Nice experience with Rubrik solution
We use Rubrik currently in our environment, with Rubrik we are able to run around 16k backups jobs per day and we are saving a lot of disk space with the high compress and dedup level of the equipment.
The console is frendly and usefull, with Rubrik we use VMware backups, File System, backups, replication between sites and archiving to different destinations.
There is a replication solution that helps to be able to move the workload to another site in case of emergency (some kind of Disaster Recovery).
I strongly recommend Rubrik.

Rubrik Polaris for Easy M365 Backups
Rubrik is our backup system for Microsoft 365 resources. The major use case for Rubrik Polaris so far has been for Exchange Online backups, OneDrive documents and file backup. Our license covers every single user in the organization as we want to ensure everyone in our Microsoft tenant is protected.
- Setup of Rubrik Polaris was extremely easy.
- We can easily create backup policies.
- User interface is fairly straightforward, and easy to navigate.
- Backup of Microsoft Teams chat is not available yet.
- Backup of contacts/calendar/notes is not available.
- There is currently no IDP login for SAML yet.

The ROI on this solution has more than paid for itself
When we first reached out to Rubrik, we where looking for a three-pronged solution to our aging backup system.
First was on-premises VMware-based virtual machines, second was Azure-based virtual machines, and third, O365 mailboxes. Not only does Rubrik handle all three for us, but also simplified the setup of an Azure tenant as a DR site, allowing us to close down a secondary datacenter that was previously our DR site.

Satisfied by Rubrik
Rubrik is used by our entire organization to provide backups to physical servers, virtual servers, NAS shares, O365 mailboxes, and OneDrive. We run a Brik in our production data center and one in our DR data center. Backups are replicated between the two sites. We keep [thirty] days of backups on the Briks then archive off anything more than that to NFS.

- No MySQL backup - must use MySQL dump or other.
- Maintenance can be expensive.
- Lots of cabling required.

Ransomware [peace] of mind
Rubrik has been deployed to backup our entire IT infrastructure including all of our cloud-base. We have daily backups held on disk for two weeks and then archived to cloud. We backup entire servers, individual files. as well as SQL Server databases including log backups. It helped us consolidate all of our backups to a single solution for all of our scenarios giving us a much more streamlined process.

Rubrik is used across the whole organization. It resolves speed of backups, cloud backups, instant offsiting of backups, [and] secure backups.
- Rubrik is sensitive to client outages, so [it] has been important in letting us know when servers/apps are down.
- Rubrik is easy to use and technical support is strong.
- Rubrik has been easy to implement and training has not been required.
- Sometimes there are too many false positives. Being able to control level of support would be great.
- More granularity around who gets notified about what would be great.

Modern Backups with Simplicity
We are using Rubrik to backup VMWare, Hyper-V, and remote office data. We are also using it to replicate our backups offsite to a remote location. It has allowed us to merge our backup products down and still get the same level of data backup.

A solution that simply works and is easily manageable
Our Rubrik Brik is used on one campus to back up two campuses over a 10 gig pipe and archived to Azure. It solves complicated backup methods, schedules, failing backups, and having a full-time employee for backup only.

- No-downtime upgrades within a single Brik among the nodes
We use Rubrik for backup, archive, and retention of our entire VMware (Windows and Linux) environment, AIX environment, and limited physical environment. Additionally, we use Rubrik CDM for a few physical devices. We use Rubrik to protect the entire organization and have found it to be powerful and easy to use. Our previous backup solution was powerful but cumbersome and time-consuming to manage. Moving to Rubrik saved us close to a whole FTE's time allowing the IT Operations team to focus more on strategic initiatives that impact end user experiences.
- Simple - Rubrik CDM centralizes backups around SLA. Objects, like VMs, are assigned to SLAs and the backups happen according to the SLA schedule.
- Powerful - Rubrik CDM gives us the option to adjust backup frequency, retention, archival location (co-lo or cloud), and allows for legal-hold. Additionally, it supports all the platforms we need to backup.
- Flexible - The GUI interface gives us access to almost everything we would ever need and their API, and API-first design, allows scripting. Scripting opens up additional use-cases and meets unique requirements.
- Excellent Support - Rubrik's support is knowledgeable and has been easy to contact and get help from whenever we've need it.
- Cost - Rubrik is not the cheapest offering in the field. However, we've seen time-savings that more than cover the additional cost.
- Lack of AD-integration - At least as of yet, Rubrik doesn't support object-level Active Directory restores. Rubrik CMD does integrate with AD for authentication via LDAP, but does not tie-in for granular AD object restores.
- Some of the reports in Rubrik are difficult to consume. As such, it's cumbersome to see how much space is being consumed by some objects after dedup and compression.

Rubrik is a win
We're using Rubrik across the entire company. Every VM and database is automatically protected and archived into Azure.

We brought in Rubrik to solve our backup and DR challenges. We had outgrown our previous solution and could no longer depend on it for backup or DR. We deployed Rubrik across the entire organization for backup and DR and immediately were able to see the benefits. Rubrik [is] being used for all backup services and replicating to the cloud for DR.

