Rubrik CDM, taking the pain out of data protection.
Moved from legacy tape process to image based full disk solution. Previous process was slow and didn't allow image based recovery. Tape library was very large and consumed alot of space in our data center.

Great M365 Backup solution
Our company uses Rubrik to backup our Microsoft 365 data. Rubrik has been a good partner for us because of their ability to backup and restore directories and files in all M365 systems: SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange Online. These systems are the most critical systems in our company, and if we were to suffer a data catastrophe, whether systems down or ransomware, we would be in a world of hurt. Rubrik provides us the peace of mind that our data is backed up and always available to us for those potential moments of extreme distress.
- Easy onboarding. We were able to make a connection to our M365 environment in less than 5 minutes, and backups were processing within just a couple minutes after that.
- Good customer service. From sales to post-implementation, the staff at Rubrik were helpful, professional, and focused on me.
- Set and forget. Outside of regular test restores, I don't have to worry about constantly trying to tweak settings within the Rubrik console to get it working better. It just works.
- Automated test restores. I would love to setup automated and random test restores on a regular basis where Rubrik's system will restore a random file or directory to a test SharePoint folder, send a full report, and provide a path to the folder for review and confirmation.

Rubrik protects and Secures!
We started off using rubrik to backup our on-site estate. Utilising Cloud on for offsite DR in Azure
We then bought licenses for products called Radar and Sonar at the time.

We soon started using Rubrik Polaris for backing up other targets like the data in 365, suck as Mail, Onedrive,Teams,Sharepoint

Jus got with it -- you won't regret it!
Rubrik makes it easy with the daily and OnDemand backups. It allows us to restore files easily to multiple segmented parts of our network. Without the ease of Rubrik, our daily tasks would be much harder. Having multiple briks and multiple locations --- and the ability to connect to a NFS share has made the job so much easier. We love our safety net!

Fantastic Backup Software
We have over 40 Rubrik Clusters that we use at various Hearst holdings and within the past week, we just started using Office 365 backups as well.

Excellent product. Excellent sales team. Top notch support and involving customers in the development process.
Rubrik is a backup and data security product. We use it for exactly those purposes. servers, databases, local and remote resources. we wanted something that's intuitive, just works, and has excellent support. We backup SQL databases, SAP HANA, VMware and Hyper-V VMs and Active Directory.
- Backs up hypervisor VMs such as VMware as well as live mount backups without having to do full restores
- Backs up SQL databases at very fine granularity including tlog backups. it also handles SQL DAGs very well.
- Backs up SAP HANA using centralized management and integrates with BackInt
- Ransomware detection such as detecting large numbers of file changes or deletions in folders, finding malware based on hashes and rules, and giving you point in time recovery
- Sensitive data discovery such as HIPAA, PII, banking info, etc so we know what folders and files need permissions changes
- Rubrik's support model is the best. you can call or email or open a ticket in the portal. they are fast to respond, patient and very knowledable. their product and support portal provide lots of pertinent tips and detailed explanations.
- Reporting is good but could be better, particularly real time in the UI. They need more ability to sort and filter beyond what they already have.
- SQL restores have lots of options but not restoring as a .bak file
- they have Active Directory restore procedures but I'd like to see that functionality built into the UI instead of partially using an outside tool.

We don't have a complex need for our backups just a couple of SLA requirements based on departments for length of time for retention, a DR replication and Cloud archival to hold the extended data. We primary function off snapshots for our mainly virtual environment with some CIFS shares for unstructured data.
We decided on Rubrik since we needed a replacement system to bring us speed for restoration of backups, cloud tier options, and native snapshot backups for both VMware and Nutanix AHV VMs. Our final phase is to migrate our SQL backups to a more modern method to allow the system to manage the truncation and log replays to simplify restorations of SQL servers.
The immutability function and constant monitoring of our snapshots for irregularities makes Rubrik the right choice

Current Rubrik User - Versatile, Secure, and Scalable
Provides a solution to backup on premise vm resources to the cloud. It is a major contributor to our DR policy. Rubrik provides piece of mind through their appliance and ease of restoration.

Simple intuitive setup for easy deployment
I use Rubrik for managing a diverse platform of different Operating Systems and Databases. We use features like Live Mount and Instant Recovery, managing databases from RSC, a single pane of glass for backups across multiple clusters. Additionally, we use the Sonar and Radar.

Rubrik CDM
Having used other backup products from other vendors, I was pleasantly surprised just how easy Rubrik is to install, use and support.
It works fantastically well when paired with VMWare vCenter, but also has an agent that can be used for backup independently of VMWare.

