We use our Ring Central system as our main school telephony system.
It's fast, reliable, easy to set up/use & has been well received by all of the staff in the school.

It provides great flexibility to grow with us, as our requirements continue to grow & evolve. So long as you have an IP based handset & the correct license, you can install a handset wherever there is a PoE enabled ethernet point.

  • Easy to use & navigate web interface.
  • Simple, yet customisable IVR options.
  • A vast wealth of knowledge via the RingCentral University (support is also brilliant!)
  • Cost is slightly on the higher end of the spectrum, there are cheaper systems out there, not really aimed at Education in terms of pricing initially.
  • Some ELEMENTS on the administrative side are unveiled by digging down into other options. Can be resolved by a "Related Options" links on some menus (admin portal).
  • Had never heard of the company until attending BETT show in 2022. Would be good to market towards Education sector more prominantly with Educational discounts/offers.
Perfect for medium to large sized businesses & establishments.

Not as suitable to smaller businesses as the cost is a big factor which could hold some people back from looking into the system further, which offers a wealth of options to tailor it to your needs.

RingCentral can be set up by someone without a technical background, as customer support is very good & there is a wealth of information via the RingCentral Univeristy so you can learn the system inside & out.

Our whole company is using RingEX, we previously had VOIP through our IT provider and they stopped supporting us so we had to move. We liked the flexibility and reliability of the system. We used to have outages all the time on our old system and we are enjoying not having a single outage on RingEX in the last year. The reliability was a huge selling point since we need to have working phones and fax. The flexibility of the system allows us to use physical phones where needed or Softphones for our computers or mobile devices. Our users love the ability to use their company extension from their mobile phone.

RingEX is a great solution if you want reliability and flexibility. We can trust that our phones are just going to work when we need them. Our users love the ability to be able to use the app on their mobile phones or computers when they are on the go. The ability to review the call logs makes troubleshooting very easy. The call quality is also very good.

RingEX is our main digital communications platform. Our geographically diverse staff use RingEX for Voice and Chat functions, as well as video conferencing with both internal and external parties. This allows staff to maintain their connections with others despite being physically in other locations. This also reduced the reliance on having in person meetings, cutting travel times and travel costs for the company.
  • Reliability
  • Ease of Use
  • Resource Friendly
  • Could have better support
  • Sometimes can be delayed to connecting
  • Better O365 integration
RingEX can work on multiple devices and platforms, from laptops to mobile devices and tablets. The software has dedicated apps but can also work through a simple web browser for even easier use. This relieves the IT groups from having to install and allow the dedicated applications through the security walls. While RingEX is a solid platform, if your organization is already in Microsoft Teams there isn't much difference that RingEX will bring to warrant the cost difference.

RingEX is our primary way of communicating with our clients. Incoming calls to our call center are critical for our ability to be the company we claim to be, and having a reliable way to handle them is just as critical.
  • Short learning curve - it doesn't take long to get the basics down.
  • Support tickets are handled well. Even just Q&A chats with support people are worthwhile.
  • Uptime. Solid uptime.
  • Fractured billing - we use CX as well, and the fact that they are billed separately is baffling.
  • Allow distinct branding for individual sites.
I've only experienced MVP in a setting where it was a very good fit. We replaced an on-premises Mitel system with RingEX, and we were able to match features easily and exceed them in many cases. Setup for remote users was exceptionally easy, requiring nothing more than a solid internet connection to get them up and running.

RingEX is used as a platform in our main campaigns, managing our voice interactions (inbound & outbound) helping our company to raise the level of reliability and quality provided in our services to our associates. This RingEX platform helps us in managing our sales campaigns, resolving previous situations that arose with the previous system. With RingEX we have accurate reports and in a faster, simpler and more efficient way, where we can verify in time almost real, our strengths and weaknesses and whether to make decisions that help the productivity of our center.
  • Reports
  • Tracking
  • Handle Voice Call
  • Access to change campaigns for agents
  • Interface should be friendly
  • Can improve the dashboard
The reporting part is essential in our line of business, we must measure everything and report it, which is why it is one of its main strengths. They are fast and adapt to the needs, also the ease of being very easy to use, which entails relatively short training for new agents who would use this platform.