Data Integrity Simplified
Rubrik is used as the primary data protection solution.
- Rubrik simplifies protection of assets and data across the estate, making it easy to protect VMs, SAN, database and OS/file level information.
- The search function from the very front page makes it very easy to identify data for restore. That ease of use becomes the standard across the entirety of the restoration process - quick and pain free.
- RBAC access is industry standard in data protection application and it's not different here - again very easy to set up with depth and granularity for those that require it.
- Automation of restores should be available from the GUI - at present one must configure scripts to interface with the APIs

Rubrik in a nutshell
Rubrik is widely being used throughout the City as the primary backup solution for our server fleet. Rubrik helps us feel confident in the fact that we can restore our servers from a backup quickly and efficiently in case of failure, while also helping balance the load between our systems. The data dashboard that accompanies Rubrik's systems has a great display of information, ranging from the number of virtual servers, to any issues in our environment that may prevent services from restoring properly. One of the best features is being able to monitor our system performance to keep our environment running smoothly.

- Speed of NAS backups could be quicker.
- Changing the backup schedule is difficult if one is already in place.

Backups made fun again!
Rubrik has helped us a lot in managing our backups. Coming from an old legacy system with a lot of administration and a very consultant-friendly system, Rubrik is a fresh breath of air in the backup space. Administration is easy and intuitive. Backups are fun again (backups were never fun with the old system).

Rubrik is being used to backup more than 50TB of information used by our organization. We utilize the cloud out option and retired tape and the results for backup recovery has been easier than ever. We backup multiple file types and use a NAS. It address the problem of backing up with ease and having multiple restore options and google like searches.
- Backing up VMs and Nutanix is easy to setup and process is just about the same across the board.
- Google like searches on NAS data which make searching for a file easy and painless.
- For SQL the option of just grabbing information you need and exporting out is useful.
- NAS backup speed would like to be faster.
- The ability to stop a backup schedule easier
- Need the abilty to change backups to occur on a specific date

We use Rubrik to backup all our VMs, Datacenters, SPs, and etc. It is used throughout the institution. We wanted Disaster Recovery solutions and instant access to snapshots/files. This product does it all. Rubrik addresses DR across our two campuses with fantastic speed and when you need to live mount or export the data, it is there for you.
- The UI is beautiful and super easy to use. Very straight forward.
- Downloading a backup on-prem was super fast.
- Restoring a server was quick and efficient. Again, the downtime was very minimal.
- Works Well with Azure.
- Format support is great.
- Easy to learn and it's like an Apple Time Machine backup where you can browse for files and mount pretty much instantly.
- EMC Isilon support is great.
- Works well with Nutanix.
- If you have a single Brik, you won't be able to upgrade without downtime to a node.

Rubrik - Don't Back up, Go Forward!
We use Rubrik as our primary backup solution for physical, virtual and database backups at both our corporate headquarters and remote offices. We are a multi-industry company and use it across our organization. It gives us fast and reliable backups with easy integration into our VMware environment and archive capabilities to the cloud.
- Virtual machine backups are extremely easy to setup. The recovery (instant mount) process is a better option than doing a traditional restore of a server.
- SQL database backups and recovery are very nice. Our DBA's love the SQL DB mount option to quickly recover data.
- The ability to change the retention on a pre-existing backup that is different than the current SLA is a feature that has not yet made it to Rubrik. This is one option I would like to see sooner than later.
- Having to utilize Fileset backups in order to restore to an alternate server is a hassle. Basically you have to make two backups of the server if you want full protection. It will be nice with this function is built into VM level backups so you only need one backup.

We have been using Rubrik for a few years now and it has been a very positive experience. Primarily it has helped us move away from our aging tape backup system and allowed us much more visibility and clarity on our backup strategy here at the university. We use it to capture the following workloads that cover data from all over the university and managed by central IT: Vmware virtual machines, NAS file shares, HyperV virtual machines, Nutanix virtual machines and huge quantities of Microsoft SQL.
- Live Mounting SQL for OBDC checks and for restores of tables.
- The single pane of glass and a single point of management and visibility was a huge win for us - as we moved away from a legacy tape backup solution. Rubrik modernized the whole approach and bought the simplicity to the backup model that we certainly needed!
- There is now a vast selection of objects that Rubrik can backup - it fitted our needs perfectly for all our workloads.
- Error reporting can be hard to interpret and chase out.

Rubrik is a future focused backup solution
We use Rubrik in our labs for our support team to learn with. We also have customers that we manage that run Rubrik as well as we support Rubrik with customers we resell to. Our teams are constantly growing and additional members are being trained on it. We currently protect our labs and some production resources and leverage the cloud features and replication.
- It is very easy to manage and just does its job well. Very little break-fix.
- Stable and trustworthy - It just runs and we can feel confident our backups happen.
- Alerting and reporting with email as well as Polaris are excellent.
- Increased support for agent level items such as SharePoint, active directory, and exchange.
- Simpler recovery of exchange data.
- Managing multiple clusters through Polaris would be great to have.

I've been using Rubrik for 2 years and the development of Rubrik is fast. I've witnessed the progress of Rubrik from backing up only VMs up to now where they can backup many operating systems and hosts. Rubrik is a user-friendly backup appliance that is easy to install and manage. I've done many implementations of Rubrik on different clients here in the Philippines and they are very happy with their purchase of Rubrik. The usual feedback that I got from the clients is that Rubrik is so easy to manage and the automation, deduplication and compression on their backups were excellent.

Rubrik: Apples or Oranges
We are using the Rubrik fabric to backup and restore as needed enterprise-wide and into the cloud. There are limits to the cloud integration but overall nothing works like Rubrik. I set up the product and pretty much do not touch it again until I need to.

- Calling support is better than calling 911. Help comes much faster and everyone is a native English speaker
