Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

The platform is designed with user-friendliness in mind. And while you might suggest that it requires a mix of technical and soft skills, depending on the role and extent of use but end users don't really require any specific skill set to effectively use the various channels now available through RingEX

At both a previous employer and the current position I was the sole in-house technical support adviser. The help documentation provided by RingEX was more than sufficient for the average user to setup and configure their own extensions based on personal preferences. Rarely is there a need to call RingEX for technical support.

No one is needed to support it, but we have a couple people that will create new teams and set internal standards on how we use it. For instance, what types of files, links and communication belongs in RingEX versus our project management tool, Teamwork. There's nothing technical that has to be maintained in this software. You'd expect to have issues with video chat, but it's just one click and it works.

We have two sys-admins and they share time maintaining the users, extensions, and other issues. One has little experience, and another with 4 years experience. That's all that is needed since their support helps with anything that is complicated. They never tell me "that's not covered by our support". They help me with everything I ask them to.

The platform is user friendly and their support team, although being subpar at times, gets the job done. Reports are not great unless you pay for the paid version. However, the free reporting gets the job done as well. Their sales team is not aggressive and they frequently have webinars to explain new products and how to better use the product given your use case.

It doesn't require a certain type of skill. It requires a bit of time to get used to the interface and where features are located. The interface does a good job of walking you thru phone deployment, user creation, phone line assignments, extension assignments and more. Their support is very helpful in case you don't understand or need clarity on a step from their portal. I decided to purchase 3 phones from Amazon since it was cheaper: PolyCom IP 7000, Polycom VVX 601, Yealink W56P. Only the VVX 601 is listed as a directly supported phone that is straightforward to configure. The other 2 are listed as supported but required additional configuration. I called RingEX and they helped me configure both phones.

Basic troubleshooting, basic networking and firewall knowledge, basic principles of phone systems. Whitney RingEX's support staff are generally pretty thorough and wait-times aren't bad, especially if you use their chat features. They are also good at breaking down their troubleshooting process for in-house support staff who want to become more self-sufficient. If you're willing to ask questions, they'll typically help lay out the troubleshooting process so you need RC Support's help less and less.