RingEX is our "go to" for VOIP and video meetings in our organization. It's allowed us to streamline the way we communicate and given users many options to do so - physical IP phone, desktop app, mobile app and even a browser-based version. Our faculty and staff can decide what fits their needs the best and use it.
  • VOIP calling - call quality is excellent and has replaced our traditional landline phones
  • Video meetings - video quality is great(provided you have a good webcam) and the video features(multiple hosts, screen sharing, multiple room management) is 2nd to none.
  • Screen sharing - As an unexpected benefit, the ability to do a screen share has helped our IT crew in being able to remotely diagnose and fix problems with faculty or staff machines.
  • The desktop app updates are somewhat annoying. It seems the desktop app will randomly close and restart when there is a new version pushed out by RingEX. Not a huge deal but it is sometimes annoying to be reading an instant message on the app and it will close/restart without warning.
  • I'd like to see the mobile app have an easier way to be offline than logging out of the app entirely. I may want to be able to message using the chat feature but just not accept phone calls. Or have my phone calls go to my desk phone or desktop app but not ring my mobile app in certain situations.
RingEX is great at what it does. It's a unified calling/messaging/video conferencing application that is available on nearly every platform in some way or another. RingEX has made it easier to chat with colleagues faster than email or start up an impromptu video conference in order to work on ideas when our team isn't in the same physical location. It is well-suited for the business environment that it is designed for.

We switched to RingEX when it became cost prohibitive to design a DR solution for our in-house phone system. Since switching to RingEX we have reduced our monthly spend on telecommunications plus gained DR capabilities that we never had before. implementing RingEX has greatly simplified our business continuity plan. In addition, we gained access to tools that we never had before such as incoming and outgoing faxes, messaging to our business numbers and telecommunications capabilities. productivity has gone up and the number of calls to the help desk has been completely eliminated. We could not be happier with our choice to switch to RingEX.
  • incoming and outgoing calls
  • incoming and outgoign faxes
  • collaboratoin/screen sharing
  • voice mail
  • blocking spam calls
we implemented RingEX voice mail, SMS messaging and faxing and could nto have been happier. these were not even in our wish list but after implementing them we don't know how we could ever do with out these. We implemented the RingEX to Teams integration but it was unnecessary and we stopped using it.

It's our internal business phone system! As a company, we use RingEX to talk to other team members within the organization. As well, RingEX is the system we use to receive calls from our customers and call out to customers. I've used it as an over-the-phone technician and to communicate with my team members who contact me for requests!
  • Call logs, historical accuracy
  • Keeps people and organizations accountable
  • Easy to use infrastructure - don't need a phone to make use of product/service
  • Combining apps into one main, easy to use application
  • Accessing RingEX can be confusing on the backend
  • Perhaps offering a custom ringtone instead of a default for individuals
After going to RingEX for tech support, I was pleasantly surprised by how quick they were to help me with my issue!

We use it as our primary phone system. It is used for hard phones and softphones. One of the main uses is as an employee attendance line, where people can call in and select an option to dial the department that they work for and get a direct line to their department supervisors.
  • Call transfers.
  • Group calls.
  • IVR functionality.
  • Voice quality.
  • Better documentation.
  • Call transfers.
  • Live support.
As mentioned earlier, it works well for our attendance line situation. It allows our users to call directly to the people who care whether they come to work or not. We also find it works really well for our IT support line. It allows us to have multiple phones ring when a call comes in so a technician can pick it up.

It's our main phone system that replaced our Mitel system. This allows our users to utilize the phones or mobile apps to stay connected to clients or anyone in the firm. We have had a lot of users really enjoy the conversion from Mitel over to RingEX and are very happy with using it.
  • Easy to use.
  • Customer support is better.
  • Everyone is happier.
  • Migration assistance.
It was an easy migration from Mitel to RingEX with their help. We have a lot of good responses from everyone who is now on the RingEX platform from Mitel. People are now even utilizing the RingEX mobile apps to access their phone lines as needed. This allows them to stay connected to their clients or other people at the firm.

I had to spend almost 2 hours on the phone with your agents to figure out why I was not getting calls. The first agent I spoke with removed me from the queue when she was in my account because I asked to speak with a supervisor since she could not fix the problem. I was not receiving my fair share of calls. I am very disappointed with the CSR agent I started with.

Mobile cell phone usage is a must for us. RingEX makes it easy to use. Auto Attendant is important as well to us. RingEX does a great job here. They were also able to use our existing Mitel phones. That saved us a lot of money. Their support has been outstanding.
  • Auto-Attendant
  • Multiple ways to use system, mobile, computer and physical phone.

  • The admin portal has improved, but the UI needs a little work.

