We use Relias [Learning Management System] to provide e-learning to all new hires and for refresher courses throughout the year.
  • Lots of courses to choose from
  • Automatic tracking
  • Certification upon completion
  • Videos and tutorials could be more engaging
  • Specific modules created or at least suggested for groups
  • More user friendly platform
I feel that Relias [Learning Management System] could be much more engaging and user friendly for the amount they charge per month. Caregivers often complain about how dull and monotonous the videos are.

The platform is not worth the cost. There aren't enough ways to engage employees and the videos are dull. It's also not friendly for mobile use.

CenterPointe utilizes Relias Learning Management System (RLMS) across our entire agency. We rely on it to meet compliance standards, accreditation standards, as an employee development and engagement tool, and to provide onboarding support for new hires.
  • It is simple to administer. You don't have to be a programmer to add course content, set-up users, add live events, etc.
  • Robust array of courses from industry specific to general growth & development.
  • RLMS can be accessed from anywhere you have an internet connection, including a mobile device
  • RLMS uses SMEs that are up to date and understand the complexity of the materials presented, but create courses and content that is end-user-friendly.
  • I really have no feedback for this area. I've not run into anything that is difficult or should be done differently.
RLMS is well suited for agencies of any size, who have to demonstrate competence to funders, accrediting bodies, or other compliance related entities. It is an exceptional platform for HR departments to use in corrective action plans and providing additional education in areas where employees may be found to have deficiencies. It's an easy to use product and can be utilized as a basic onboarding tool to an advanced career development module.
  • We have seen an ROI in reduction of resources needed to train materials in a classroom environment. It's allowed us to roll out consistent training and competency based learning to our entire workforce.
  • No negative impact. It's affordable and easy to implement.
  • We saw a significant reduction in client elopment from residential programs in our industry after implementing a new hire curriculum that included job specific learning courses. The staff were better prepared to handle issues and understood the expectation, as it was consistently trained across the board.

  • Product Usability
The usability was the primary factor for the purchase and ongoing use of this product. We purchased the RLMS years ago when we had a much smaller staff and only one person internally to administer and maintain the RLMS. We continue to use one person to administer the RLMS for over 200 employees.
I don't think we would
  • Implemented in-house
No
Change management was a big part of the implementation and was well-handled
Communication with end users and supervisors was critical. Helping them think about training in a new way and helping them change their orientation.
  • Course selection -the library is vast, so choosing the appropriate courses was a challenge
It was very easy to implement. It's cloud based, so the most difficult part was getting users loaded.
RLMS customer service and support are exemplary.
We were having difficulty recently, setting up a 2 part course, where one part was online and the other was a skills assessment done live. One call was all it took to resolve this situation, and we have learned how to handle it going forward. RLMS empowers it's users to be able to support and create within the environment without much support. The autonomy and flexibility is a huge benefit to end users.
  • User enrollment
  • Course and curriculum assignment
  • Course navigation
  • Without some training, course development can be difficult.
Yes
Most courses work very well in the mobile environment.
It's super easy to use.

We use RLMS across our whole agency and it used to address mandated staff trainings, specialized trainings, HR mandated trainings to support staff with performance deficiencies, board education, compliance trainings, on-boarding of new staff to our complex agency and we have developed a library of special trainings and educational sessions. I also have recommended RLMS for leadership development and management trainings. It is our 'go to' support tool for many of our administrative tasks and duties.
  • Proving mandatory staff trainings such as blood borne pathogens.
  • Provides uniform board trainings on HIPAA expectations.
  • Provides support to staff who have work deficiencies and may have disciplinary action.
  • Develop analytics!!!
  • The more interactive, the better the training tool. I also appreciate more ability to customize the leadership modules to better reflect our agency values.
I believe computer based training is extremely well suited for our workforce. We need the flexibility to allow staff to access the trainings at their convenience or during lull periods of their workday. In addition many of us access the RLMS during the evenings or weekends, when we actually have some time to think. In addition the CBT are consistent and I'm assured each staff member is getting exactly the same content material and testing.
  • Positive impact in terms of a staff resource/tool for rolling out new policies or procedures.
  • Positive impact for providing ease of access, consistency of content, recording of trainings/sessions completed and supporting staff development.
  • Perhaps RLMS could develop an analytics sessions specific to population health management and general health care services. These are important components of an integrative system of care and often hardest to communicate the value to folks highly trained just in behavioral health.
  • None
Not applicable as RLMS was our first and only choice.

Typically our RLMS is supported primarily by our HR staff with technical support from our IT staff. The skills required range from technical expertise to simple patience. HR staff use the RLMS mostly in support of on-boarding new staff, assuring mandated trainings are completed and to support staff with performance improvement needs.
  • Staff training on mandatory state/federal trainings.
  • Staff training for on-boarding to the agency. Specifically to assist with training/education regarding our electronic health records system.
  • Management and leadership development.
  • In 2012, we pioneered the development of a co-location, integrative care and because nothing like this was done anywhere else in the US, we depended on RLMS to capture our cultural changes and rational to share with our ever changing workforce.
  • We used RLMS to develop a specific learning library that was focused on our agency, such as our electronic medical records utilization.
  • We use RLMS to assist our QA department in the development and tracking of our compliance mandates.
  • I recommend the development of trainings specifics to analytics and population health management.
  • Additional trainings in management and leadership. I understand this is being done with certificates of excellence and I need to review that more fully.
RMLS have become an important component of our agency's support systems. It provides consistent context for education and trainings as well as being flexible to allow staff to access it on their time. We have found many of the content sessions to be very useful for staff development and supportive of our overall agency goals and strategies.
