Our whole company is using RingEX, we previously had VOIP through our IT provider and they stopped supporting us so we had to move. We liked the flexibility and reliability of the system. We used to have outages all the time on our old system and we are enjoying not having a single outage on RingEX in the last year. The reliability was a huge selling point since we need to have working phones and fax. The flexibility of the system allows us to use physical phones where needed or Softphones for our computers or mobile devices. Our users love the ability to use their company extension from their mobile phone.

RingEX is a great solution if you want reliability and flexibility. We can trust that our phones are just going to work when we need them. Our users love the ability to be able to use the app on their mobile phones or computers when they are on the go. The ability to review the call logs makes troubleshooting very easy. The call quality is also very good.

  • Reduced internal support calls
  • High cost per month per user
  • High reliability
The system just works all of the time. We used to have outages all the time on our old VOIP system.
They have templates to apply features to various things like ring groups and whatnot, but I often find them to be quirky and end up applying setting manually. They have a lot of features that we frankly don't need and would have liked the abilty to disable them from our users as it's just a lot to look at. We don't use any of the analytics features, but they look very in depth.
RingEX is more expensive, but the increased reliability was worth it for us. We also liked the support experience better on RingEX.
Yes
Voyant VOIP service was replaced by RingEX. The Voyant system went down all of the time, for multiple hours in some cases and was in general very unreliable. RingEX has not gone down for us at all in the last year that we have used it. The advertised reliability is definitely true.

We wanted a reliable system that was easy to setup and administer. The setup was completed by myself for about 75 users in about a week. The phone porting was painless and the Poly phone provisioning works great. We have very few issues once everything is setup for a user. The system just works.
I would have put more time into testing some of the fringe use cases we have. The Fax lines we have setup are costing more than I feel they should, and we are missing a pin-less conference room feature that we had on our old phone system. I would still have gone with RingEX, but feel I should have tested it out a little harder before pulling the trigger.
Make sure that you test the features that you need before you buy. We were missing some functionality that we needed and had to change our processes to get them working. The salespeople will overpromise what the system can do.

Call-in support is fantastic. I have never called in and had it taken more than 30 minutes to resolve our issue.

Email support is terrible. You will likely go 24+ hours until you hear back and the response is likely a canned one. I personally prefer the email or chat support option, but find myself calling instead because the email support experience is so poor.
There is no "Premium Support" option I know of. I would not if there was since it should be included in the service.
No
I had an issue where phone calls were ending automatically after 4 hours. I had a ticket open with email support for 3 days with sparse and meaningless responses. I finally called in and got the issue resolved in 15 minutes after talking to a human. If you can call in for support, the experience will be a much better one.
We have 75 users and 85 phones on the system and have yet to have any noticeable outages. The system just works all of the time without issues. Our old VOIP system on Voyant would go out all the time for multiple hours. RingEX is much more stable and reliable.
The administration website loads quickly and is always there when I need it.

RingEX is the phone system that I use for my business. I primarily use the desktop app. I also have the phone app installed.
  • Screens robocalls.
  • Easy to transfer calls.
  • Easy to set up conference calls.
  • Call quality isn't the greatest. Sometimes there is a lag or an echo.
  • I have had people tell me that my line doesn't always switch over to voicemail.
  • Some companies' website verification texts or calls are automatically blocked.
RingEX is great for solopreneurs that are just starting out. If you have stable high-speed internet, it usually works well. Otherwise, you may need to look at using the phone app through your wireless carrier.
  • Affordable phone system.
  • Video conferencing software included.
  • A phone app that allows me to be away from the office.

  • Didn't have to make a huge outlay for a phone system.
  • The phone app allows my to use the phone away from my primary office.
  • I have the ability to scale up the system whenever needed.
  • It integrates with my CRM allowing me to save time tracking client contacts.
I have never planned an outage with RingEX. The only issue that I have experienced is bandwith issues where video is dropped.
I ended up going with RingEX because of the price and the overall quality of the calls. In addition, RingEX provides video conferencing software that is a white-labeled version of Zoom.

To the best of my knowledge, there really isn't another option at this price point.
No
Price was extremely important. I purchased MVP when I was starting my business. I also wanted an option that I could scale without having to incur a lot of expensive ehardware costs.
I don't know that I would change anything.
Software is fairly straightforward. The toughest part is navigating the administrative portal to set up call-forwarding, on-hold messages, and office hours.

Yes. When I had issues, I simply called support.
Sometimes configuration can be a little difficult. I can be hard to find the exact feature in the admin portal.
Make sure you contact support. If they can't help you, they will point you to a white paper.
No - we have not done any customization to the interface
No - we have not done any custom code
We did not do any additional customization although it is available.
Support can sometimes be slow. I attempted to have another line added to my service and was unable to get a hold of my sales rep for some time.
No. I did not know it was an available option.
Yes
It was not. Eventually, I had to use the web version instead of the installed desktop version. I think there may have been another conflict with a Windows update.
I wanted to grant access to my admin to schedule meetings using MVP. Support was able to quickly help me to add my admin as a user and grant her those rights without adding any additional monthly costs.
I find it extremely easy to use. However, other individuals that I meet with don't always share the same experience. I have several older clients that have had issues with installation and sharing their screens during meetings. And occasionally I will have someone that has an extreme issue with their microphone constantly echoing and repeating.

Yes
It works well ordinarily. Occasionally, I do have clients complain about the call quality.
There is a browser version which allows the product to be used by almost anyone.
Occasional bandwith issues. In addition to this, I have one individual whose calls are blocked. We were not able to determine whether this was a RingEX or a carrier issue.
Most integration required an installer file.

Integration with Outlook was easy. Integration with Salesforce took a little more effort. However, RingEX did provide installation instructions.

Don't expect too much from the pre-packaged integrations. If you are looking for a deeper, expect that you will need to have some custom coding done.
It is a pretty high volume business and my business is small. I don't expect much personlization.
It can be tough to get a hold of my sales rep.
There wasn't really any negoiation.
Skip the bot whenever possible and call in for support.