We ordered and installed a Rubrik Brik to replace our out of support Data Domains from Dell. We ordered and implemented Cloud Direct to replace Networker from Dell.
- Rubrik Brik is our backup target for Block storage from Pure.
- Cloud Direct is a far superior product with more features and capabilities than Networker.
- The Ransomware aspect was a huge selling point for the overall solution.

Rubrik Provides Excellent Value and Feature Sets for Our Needs
Rubrik solved 2 issues for our firm, the first being removing the reliance on tape backup infrastructure and the second allowing us to set up long-term archiving to the cloud for monthly backups.

The customer has a lot of Virtual machines that need to be backed on a daily basis and move them across to secondary DB for the DR purpose. Additionally, an agent needs to be installed in case of a recovery for specific applications. This requires frequesnt update of the software binary of the backup agent, which means more effort and cost to maintain.

Rubrik is the Best Backup Solution
Our previous disk to disk backups had become so slow that we could no longer rely on the. Use needed something that was cost-effective, worked with our virtual environment, and had DR options. Rubrik had the answers we needed for all of those and my team loves it. Major Lifesaver!!!

Ease of use within a budget
For O365 backup we use Polaris and it is really ease of management.
Good thing about Rubrik is the GUI which is ease of management and anyone can work on it even without knowledge.
Also the support is available at anytime to support the customer. I am very satisfied with the Rubrik. Still there is so much room for improvements but it seems it take some time

Rubrik is a good enterprise solution
Rubrik is our primary backup device for our Nutanix infrastructure. We store about 40tb of data on here which is mission critical. We create SLA's and also recover files when users accidentally delete from our file server. It is extremely easy to use, and is fairly priced. The support is fantastic and is very quick to respond, and sales keeps an eye on you offering any advice and or demos of new products that are applicable to your organization.

Rubrik backs up all our vertex and VM ware servers along with our O365 environment. We have never had backups of SharePoint or of our one drive environment before using Rubrik. Rubrik makes recovery of our exchange environment smoother than we have had in the past (backup exec and Veeam).

We deployed Rubrik to simplify and rationalized our backup infrastructure. The endless deduplicated full backup reduced backup windows and load on production systems. Rubrik, the Rockstar of Backup/DR!
In its simplest form, Rubrik improves backup and provides DR. Backups were previously being written to tape; Disaster Recovery was simply hoped and a prayer. Rubrik offers a turn-key solution that solved the issues that kept me up at night! Ease of installation, ease of use, and peace of mind make this a solid choice!!

Don't backup, go forward!
We use Rubrik for all backup/restore purposes for the University staff and students. We have started to use threat protection as well.
- Almost instant VM mounting
- Clear interface to view compliance
- Auto discovery of new VMs added to environment
- Unable to pause individual VM backups
- No auto-discovery of SQL hosts
- Reporting of failures can be very vague
Our enterprise backup infrastructure was complex and needed checking daily. Restoring files and folders was frequently time-consuming because our users couldn't articulate filenames/paths/server details of missing documents. This was replaced by 2 Rubriks each of 4 nodes and backups of 350VMs were moved into the Rubrik system over a few weeks. Backups are now immutable, and SLAs have been set up to push them to cloud storage after 14days of residing locally. Restores are very simple now due to Rubik indexing all documents and having a google-like search to locate data. Both administering the system and restoring files/VMs is now much easier.

All around protection
Using Rubrik CDM and Polaris. We are also using Radar, Sonar and APPFLOWS. These extra applications come with the Enterprise license. Rubric CDM is an ideal product for protecting your multivendor virtual environment. Radar is great at identifying and preventing ransomware. Sonar addresses the sensitive data classification and security. APPFLOWS addresses the DR orchestration.

Review of Rubrik based on business implementation.
We use it as a backup tool to implement backups on Cloud and Databases. It is quite efficient as compared to products like Avamar and NetBackup. It has a lot of backup frequency and we can use SLA domains to implement backup and retention based on the business requirement. Also, Rubrik does offer a consistent backup of cloud products.
- Has a Hype-converged Infrastructure support.
- Has wide range of backup capability that includes VM's, SQL, Servers, Storage.
- Can be integrated with VM conversion from .vmdk to .vhd
- They can integrate their software with other vendors including NetApp, Oracle, IBM.
- They should certainly improve there bootstrap time for rebooting the Rubrik Brik.
- They should work on the uptime of the backups frequency.
