Data input, logging and report generation are daily monitoring tasks and time-consuming operations in our business. By automating the workflows, Redwood Software can significantly reduce the time required to complete tasks, allowing team members to focus on other part of monitoring tasks there by increasing the team productivity and efficiency.

It is easy to navigate and simple to work. Redwood is more fully automated than any other tool in Batch scheduling. The newly created dashboard is beneficial when any jobs are skipped from schedules. Redwood GUI and support is awesome. Installing and configuring Redwood agents are pretty easy and scheduling jobs on Redwood helps in triggering the batches as per business requirements

In Redwood the key advantage is we can monitor all the business process automation jobs from different systems, also jobs can be moved from one system to another system. Scheduling batch jobs is also became easy by using Redwood tool, jobs run is parallel and we can also set limit to them. It has many inbuilt functionalities which helps to do less manual work.

In Redwood the code written is very low and it is one of the core business advantage. Industries like manufacturing, retail, utility and biotech and hospitality use this software. We have a total control on the jobs that are running and we have a feature of load balancing through nodes which can restrict job running in parallel by entering size limit in ECC queue. This software is very handy to use and has minimal supervision in running. The UI feels fresh and legible which makes it use easily.

Completely automated tool with minimal need for operator involvement. It requires very little supervision to operate and is very simple to use. We can depend on the software to ensure that our key business operations function smoothly and practically without any unexpected mistakes. We use business process automation, and by automating the fundamental Batch operations, we have benefited greatly. We rely on the software to carry out the activities. You can manage many systems to tackle complicated problems with little effort. One aspect that can be enhanced is the fact that the session expires rather frequently and we must re-login to the environment systems through the dashboard. Other than that, I like utilizing this tool. executing OS instructions or scripts generating reports using various selection criteria Notifications of job failure and delays

Redwood software provides different functionalities like Keyword search, fuzzy search etc. as well as the symbols for the event raised, event cleared, warning, and message .sometimes we face issues in integration and deployment. I couldn't send alert mail to few recipient's and the job log has size limit. But we can't write a logic to run a job with past dates.

Redwood is the best choice if you want to use a specialized program to perform all batch tasks and chains as well as manage your ERP burden, database workload, and other workloads. By clicking "Get support files" in the Redwood window's upper right corner, we can submit log files to the Redwood support staff anytime we run into problems with the system. Unlike other software that doesn't support it, Redwood software is supported in practically all web browsers. Redwood software doesn't have many drawbacks, but I'll mention a recent instance where I found it challenging to submit a job definition using the REST POST servicenowcreateincident method in chains and to use the Snow URL to determine whether any jobs had failed or encountered errors before raising an incident with Service Now management. Scripting was clearly outlined in the job description, which was really helpful to me.

Compared to UC4, dynamics, and selenium this will be stand-out automation software, where even a beginner can get to know things from scratch. As a fresher without background of testing and automation i learnt this Redwood software and did many R&Ds to make it a stable system before go live happened. Before we were using SAP CPS chronicle tool to schedule batch jobs which doesn't had user friendly interface and not flexible enough to use, But later when we shifted to Redwood software everything was hazzle free and could import 100S of jobs just using a script that made our life much easier.

The system lets you run tasks in parallel to reduce overall runtime, unlike the built-in scheduler in SAP. You can also set your multi-step job so that if a step fails, follow-on steps will still run...again unlike the SAP scheduler. It's also very easy to set up calendar-based jobs, for example, those that should only run during a month-end week. There are many other scheduling options available.

Things we don't run via Redwood are tasks that need to run VERY often...for example, every minute or so. We decided to run those directly in SAP.

Since we are not an SAP shop, which I know the RunMyJobs company has, it seems like it's hit and miss, where I think maybe an SAP shop might have less issues. AS400/iSeries is touch and go. We have a lot of SSIS package runs and some complicated chains, file watchers that kick off events, and even are able to kick off scheduled jobs in ServiceNow.

Multiple system[s] can be configured in Redwood Business Process Automation so in a single Redwood tool we can monitor all the jobs for all the different systems[.] It was not possible in [the] SAP system, in SAP GUI we have to login individual system to check individual job, and setting [an] alert and monitoring is very quick in Redwood Business Process Automation.

Can't find any less appropriate areas [seen] from my end. But the ability to automate the entire [batch flow] - both the simple executions, but also the highly complex chains with several dependencies, be it dates, times, other jobs[,] etc. - in a very simplistic way, what is not to like.

As our ERP adoption across business units has grown, so have the number of jobs, and Redwood Business Process Automation has worked very well in removing non-value-added activities and a bottleneck from the administration of these jobs. It is also providing role-based access to functional leads, which has improved the time to resolution as well as providing numerous continual improvement opportunities. Redwood Business Process Automation product has changed our organization's thought process around job scheduling.

I think that any company that is running SAP should be triggering their jobs with Redwood. The scheduling features and options in Redwood give you so much more flexibility than the options provided by SAP. As more and more security mandates come down from the ivory towers, it seems the best idea for companies is to restrict individual access to the production SAP environments and run it all through a scheduling tool, my preference obviously being Redwood. It also enable[s] you to keep longer history for your jobs than SAP traditionally prefers. It gives you a centralized location where you can track all of the jobs you have been running, if you are doing file transfers you can track the success or failure of those transfers much easier using Redwood than you could if you just sent them off to some file transfer service. In my humble opinion, if you are running SAP, you shouldn't be doing it without Redwood. It's not just an SAP tool of course, but all of my experience has revolved around SAP being the central data processing system which is why I've focused so much of my review of Redwood around that.

It is well-suited to our environment where we run SAP but also have multiple middle-ware applications.

RunMyJobs is flexible enough to be able to invoke and orchestrate jobs originating in any of those environments, tying them together

Our admins rely on their informational dashboards to ensure data flow in and out of our company is running smoothly as our cashflow depends on it.
