We use sage x3 as our ERP. It is our primary accounting software that we use to maintain our general ledger accounts, payables and finally prepare our financial statements. We track our revenue, expenses, profit and account balances thru Sage. Sage is our one stop shop for any accounting needs.
  • Easy to understand software for new users.
  • Journal entry and review process is easy.
  • Sage is efficient in tracking multi subsidiary transactions.
  • In my opinion, data export process is hard.
  • I think Sage x3 does not offer connectivity to a lot of software.
  • I htink the data import process is cumbersome.
We are a SaaS company but Sage is best suited for manufacturing companies. Sage worked well for us while we were small but as we continued expanding, from experience we had trouble with the system. In my opinion, Sage would be a lot better if it offered better connectivity and APIs for various other sofwares.

  • Sage was easy to setup when we got started.
  • Exporting data out of sage has been extremely hard.
  • Sage is quite fairly priced compared to other alternatives.
Sage has quite less setup cost and was easy to setup. Sage is capable of managing multi subsidiary transactions. It was easy for our team members to learn and start using. Team leads has some issues while approving invoices initially but it was fine later. Sage is a good option for mid scale manufacturing firms.

Sage X3 is our one-stop shop for order processing, purchasing and receiving, stock control, accounts payable and receivable, and financials. Implemented nearly two years ago, Sage ERP X3 automated many of the processes we were completing via spreadsheets, building departmental efficiencies through the streamlining of processes while securing our information in one centralized location. Eliminating many of our paper processes has sped up purchasing and receiving and providing an easily auditable trail of information for years to come.
  • The user interface has everything you would expect and in practical locations so you do not have to hunt and peck for the items you are looking for
  • Drill-down from GL to submodules works seamlessly
  • Easy import and export of data
  • The software is relatively easy to manage
  • Complications in configuration. Had to use a third party vendor to help us customize the system so we could better use it within the organization. This added additional expense
  • Some error messages are in French. If you aren't French, or can't speak French, this makes it pretty hard to troubleshoot
  • If you want to customize reports, you need to know Crystal Reporting (at least for the version I am using)
I wouldn't suggest this ERP for small organizations, especially if there is no IT staff. While they do offer support packages, they can be costly as certain packages limit the number of times you can call in. Hiring an outside consulting firm to support is another route, however that could become costly as well.

Medium to large businesses with savvy tech staff would be a good fit for this ERP.

Unfortunately, the product was purchased before I began working at the organization. I am unsure what other products they may have reviewed before purchasing Sage ERP X3.
