What is QuickBooks Time?
QuickBooks Time (formerly TSheets) is a cloud-based time tracking and scheduling app that allows employees to clock in and out from the job site with the devices they’ve already got in their pockets. The vendor aims to help companies replace paper timesheets with accurate, electronic time data as well as make payroll and invoicing faster and less costly.
QuickBooks Time also accurately tracks time and GPS points (even without cell or internet service) then automatically syncs when back in service, making it a better (and cheaper) alternative to geofencing.
The Who’s Working” feature enables companies to see where employees are located and who’s working on what in real time. QuickBooks Time also features in-app scheduling that allows users to drag and drop shifts, assign jobs, see who’s working at a glance, and send alerts to managers if employees haven’t clocked in for a job or shift as scheduled.
The vendor offers free unlimited phone, email, and chat support to all customers.

T-Sheets Easy
- Employees and managers of the software effortlessly navigate the software to input and export time data. Managers can easily check, adjust and approve time for employees.
- Setting up new jobs and employees is intuitive.
- The computer application and mobile application make accessibility easy for all.
- Reports are run easily in a format easily applied to other applications.
- Syncing with quick books can be buggy. Close other applications to ease sync. DO not interrupt the sync.

Great implementation process of T-sheets! Eager to launch!

- Would like more flexibility on managers/groups.
- Would like calendar option for managers only (and not have to pay a per-employee cost). In other words, have managers see their schedules/calendars/PTO in a calendar view without needing to use the full features of the scheduling module.
Thanks for the support in solving syncing issues
- Allows for a lot of flexibility in the level of detail we can enter for job centers and customer jobs
- Has a nice mobile app
- Syncs to QuickBooks (usually) to allow us to run payroll straight from time sheets
- The sync with QuickBooks can be problematic
- The complexity makes it difficult to troubleshoot without support.
I was really happy with the customer support I received when a recent change on the QB side caused a big upset in our abiltiy to smoothly run payroll. Shawn was very knowledgable and helped me solve most of the issues.
TSheets is great!
- As an admin, you can easily setup employees and managers for appropriate approvals.
- Employees can clock in/out using mobile devices once enabled by an admin.
- The import/export process with QuickBooks is great.
- I wish there was an easier way than a spreadsheet upload to correct individuals' PTO balances.
TSheets to the rescue again!
- I really like the ease of monthly overtime reporting.
- GPS tracking is timely to review when you're reviewing 50 personnel. Not sure how a different user interface can improve this in the future.
TSheets is a time saver
- Our Shipping dept uses it with the Location services on so we can track our trucks progress on deliveries.
- Our Field dept uses TSheets for tracking time spent on individual jobs for purpose of job costing.
- Our Hourly employees use it for time reporting
- Our Salaried employees use it for time off reporting
- I would like to be able to run a report of all the employees listing in the first column with each weeks ours for the year in the subsequent columns so I can calculate average hours worked by week and average hours worked per employee.
- Notifications for logging out are constricted to 8-5 globally. Would like to set hours by department or employee.
- Would love to see PTO in a calendar format.

At TSheets, Tiffany has been invaluable and has provided excellent support. Tiffany understood my question and clearly has comprehensive product knowledge. The feature I was looking for is not currently in the product but will be soon.

I Dove In and the Water's Just Fine!
- Their customer service and tech support are immediate and top notch! I was helped by Kelsey T, and she made the experience quick, painless, and actually pleasant!
- They need to allow the user to assign a specific service item to any particular customer, so that the user does not have to re-select the service item when selecting that particular customer or client.
TSheets is great
- I love the app, it has a little notification at the top of my screen so I know I'm logged in, and I can see all my stats quickly at any time. Oh, and clocking in and out on my phone is so easy!
- Everyone's home screen is TSheets, so right when they sit down, if they're not using the app, employees clock in. Many keep the clock running on their screen so they can see how many hours they worked periodically without having to "watch the clock" - it's helped to prevent un-approved overtime.
- I know there's PTO tracking. That feature is not currently being utilized, but we're looking into using it for 2018!
- Many employees forget to clock in or out and I'm not sure how to get them to remember as if they are not in a certain level of position, we prefer they not use the app. I know reminders can be sent, but I think that feature maybe isn't working or they've turned it off?
- PTO tracking isn't being used, I think the prior person may have had difficulty, or is it a separate feature?
- The clock. I wish there was a "lunch" button instead of just in and out. We all clock out for lunch, then back in, and on the counting screen it starts over?
TSheets: What timesheets should be.
It is so much simpler than keeping track of and individually logging hours worked, so it has made payroll significantly simpler. It has also provided us with a great way to track past work. It is easy to forget what you and/or your crew were working on 6 months or a year ago. TSheets keeps all that info and makes it a breeze to look it all up.
- Simplifies payroll.
- Just print out a weekly or bi-weekly report!
- Simplifies invoicing.
- By syncing with Quickbooks, it makes customer management and invoicing for hours worked much easier to manage.
- Helps reduce timesheet fudging.
- It's harder to falsify timesheets when every entry is logged with GPS tracking!
- Most of the functionality is great, but I did notice one minor detail: like sometimes when I switch customers if the app doesn't immediately sync then I might find that the next time I try to switch customers it is still clocked-in on the first customer and it can be impossible to figure out exactly when you tried to switch originally. Other than that, any time I've had an issue the TSheets customer service team is exceptionally good and fast at helping me fix the problem or find a solution. As a matter of fact, I just had Jen D help me solve an issue faster than it took me to explain my issue to her!

TSheets Review
- Integration into QuickBooks Online - nice and easy to export all time at the end of the pay period and remove any guess work on employee hours.
- Customer Service - we've had a few chat sessions to help out and always helpful. Just got off with BD1 today and not only did he solve my issue in zero time, he was fun and personable.
- I'd love to make use of the Customers integration feature, but because it is mandatory we can not use it at all. Our business is not set up like that, but if it were optional, I would definitely get more value out of it.

TSheets Review
- TSheets keeps track of when employees clock in from where they clock in and it shows you who is on the clock.
- TSheets can be used to clock in and out from anywhere on your smartphone. For example, I normally have to run errands before or after work and with TSheets I clock in and out from anywhere as longs as I have the TSheets app on my phone.
- TSheets basically does payroll for us. We are extremely happy with TSheets.
TSheets long term user's perspective
- Well designed user interface for manual time cards.
- Timesheet approvals workflow is useful to resolve/cleanse billing data before export to QuickBooks Online.
- "Legacy Timesheets" feature is invaluable for our use case (we have no employees) and bill clients for services.
- Outstanding customer support including a recent call with Sarah who kindly resolved a minor issue.
- Our use case would benefit from improved accuracy and efficiency if default values were automatically assigned from advanced tracking fields that have only a single selection. We are making recent use of these fields and sometimes errors are introduced when field values are not captured correctly. The errors may only be associated with already entered data that we are updating since the new feature, but having to select a value every time from a pull-down-list with only a single option doesn't make sense for our use case.
TSheets makes running payroll less of a chore
- I love how TSheets breaks down employee time by customer or job and shows you the information in graphs and charts, not just numbers.
- TSheets is super user-friendly for my employees which helps to reduce errors.
- The main reason I chose to implement TSheets in our company was for the QuickBooks integration. It makes running payroll a seamless, streamlined task.
- Thier customer support team is awesome! Today I spoke with Sarah and she helped me solve my issue in a matter of minutes!
- I wish that the Product Help page was more user-friendly. I've tried searching for answers to my questions and the many of the search results aren't relative. And overall, the Help page is difficult to navigate. I'm the kind of person who likes to figure things out on their own, so this makes it difficult.
