Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

We are using a small boutique firm called Buzzbold. The founder Steve Ley has personally lead the discovery phase and we are now in testing and moving to production, Steve spent four days onsite with our staff during discovery. Steve did a great job engaging our staff, having them help call out the needs and identify pains and would be nice to have solutions.
Examples are:
  • Data integration (over 2mm data points)
  • Standard operating procedures (SOP) storage and workflow
  • Case management w/ queues
  • Chatter groups
  • Custom logo and login
  • Email with outlook integration and email templates
  • integration with 3rd party systems: constant contact, mail chimp, etc.
  • Many other tasks : our RFP was over 20 pages!

We implemented Salesforce in-house. In May 2011, I started a Salesforce (and NetSuite) consulting business to help customers implement and/or optimize Salesforce. www.saascg.com

We have used external consultant services for deploying 3rd party products like Big Machines and consultants to implement solutions inside of Salesforce.com We used Strategic Growth for a recent project to build a dashboard (a comprehensive account view). It was a good experience.

Combo of in-house and consultants. I used a sales operations/ Salesforce.com administrator from another local high tech company who was moonlighting. There’s an abundance of SF administrators flying around – that’s a key advantage.

We did the main implementation in-house, but worked with one company to outsource a couple of projects – Force Brain (http://www.forcebrain.com/) based in San Francisco. The experience was not great but the final product was good. We went through 3 different project managers, multiple lead developers, account managers and had to give a brain dump every time. They have hard time retaining talent. However the current project manager is great.

In the past, I have used Cleartask, a small boutique firm in San Francisco. We were starting to have dialog with Accenture that has a growing practice and had satisfied customers. I have not used any of the Indian development firms but would imagine that HCL, Tata, Wipro might be good solutions. I have had some experiences with Appirio and Astadia 2 years back and had mixed results. In my experience, it depends on who you get from their bench. Perhaps they’ve improved. Our Zuora implementation required customization within Salesforce. We are using Zuora Professional Services but that was problematic as we didn’t get high code quality.
