and they will help you solve your problem. It is a great accounting Software with Great functionality.
  • Very easy to set up. Also, they give first-time users a 30-day trial that is very beneficial
  • Everything is Customizable. Very easy to generate invoices and report
  • It is very user-friendly. Create invoices and also shows which bill is not paid
  • This software is good for small businesses.
  • Little time-consuming for creating multiple data.
  • Also, there is more possibility in improving in creating reports.
This one is Very good for small businesses or small family-oriented businesses. You don't need to hire someone to do a finance job for you. You can do it by yourself, and it is very easy to use. Definitely not good for a big size enterprise as it takes little time for creating multiple data.

We use quick books on a day to day basis for all our accounting needs
  • Invoice Creation
  • Payment Application
  • Bills Payment
  • When you are in the Payment application and you change an invoice it should not auto-select the invoices again
  • Backup in variably gives us rebuild errors
  • We should not have to go in to single user to change the income account for an item
Quick books are very scalable - they can be used by one-person corps as well as mega conglomerates. It is not suitable for PO based work/tracking PO amounts and usage

We currently have 3 offices in which all are using QuickBooks. QuickBooks allows our entire payroll team to input employee times and pay rates. QuickBooks has saved our company an enormous amount of time and allows us to be efficient in paying our employees. I would definitely recommend QuickBooks to anyone in payroll.
  • Allows our payroll team to be very efficient.
  • Allows us to be accurate when entering employee hours.
  • Helps in keeping our books in order.
  • Could be a little more user-friendly.
QuickBooks has been a very good tool for our company. Making sure that employees are paid on time and also paid correctly is a crucial part of keeping employees working for us. QuickBooks allows us to keep track of each of our employees and also our clients.

Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise was our primary financial software for many years, and before that, we used Quickbooks Premier. After continued business growth, we made the decision to switch to another software. This was supposed to help us with our growth, but after two years, we could not overcome the shortcomings of the new software. We then switched to a third software, and after another year, we are not much happier with this one. If Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise had but a smidge more product features, mainly relating to multi-entity companies, we would probably never leave. We still maintain our historical data which I reference occasionally throughout the year. I would recommend this product over any other products at the moment and would not advise any customers to switch to a different product. This product combines the best ease-of-use software with advanced functionality that makes it the best choice for most organizations.
  • Bank accounts and Bank Reconciliations.
  • Credit Card accounts and reconciliations.
  • The ability to fix incorrect data in a sensible way.
  • Custom reporting features.
  • Multi-Entity companies.
  • Inventory.
It is well-suited to almost all organizations that don't require heavy inventory use or have multi-entities that they would like to see rolled up. For the more basic companies, I would recommend a Quickbooks Pro product, but Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise is great for medium and up companies that don't require the above-mentioned items.