We use the softphone and hardware phones with RingEX, as well as the faxing solution. Our old system was a mix of PBX and on-prem VOIP that was quite antiquated. We were still having to use SSH for all phone system changes. We needed a more modern, feature rich VOIP solution that could help bring both those that prefer using deskphones and those that prefer softphones together.
  • Softphone and hardphone integration (allowing software to control speakerphone)
  • IVR and User Management
  • Voicemail integration
  • Microsoft 365 integration
  • Porting process (moving phone numbers from other carriers) was much better than experiences with competitors
  • Pricing for SMB space is high compared to other solutions
  • Still lagging behind 8x8 with desk phone support and integrations
  • UI for managing Limited Extensions is significantly more cumbersome than user extensions
  • Video meeting software still lags behind industry leaders (such as Zoom and MS Teams)
  • No licensing option for Common Area Phones with routing features
- Many inexpensive cloud VOIP providers have great softphone experiences, but lack the depth of features when continuing to use desk phones. RingEX gives you the best of both worlds. - For larger accounts, porting numbers can be especially difficult, and sometimes the unexpected occurs that the losing carrier cancels the process without notice. RingEX not only makes the process easy, but works well with the losing carriers to ensure there are no unexpected issues. - Anyone wanting to move from older PBX or on-prem VOIP will enjoy the ease of use and support provided by RingEX. They also worked great with our legal team when there were compliance concerns with setting up a new contract.

We use RingEX for our Reps in order to keep their personal phone numbers private. I am an admin within RingEX and often use the product to troubleshoot for our reps. The overall problem would be the look and feel of RingEX admin center. It is cluttered and I personally believe it could be simplified to be cleaner and easier to navigate. I do enjoy their customer service they are fast to respond and quick to fix.
  • Customer support
  • Reaching back time
  • Friendliness
  • Admin portal
  • Call connectivity
  • Minor issues
I think it works perfectly as a second option instead of buying your employees a phone plan.

Summit Therapeutic Services (Summit) uses RingEX every hour, of every day. We talk on the phone from anywhere we want, create text messages, and even send out faxes to clients that still have that in their offices. The best part of all this? We can do it all from our mobile phone, at the lift of a finger. The service provided really spoils you and when you don't have it accessible, it makes you say, "I wish I could use my RingEX because it just works so well." This is not a joke because when running a business, no matter the service provided, communication management is very important because ideas, directives, and messages still need to be sent and received. These basic services we use every day, they aren't so basic, and RingEX manages them all seamlessly. Summit will continue using RingEX and the services they provide are invaluable to the organization.
  • Video meetings
  • Faxes
  • Text messages
  • Voicemails
  • Phonecalls
  • Integration with mobile devices
  • Website access is easy to use
  • Applications are easy to use
  • The video meeting / integration with Teams is confusing because the Teams app will take over the RC app and launch the meeting. Some are on RC, some are on Teams. it's strange.
  • When transferring calls, the receiving telephone does not display who the caller is, except for only showing you who is transferring the call.
  • Latency between the telephone and the desktop application could be faster.
Simply because it integrates so well with your mobile device, RingEX is suitable for video meetings, even encrypted ones, faxes, text messages, phone calls. On the plane flying somewhere and the client needs a document faxed over? You can do it quickly. Need to send over a picture from your device and you don't have your phone? You can do it from the computer. Need to take a break and focus on your family and other activities? You can log out and let the voicemail take care of it, even sending you an email that you can check, since I know many people still check their emails when on vacation! LOL

  • Technical support
  • Resolving outrage fast
  • Great customer services
  • Contract renewal
  • To send back old desk phone, the team can take more than 30 days for a return label
In general, the service is so perfect and I have never had any issues with RingEX. What I do say one thing that needs improvement, is that when the renewal of 1 or 2 years comes, the RC team is there to support you, and they reply to emails fast but after you have signed that contract, sorry, but it's 2-3 days for a simple reply back. Return labels to send back my old desk phone, wow, 30 days and not a single return label to send back the item but still get charge on my bill.

Our organization has 6 locations, all using RingEX. Many of our staff work a Hybrid schedule or out in the field. The ability to use RingEX from a desk phone, workstation or mobile device allows them to stay connected and productive no matter where they are. We are still new to RingEX and exploring all the features and benefits. I appreciate the ease of being able to manage the system as the 'Super Admin' I'm able to make changes and updates as needed on my own. I also appreciated the Analytics available.
  • When I need to contact support, they are very willing to do their best to resolve my issue in real time if at all possible.
  • I like the prompts when I am on the Admin side that help guide me through changes.
  • I haven't experienced any outages so far.
  • As the Super Admin all the missed calls to our main number show on my desktop call history.
  • During our Migration to RingEX I felt our Project Manager was handling too many cases at once. We were meant to have weekly meetings and didn't. I feel it affected his response time also.
  • The Support Chat feature has been overloaded, it was actually quicker for me to call support and connect with an agent.
  • Getting a detailed description of our features has been difficult.
I feel RingEX has a wide variety of options available. Our experience would have benefitted from more interaction with the Customer Service team to give us a better understanding of the services we were getting and how they compared to what we had with Mitel.

My company has a demo kit that we use to demo the product for sales purposes. I am also the lead engineer for all RingEX implementations that my company sells to clients. This product just works. Compared to our old VOIP services, adding new desk phones and RingEX has made our lives a lot easier, especially with the added functionalities like being able to receive faxes to our numbers and receiving an email with the file.
